Premium Member Snoopy, the Red Baron, and Dragon

Dragon fell asleep at his nappy time, and his dreams were so sublime.
He’d just heard the song, ‘Snoopy Vs The Red Baron’, one more time.
That Plus ‘Snoopy’s Christmas’, both were… very old… favorites of mine!
And, I swear to you… this is how his dreams… Really… did align…

Snoopy’s Dog House was in for repair. His little mechanic bird friends…
Were working feverishly making repairs for Snoopys’ next battle to begin.
But as the time drew near… Snoopy couldn’t wait… He couldn’t be late.
A Duel of honor had been struck, and it was time for the Red Baron’s fate.

He’d AGAIN appear! Snoopy had to be there at dawn, to fight for our team.
To save our beloved Life, Liberty, Freedom, and the great American Dream.
The Red Baron was never late, or missed, this duel! He yearly repeated…
It was the anniversary of his greatest loss. This, he wanted! No! He needed!

This was, once again, his chance to Win! So Snoopy did the amazing thing!
He called on Dragon to see him thru! Yes, Dragon would supply the wings.
He’d be in a dog fight with Snoopy, against the Red Baron, to the bitter end.
What the Red Baron didn’t know was… he didn’t stand a chance, my friend.

Not with these two Super heroes, together, and they did start out, so true!
At least, until Snoopy’s machine gun jammed! Oh! What would they do??!!
Freedom Simply Couldn’t Be Lost, when it didn’t go, as they had planned!
But never fear, with Dragon here, at Snoopy’s inventive, brilliant command!

Snoopy called on Dragon’s most wonderous, Top Secret Strength, acquired!
Yep, you guessed! He had Dragon spit out, Really, Great, Big Balls of Fire!
Naturally that couldn’t be beat! Better yet, as The Red Baron leaned in…
Diving from above! Dragon did the greatest Loop de Loop EVER SEEN!

Yep, He ended up, right behind the Red Baron’s illustrious, flying machine!
Then Snoopy let his Dragon of War loose, to do his special thing, so keen!
And as you guessed, the tail of the Red Barons’ plane, caught fire, so sweet!
Sending him home… in a massive, humbling, complete and utter DEFEAT!

The moral of this story is: Never Mess with our… American Super Heroes!
Dedicated to the True Heroes of 9/11, the First Responders, and our Amazing
Soldiers… They’re the best the World will ever see!

Charlie Brown got rocks
In his Halloween treat sack...
Snoopy made them friends

Peanuts Charlie Brown's Snoopy

My favourite comics is the Peanuts strip
Featuring 'good grief' good old Charlie Brown
Reading it takes me on a pleasant trip
Especially when Snoopy is around

Charlie Brown's faithful beagle is Snoopy
They get along with each other quite well
He can be sneaky when he is ready
Yet, just when and where, you can never tell

When Linus, in one hand, holds his blanket
The thumb of his other hand in his mouth
Snoopy sneaks in, suddenly grabs hold of it
Then runs around, spinning him all about

Yellow Woodstock is Snoopy's feathered friend
He bounces up and down when he's flying
On Snoopy's friendship he needs to depend
He alone knows what Woodstock is saying

Snoopy flies off in his Sopwith Camel
To the skies to battle the Red Baron
They both engage in a fearsome duel
Each trying to outdo the other one

Snoopy dances around when he's happy
If Lucy is close by, she must watch out
He would dance up to her very closely
Lean over and then kiss her on the mouth

Charlie Brown's dog, Snoopy,
black and white with ears so droopy,
likes to give Lucy a doggie kiss,
knowing it will make her fuss and hiss.

Premium Member Snoopy and Snowman

Snoopy and Snowman

Snoopy challenged his huge friend, Snowman
Who has no legs, feet and two icicle hands
He gave him snowball and said, “Throw it!
If you can’t, I’ll call you a Triple Naught in 6 Feet!”

Snowman didn’t want Snoopy’s jeering stuffs
He accepted his challenge with his growling puffs
If I can, I’ll call you in turn a Double Diddly-squat
And a twisted nut-puppy who’s afraid of all cats

The two friends kept on bantering each other
Snowman got twigs from a tree without his ladder
Jabbed them on his sides like a pair of antlers
Sticking out like he’d swallowed two stags together

Before throwing, he bragged his brown hand-icicles
He didn’t know, snowball is a wheel of Santa’s bicycle
When he was about to hurl the snowball as far as he could
Santa shouted, “Do it! Both of you will have gifts:cat foods!”

Snoopy and Linus Play Blanket Tug of War

Snoopy is a crazy dog
His heads always in a fog
Thinking of some fun new ways
To steal a blanket each day
That Linus loves very much
But its like an evil rush
That turns Snoopy really "mad"
He wants this blanket really bad
Hiding in trees way up high
He'll pounce Linus walking by
With an evil scary look
Becoming a blanket crook
Not giving up he will succeed
Something in him really needs
To win this blanket tug of war
It is deep in Snoopy's core
To find a cooky silly plan
And pull it out of this boys hand

A request from my daughter which I
gladly wrote

Snoopy Meets Snowman

Snoopy Meets Snowman

On one cold wintry day,
Snoopy went out to play,
With the Snowman, wearing a black top hat!

All excited to hear, “go fetch,”
Body posed and ready to catch,
But, the Snowman stood still and erect!

“Come on, come on! Throw it!”
(Barking silently in his mind)
“These are not sticks! They’re my arms you twit!
(The snowman replied, in kind)

Premium Member Santa and Snoopy

Santa got drunk and pissed all over the snow
bumble tossed it and yellowed Rudolph's' nose
the elves twitched their ears in dismay
Sam the snowman boarded the sleigh
Santa slept in snoopys house out in the cold

Ode to Charlie Brown's Christmas

Our picture frame window
Is garlanded with evergreen limbs
Twined in white twinkling lights pinecones and fairy bells
And outside
From the dinner time dark that is a week before Christmas
Santa waves

Lit up like a little lantern

The hope for snow
Anymore
Any year
Has become as nostalgic as Perry Como
Singing from the static of AM radio

Golden retriever
Snuggles to my left
An arm rest

Our three-legged black cat
Asleep between my outstretched legs
Compensates
Dreams of a human leg attached to her empty hind joint

Cozies closer
Meows as if she’s running and leaping

Proper

My wife
On the other couch
Dressed in a red Christmas sweater
Her face clear and elegant as a glass ornament
Carefully preserved to our tree’s highest branch

Perhaps swaying alone in the living room
To the furnace vent

Our orange and white cat
A travel pillow
Wrapped
To the back of her neck

I can hear her purring from way over here

“What a shame Charlie Brown has been stolen
From us all
By Apple TV.” I say

“At least we have the memory.” My wife suggests
“Remember his destitute tiny tree
Decorated by Snoopy Lucy Linus and all their friends?

“And then together
They serenaded the snow falling
With Hark the Herald Angels Sing?”

“Yes I remember so well
It’s ancient message
First released

“From the year of my birth.”

Premium Member Snoopy Easter

Easter rabbits surrounded the beagle and he began to dance
Springtime grasses urged Snoopy on, so he began to prance.
More rabbits arrived at the meadow on Charlie Brown’s hill.
Lucy and Charlie came too, and Pigpen who smelled like dill.
Charles Schultz is smiling as he draws a dancing Snoopy today.
If there is one thing this cartoonist knows how to do, it is to play!

Premium Member Snoopy For A Biography

Call me snoopy,
but I like to read
and admire
a poet's biography.

Where do you live,
and what do you?
What words of wisdom
would you give?

I feel cheated
when you don't say,
I fret about that
for much of the day.

You share poetry,
it's a piece of you,
but without a biography
you are a mystery!

Premium Member Tired of Marthas Snoopy Way

We were fed up with Martha’s snoopy way
Cheered when her head rolled off one day
Did her head stop talking?
It surely did not; it kept squawking.

It kept rolling over and over.
So we put it into a bird cage pot.
Martha was always putting people in situations on the spot.
Her nose grew bigger and bigger, I kid you not.

She was always in everyone’s business, giving advice.
She did not have many friends for she was not real nice.

Premium Member Dance Like Snoopy

if you have to dance, dance with your hands whirling
allow yourself freedom to let your feet go twirling
slip and slide and throw yourself into the air
without any inhibitions, do all the squirming you dare

If you go dancing, do it the excited Snoopy way
You will be happy that you did this, by the end of the day
Clap and stomp and kick and slide, do whatever you can
To show you are not afraid of a boss or disapproving old man.

dance with pure happiness, throw your arms out with glee
shimmy and shake, dance alongside at least three
spin with happiness, give your soul opportunity for joy
dance yourself into enthusiasm, making the floor your own toy.

concocting a sweet lovable beagle
an ace who could fly like an eagle
