A poet's soul lay in slumber,
his pen a distasteful adversary.

A suffering soul lost in yesterday,
stumbled upon his somnolent path.
Enchanted eyes felt her nakedness
through barriers of her cryptic veil.
Echoing tremors of her broken soul
gently charmed his hardened heart.
Enraptured by her enchanted tears
he joined her capricious journey.

Her enigmatic elegance inspired his
zealous zealot pen to ooze musings
praising their charismatic camaraderie.

Drifting into the anomaly of her mind,
he became a victim of a Freudian slip.
Voices tormented her malinger mantra,
suffocating her into a maudlin malaise.

Reprehensible words led to bruised ego,
unjustifiable actions led to lonely silence.

An aroma that expired with her last petal.

A poet's soul lays in slumber,
his pen a distasteful adversary.

Freudian slip
a slip-up that (according to Sigmund Freud) results from the operation of unconscious wishes or conflicts and can reveal unconscious processes in normal healthy individuals

Living Among Walking Statues

There are certain people
who appear to be normal on the outside
like the have it all together.
To me, these people remind me of walking statues,
that walk around wearing these big genuine
ridiculous phony smiles.

Once you go beneath the surface,
 its a whole different world,
where silence is mostly spoken.

And when you're in their presence
which,you'll never know when,
or,where that will be.
So you must always stay on guard
because,they're very observant,
and, very crafty in choosing their words wisely,
in order not to be detected.

And whatever you say,
 or do,might come back
and haunt you.
But,this'll all depend
on how conduct yourself.

At the same time
while you're desperately walk on eggshells
trying not to slip up.
Insanity slowly begins its journey
into your mind,
torturing you with every passing second,
causing extreme sweating and
making your heart beat out of control.

And as long as you let them see your weakness,
they will continue to torture you with their fakness .

Good Morning

What is time?
                                           another spin around the dial
                                             Tick tock goes the clock
                                     Second to minute:A voice screaming
                                                        ''Hey Doc''

                                                   Time to wake
                                              Time to make a new
                                   Feat to floor,seldom make it,except a few
These random mornings my watch I do not wear
                                 I wake,smile and laugh''without the utmost care''

Slip up my double knot and dare the world...

On cloud twelve, now feat can't touch the ground
                                                        Nor would I let
                                           Smiling a smirk sweetly smiling
                                                        Not one regret...

To harness this morning would be Heaven in a bottle that I must leave behind
If it is''as of now'' it has to be aged -potential to be a unique and special wine...

I raise my glass to the next tasting.....

Premium Member Emma Sees the Light

Emma saw the light on that Sunday bright.
Her hands, they were folded, and knees bent right.
She smiles at the Pastor’s words.
The sun through the window stirred.
A slip up of epic proportions - quite!

Up front, in the center of congregants,
a holiness plagues, as the church does chant.
In sheer white she forgot slip.
Her blush is the shade of RIP.*
She slinks from her seat, in a hurried slant.

Premium Member Tamiviolet Is This Really You?

Tamiviolet, Tamiviolet
I must say my dear
I read your poem 'Oh,Yes' today.
I thought I can't believe it
How did poetrysoup slip up
To allow someone to put
A poem like yours, on their Internet
I am a widow
And your words truly did shock me
But when you involved your own daughter
I just about lost it, yes sir ree
I hadn't picked up on this side of you
In the poems of yours I'd read
And here on world wide internet
You bragged about the part your daughter played
Now I feel it is up to me,
To inform the whole world today
Tamiviolet as of right now,
You have just been tagged.

Forgotten Not

No Matter How Many Times I Slip Up
You Never Give Up, No Not On Me
I Cry With All My Might
And Its Almost Like You See
Yet It Doesnt Bother You
That Im Weak
You Dont Seem
To Forget Me
No Matter How Low I Am
You Tell Me That Im Strong
Had Faith In Me All Along
Even When I Did That Stuff
That Stuff That Hurt So Bad
You Told Me I Could Beat It
Somehow You Never Seemed Mad
And Now You Try, To Just Stop And Say Hello
Don't Worry Your Not Forgotten To Me Either
Oh No, Oh No, Oh No
'Cuss When I Was Weak
Your Words Gave Me Strength
When I Was Down
You Somehow Restored My Faith
When I Was Low
You Helped My Hope
That I Would Be Okay
Reminded Me That I Wasnt Forgotten
Not By Thee, And
Ill Make It Somewhere One Day
'Cuss I Dont Have To Give Up
Not Like I Use To
And I Can Stand Tall
Proud, Despite What I Use To Do
We All Have Our Past
But Theirs A Reason For That
So That We Can Create A Future
Even If The Past Cant Be Forgotten Now
I Can Put It Behind Me
You Helped Me To See
Life Truly
And Forever Ill Be
A Friend To Thee
Thank You For Helping Me
Forgotten
You'll Never Be

Handy Man

Nail fools when I bang this hammer, construction worker

I use my tool, that's my chick, I love to work her

Ain't putting her on the strip, no prostitution

She's my problem solver, always got a solution

Put haters to sleep, tuck 'em, not in the bed

Love to give head, no sucking, fill the dome with lead

Me and her have intercourse, love to bust

A wonderful relationship, filled with trust

I'm twisted, like an almond, I'm a nut

Loose screws, gonna force me to tighten ya'll up

Crazy, Bang! Now ya' really lost ya' minds

Mess around and squeal, skin you pigs, call that pork-rinds

Demolition, I level fools, leave 'em flatline

Better not slip up, I'll run down on you, like your spine

Haters wanna hate, it's time to segregate

The real from the fake, hope you can relate

Backstabbing fools, smile in your face

That's why I'm handy, the hammer's on my waist

Mess around, make me catch a big case

Gotta' get away, try and make some space

Hopping on planes, to get away from lames

'Bout to change my name, ain't switching my game

Can't trust haters, trying to mess up your life

They're filled with strife, cut 'em off, where's my knife

They done made me mad, go grab my tools

For my craft, time to put work on these fools

Hustle Like Me

They call you corporate?
Well then so am I
You’re that same guy I saw pass by
And cut your eyes in my direction
Like I was some kind of menace
But we’re both lawless
I run my world from where you wouldn’t dare
You run yours from that big corner office
Same hustle
Different size slice cut from the same seedy pie
The only real difference?
You run your sins from a hundred floors high
But you hustle just like me

Mr. White Collar critic
I may openly live it
But just like me
You push your product towards the weak and impulsive
So like it or not you’ve been right in it
Just like me
Supply and demand
Different trade, same plan
We target the same clientele
That same vulnerable man
Cause’ once that money changes hands
We both have no shame
All green money spends the same
You got your stocks, insider trade
I got my rocks
We’re both self made
You got your inside sources turned state’s witness
I employ the young and ambitious
Sometimes they slip up
And they too become snitches
So the flavor in your greed taste just like mine
Two people who at the end of the day
Pull up their britches in the same way
One crooked leg at a time
So you see
You hustle just like me

You got your “just in case” insurance
Stashed off shore, to be dispensed upon request
You launder
I make threats
Eventually,
What both of us want both of us gets
You keep a tight circle
I keep one too
But mine’s called a crew
In any case it keeps us less nervous
But they serve the same damn purpose
They help us sleep while our money stays in service
What I sell makes people believe they can fly
So yes,
My trade is predicated on a lie
But I guess
Your trade is just as cleverly disguised
It’s just that your lies are forgiven by less judgmental eyes
But both our business models have destroyed innocent lives
So in essence
When you stare at me
It’s like a mirrored view into your own scandal clad eyes
You know why?
Cause’ you hustle
Just like me

The Eyes of Venus

Hot raptor breath
Push goosebumps to life
On the golden-honey flesh
Of a most desired sight.

Deeply tanned and rubenesque,
Unsheathed, scented shoulders.
Arms that distill without cause to beckon
The wills of the penile-brained knights.

Wallow in her moist pink flower.
Defend with your armor that nymphet tower.
But beware, Dear Sir, should your eye slip up
Two orbs of Venus power.

When a Teacher Retires

The Show Must Go On....

The program has been meticulously drawn up...
Planned to the smallest detail to ensure no slip up..
The performers are primed, lined up and all ready...,
The guest of honor is well seated, calm and steady....

We're gathered today to pay tribute to a dedicated teacher...
Who tendered 36years of his working life to education....
In his humble and unassuming demeanour synomous with dedication...
Therein lies a character of honor, love, understanding and compassion ...

Unobstrusively he goes about his daily duties in teaching...
Spreading knpwledge , facts and wisdom unceasingly...
Today is a most historic day full of significance...
For we are here to salute the giant of a man in Mr Leong...

Teacher extraordinaire who teaches without any fanfare...
It is sad to realise this dedicated man of knowledge....
Has to draw time on his pilgrimage to enlighten students....
As one we all wish him well and may he well continue to prosper...

In health, wealth and happiness, and all things good life can offer...
Happy retirement, O great teacher, All the best as you gracefully retire...!

Love Story Pt 3 ( Only 98 More To Go )

Why her of all people? Why'd I have to fall in love with her?
I'm losing my mind and it's not a figure of speech.
Tell me the truth, no tell me the lie do you love me too?
I'm under a different kind of pressure 'cause it looks like I'm falling deeper with you.
Was there a slip-up in life when I saw you two?
I hope you can understand that I'm just being me when I say, "I love you."

Premium Member She Has Nothing I Want

I understand the importance
of remaining faithful to the one you love.
When two hearts become one, and the knot is tied,
no simple thing was done!

It really had no resemblance
to taking a stroll through the park.
Though there was much to see
there was far too little time to sit.
It wasn't like watching a terrible film
and then badgering the employees -
no refund was available, this was it.

What I don't understand, however,
is how readily available women
are with their ammunition,
when you so much as look
in another lady's direction.
She becomes hard like a Catholic teacher,
sending me straight to detention.

The female form is a beautiful thing.
Would you not agree?
You don't have to be a guy
to notice how lovely.

I believe you should be incredibly worried
if I never looked at any other.
Even the best of us are quite stupid,
but don't call me disloyal

I believe you should have faith I won't slip up.
You didn't just pick me out of the gutter...
You planted a seed deep inside
and turned this dirt into promising soil.

That girl in the red bikini
who walked daintily on the beach
was simply that -
A girl in a red bikini
walking daintily on a beach!

The truth is I don't know a thing about her:
her favorite color or what she smells of when she wakes,
or whether she's into dogs or cats
(I know when you see a kitten with a ball of yarn, your heart just quakes).

I don't know her ticklish spots,
the perfume she wears, or what she likes to eat.
Can she down just about anything, like you,
And still remain light on her feet?

I haven't the slightest clue
for she is simply a girl passing through.
She has nothing I could ever want,
nothing that would ever hope to satisfy.
She is like a pretty picture
- a reminder of my humanity.
But with you, my dear,
you make me feel like I have wings,
that could so easily touch the sky!

Falling Reality

I'm losing my sense of time,
And I can't feel my nerves.
Trying to hold on for dear life,
Until a nightmare returns.

I can't feel my limbs,
And I simply fall overboard.
I try my best to grasp reality,
But it's only a thin cord.

If I slip up in reality,
It's doubled in my mind.
As I fall beyond the edge,
I leave my reality behind.

My relationship with others,
It's simply disappearing.
Holding onto a vanishing face,
This is what I'm fearing.

I'm pushed to my limits,
And someone is there as well.
Hands touch my back as I try,
Remembering everything as I fell.

I'm unstable, and I can't take it anymore,
Tripping over my feet and falling from above.
I'm losing my grip on my life as I fall,
I'm afraid, for I'm also losing my love.

Dreams turn to nightmares,
But I can't figure them out.

An Aid To Depression and Lonliness

Experiencing depression’s a tragic thing; it consumes soul, body and mind.
It gnaws and gnaws till it debilitates you; a remedy's what you must find!

Once caught in its clutch, it’s so hard to escape, from the pit and the miry clay:
If you don’t do this, then you’ll never again, see the beautiful light of day.

The First method to use is to set out a plan; a plan that has reachable goals.
Get some advice from a ‘reliable’ source, advice that’s not ‘shot full of holes.’

The next thing in line is decidedly tough; it’s to make sure your plan performs.
Don’t get upset with a slip up or two, it’s a ‘must’ to ride through these storms!

When all this is done then have a review, programme this in, once a week.
Already you’ve started with positive terms; things will gradually look less bleak!!
