The Skeletal Poem

The human skeleton,
is made up of 206 bones
By jove, they are hard,
as if made of stones!

The brain you think with
is in the Skull or Cranium,
the Maxilla and the Mandible
are for chewing bubble gum.

It's atop the spine
which has 33 Vertebrae in all
You're sure gonna break it
if there's a nasty fall.

The 12 pairs of ribs
act just like a big ring,
while 10 fix to the Sternum
the bottom 2 are Floating.

The shoulder blade or the Scapula
is joined with the Clavicle
How they organize the movement
Is another spectacle.

The arms have the Humerus,
the Radius and the Ulna,
The hands' have wrist bones
called Carpals (not made in China).

With Metacarpals and Phalanges
we complete our hand,
don't you forget the lower limbs,
upon which we stand.

The hip bones make the Pelvis
from which the Femur originate
If you gyrate it like elvis
the Patella is sure to break.

Tibia and Fibula
are there in the Shin
The Tarsals and Metatarsals
shape your feet as it's seen.

Our journey ends here
Let me take your leave,
Take good care of your bones
for as long as you live.

Under Skeletal Remains

The sea summons in unrelenting whispers
haunting the night as waves spin their spliced harrowing tales

Hallowed echoes an unending scourge over tenderness
weeping secrets wait held in bondage’s everlasting kiss

Terrified to speak as translation becomes disloyalty
aching is betrayal and compassion is flammable fragility

One misstep and balance becomes twisted alienated from truth
as fear takes hold from these toxic dissonant words

Scathing reproach becomes buried beneath tidal swells
carrying out its inevitable pilgrimage towards unrighteousness

Cold suspicion scatters on the shores in broken shells
trapped by suffering and tormented by long ago betrayals

Decaying memories never lived once imagined still dwell unanswered
this is not love quietly whispers on the wind of denial's farewell....

Premium Member Skeletal Branches

Autumn trees stand forboding
With their skeletal branches,
Silhouettes in pale moonlight,
Like witches fingers.

Scary pictures on the wall,
Killing scenes encompass all.
Every year when ghosts arrive
Laughter fails. It cannot thrive,
Echo ghouls in twisted lust,
Timeless past of blood flaked rust.
Agents of fear bring Halloween,
Life beware! Death stalks unseen.

Racing heart, terror arises
Erasing hope in compromises
Midnight hour the spirits feast,
A test of courage for the human beast;
Image of Death, the skull with no face
Nestled in bones securely in place,
Skeletal remains, holding a mace.

In the chilled space of time,
There she stood—unperturbed;
There she stood, cold and motionless
As if a victim of death, but not dead;
There she stoically stood—challenging
All of nature; even man himself—daring.

There she stood—leafless—her tall skeleton
Piercing the sky as if a monument to her life
And being—a naked statue with arms spread wide.

If her imaging could speak, standing there, she
Would probably say: “Joy not; mourn not…I shall return;
I shall return in all the beauty and fullness of my being.”

There she stood, gloriously rooted—nature’s most profound
Teaching symbol of the essence of life, death and resurrection—
Indeed, what could be more representative than a wintered tree!

Skeletal Remains I

Strange filiment of twine
Mark the passage of time
Counting the scars of pain
Moments washing overs these skeletal remains
Burning down thy kingdom, come
Humanity
Strange secret Lies are told to hide the shame
An ornate ornamental
objective truth is passed down
the leagues of time
One can not hid the imagery
of the crime weaving strange filaments
of memories into a tapestry of tragedy
Counting the sparrows
the markers of sorrow
The tormented lies burrows deep into tomorrow
Seconds from burn out,
the hollow one
Remains a drift in the home
of the last lineages
Washing over these
strange secrets skeletal remains,
The remains of an angry beast
Burning the empire of the mind
The Kingdom of the endless hours erode
Into the deep seas of sorrow
hallow be thy nameless divinities jest
Memory thy name is Sparrow,
fly in my minds eye
the maker of sorrows talons rest
Burning down the flesh
exposing of the odd ornate objects of antiquity.
Cracked and covered in lies like tangle wire
A Life lived, flowing into tomorrow
A life behind the vast vacant vail
Set a match, watch it burn
Tear down your crown
Burying it in the ground
There Lies humanities
strange skeletal remains.

Skeletal Remains Iii

Here & there, everywhere
lie pieces & parts of me
I exist only in the moments between what is and will be…

Taking a ride to the minimart...
Enjoy the passing lands...
...watching the sun playing on the warm sands.
These are fragments of imagery; memory.

Notes to a past life through a Childs looking glass
Sticks and stones blocks and collecting rocks tug of war,
Cowboys, and Indians and don’t forget monsters and such…

These are the fragments of thought here, there, and everywhere.

Lie the secrets of these skeletal remains, My moral refrain…

The life intertwined; a shard of crazy cracked glass,
door knobs made of brass,
firelight camping at night jumping at strange sites…

These are the fragments of me, my history!

Laughing like a loon to the break of noon,
staring at the lights of stars far, far above blazing from millenniums ago…

Fragments of things seen, known n believed!

Ghost stories and hot chocolate, jack o lanterns and witches scream,
these are what memories are made of, here and there lie these mortal remains…

This is all that is or will be again, faded memories pasted
into this tired and ruined frame, a scrapbook of imagery.

Posted deep into the past, pasted together from my fragments.
...together with collected things: Midnight in backyards, playing cards, broken toys, dog-eared books, quiet metronomes, and black rooks…

Moments lost once more,
so off to neverlands of distant mystery,
the vibrations die from the distant bell,
as echoes of jingle bells and carols
fall silent on a snowy evening…

The ticks of a cooling car on a winter night, the tocks of old clocks in grandfather's home, where shadows roam...

This is where I find the fragments of my time,
as I dig through my skeletal remains,
its parts fall on obscure shores
of distant histories…

Thunder and rain,
fears of war,
inner eyes cloud,
different thoughts crowd
like snow drifting in empty rooms.

Sun-rays fall as the wind plays,
dancing on my summer planes
these images are lost
in dusty folded faded photographs…

Define in my skeletal remains,
my bones barely seek human form,
they remember the pieces n parts of my existence,
as only anything can,

here & there & everywhere,

I am left picking up my skeletal remains...

Skeletal

Twilight reaches the camp where he’s held,
While moonlight illuminates his gaunt figure.
The wires do surround all the cells,
And the guards have their hands on the triggers.
They’re forced in the showers from night until dawn,
Bleeding from where they were marked,
The process of corpses goes on and on,
Not many make it to dark.
The Sonderkommando shove bodies to flame,
While the SS take out the others.
For Himmler and Hitler, this all is a game,
While loved ones are made to kill brothers.
None make it pas the gallows and gas,
In order to live, please put on this mask.
