Skeletal Branches

Autumn trees stand forboding 
With their skeletal branches, 
Silhouettes in pale moonlight, 
Like witches fingers.

Hi Tom...you have made the apt comparison and the image corresponds to the thoughts expressed. Quite spooky..! Here I see another new poetic form.

Hello Tom, although the leaves have changed color, and some have fallen to the ground, those leaves are still hanging on. They are not ready to fall to the ground yet. Enjoy your day my friend.

They do look scary at this time of year, fingers moving in winters wind, lots of imagery went through my mind when reading Tom, Emilia : ) x
