Skeletal Enchantress

She's an eclipsed daughter, satanic stars slaughter,

as smoked skulls scream powers, dead enchantress flowers.

The testing of your intellectual powers using poetry has given a us something not to read by candlelight but to ponder while the day is still bright where we can appreciate the skill involved in bringing it it into being without our stomach heaving. I wish you a Christmas worth remembering. David in NZ

You've given the work a frightening air by opting for a gloomy Alexandrine, dear Hiya, alluding to the introspection that creeps in each one of us. It's a lovely, thoughtful work of art. I'd like to express my gratitude for the excellent quality of your writing in this poetry. Your command of syntax is impressive, and your use of evocative terms to convey the subject matter to life is excellent. Best of luck in the contest!

An excellent arrangement of words, this is the best one I have read so far.. Your vocabulary is great and you have used adjectives to describe the theme very well..

Wow! Evil foreboding, forbidden, with its perverted beauty. Well done, Hiya!

So much like the sleeping beast in us all -- temperamentally while slyly ongoing -- Oh would that inherently beautiful-spirit be allowed to blossom freely openly all time! -- the exterior around us often not conducive...leading to an armor contrary to naked, pure love, shinning while yet a repellent-fashion. Great read!

What a most haunting alexandrine this is! I love your choice of rhymes here and the way this flows so seamlessly in a spooky vibe that truly fits the theme of the season and contest so eloquently! I love smoked skull screams, how brilliant is your way with weaving alliterations! And the opening line i love how youv written “ eclipsed orchid” wow! How unique and artistic! “ satanic stars forbid” so deep and spine tingling really! You really can create such poetic takes for any prompt and leave
