Best Silent Majority Poems
This nation, this grand experiment in freedom, is lost.
We are in debt to nations that have never had freedom
And we are to blame. That great silent majority that did not vote.
and all those representatives that allowed us to fail.
A friend called it corporate greed I question the corporate
Up until now all I have done is observe.
It seems to have been a lifetime occupation
What could I have done to prevent this?
Can it be fixed?
Can we just cease paying the salaries and benefits
Of the representatives who have sold us out?
Is their blind ignorance and lack of character beyond recovery?
What kind of freedom is this that allows thievery?
In the name of taxation
Let's hide the enormity of it in payroll deductions
Social Security is a joke our representatives do not get
They have benefits that are way beyond that pittance
Why have we sunk into apathy so far we allowed it?
Why do we still allow it?
This trough they have built to wallow in should be
plated in gold and held up as an example for future
civilizations to fear.
I truly believe we have sunk beyond our capacity to recover.
As to survival? I and my family are capable of finding food and shelter
in New England.
Are You?
Wake up, America!
Wake up you silent majority,
you sons and daughters of liberty.
All who bleed red, white and blue
your country needs you!
Wake up, America!
Wake up to the revolution
and stand up for the constitution.
Stand against division and hate
now before it’s too late!
Wake up, America!
Wake up folks hither and yon
and vote till a great victory is won.
Soon it will be your patriotic turn
to quell the fires that burn!
Wake up, America!
Wake up and repulse evermore
the wolves and jackals at your door.
Alas the riotin’ mobs in your town
want to tear America down!
Wake up, America!
Wake up to all the fake news
and be most careful who you choose.
Get aboard and ride the Trump train
back to Washington again!
Wake up, Sleepy Joe!
America is not a racist country
but Godless marxists want it to be.
And yet still in your basement hidin’
you say nothin’, Joe Biden!
Wake up, America!
And now that the votes are in
miraculous ballots keep appearin’.
Now we see Red states right on cue
mysteriously turnin’ Blue!
Wake up, America!
Well it’s up to the courts now
to seek truth and justice somehow.
Funny how the laptop incrimination
became Russian disinformation!
Wake up, America!
Joe says it’s now time to heal
but first there’s an election to steal.
That stench in the air is hypocrisy
and the death of democracy!
Wake up, America!
For your country say a prayer
that we wake from this nightmare.
But alas as a wise man once spoke
you can’t wake the woke!

I can see them
Clouds of voracity
Covering my stars
Shadowing my reality
These civilized consciences
Have raped my protest
Have spun my web
I can no longer pacify
The tenacious circle of hate
That daily haunts me-
The deprived race
What is it I longed to be
Where come this aggressive reticence
Why this intellectual lock-jaw
I longed to be an alcoholic
I longed to join in the ecstatic dance
I longed to leap into the unknown
To preserve my ancestral pride
Neither did I know
I had no ancestry
I belonged
Not to the human race.
I could no longer trade
That rotting corpse of ancestry
For a dream
Nor could my voice
Accentuated by gesture
Give sacramental significance
To the ailing corpse
I bled from my wounds
I choked in your bonds
I baked in your avarice
How infinite this unity
Of free slaves!
How therapeutic
This hibernation!
They preached brotherhood
Their god issued
Commandments of charity
Which they conveniently
Reserved for the virgins
The silent majority
These invertebrate disturbers of peace
Must always answer with a nod
To those honeyed phrases
Which phased out moral indignation
Only to usher spiritual aberration
The saints had to turn the other cheek
I resigned from imagining, designing
Protesting and even dreaming
Into the routine of living
Without emotional wavelength-
A kind of unconsciousness
What do you say, brother
Should we take flight to freedom
Flee this intellectual tyranny
And accumulated weariness
Should we indulge our consciences
Can one dream thus
Dream of the miracles
They craned their necks
Dream of the great darkness
The ends of the universe
Dream of the wonderment
Of transcendent realms
Is there anything beyond
This shadowy future
Is there another universe
For the spider?
I queried thus and thus
In my ice-age mind
Whereupon emanated
Vast ramifications
Spinning a web for me-
A universe
Beyond which loomed
Irrational extraneous universes
Was that a miracle
Was that nature
Were those her snares
Perpetually gnawing my reality
Could those questions be answered
With a nod- however studied?
Come individuality
Remove these tenterhooks
Let me leap into a new rhythm
Let me split the capsule
And witness how long
The trip of human triumph.
(Apartheid era stuff)
Tell me why is it opinions
Differ Throughout all mankind?
Why is a general consensus
Never quite clearly defined?
Why do we need to put borders
To mark nationalities land?
If such a thing is important
Why is immigration not banned?
Why is it our politicians
Waffle each night on the news
That Britain is most democratic
Whilst simply ignoring our views?
Why does our Great British nation
Known as a sovereign state
Have it’s laws overruled by Strasbourg
Without any public debate?
Why is it that all our judges
Have opinions that to us seem lax?
Giving less of a sentence to villains
Than for failing to pay the poll tax
Why should we really consider
The ethnic minority view?
In the land they originally come from
I doubt they’d take notice of you
Why do we put up with do-gooders
Preaching to us of PC?
English is our national language
And England is supposed to be free
Why should we bother with travellers
Camping wherever they like?
If they camped in Buckingham Palace
They’d soon be told "Get on your bike"
What is all this human rights nonsense?
It’s a load of old self righteous crap
Law breakers locked in the slammer
And naughty kids given a slap
What’s so good about toleration?
Why are we so prissy and trite?
We should ignore other’s lands indignation
And "Pull the ladder up Jack I’m all right".
imagine there is a war and nobody goes
turns swords into ploughshares instead
builds homeless shelters instead of bunkers
shares toil freedom and land
resists grabbing power
dresses in peace flags and love
the silent majority does not wish
to be slaughtered on battle fields
to satisfy greed and corruption
and they have a say because
they are the masses
we the people need to find our voice
a choir of compassion
and pacifist canon
rhymed metered and tranquil
poetry in untroubled stance and
rhythm of caring intention
I was once a soldier
had sold my soul to the highest bidder
to finance studies and life style
which still leaves a sour taste on my vita
today I am a simple poet
with something to say
quietly walk away from aggression
and hope that my bubble will spread
imagine there is a heaven
and we can stop burning bridges
as well as bear the cross on our shoulders

THE AMERICAN DILEMMA
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS
There was a time when the town crier spread the news
Terse, straight, unfiltered, unbiased with no personal views
Alas, those times have disappeared into days of yore
We now have more news thrown at us than ever before
From sources sworn to be reliable, accurate and true
Usually from an illiterate maybe living next door to you
News now is reported in order to solidify a position
Repeated over and over to reduce valid opposition
These fools are not limited only to those in the streets
It’s for anyone and everyone that regurgitates tweets
It’s one moron to another stating his unproven facts
Certifying his allegations in spite of the proof he lacks
Most have many opinions stating incontrovertible truths
Gleaned from incompetent nobodies acting as sleuths
Honesty has vanished, repeated dribble is now the norm
Pick out a topic support it, rally, protest: create a storm
Those that oppose the demands are forced into submission
They will be named racists, bigots, etc: and did I mention?
They will be barred from expressing any opposing vision
They will be subject to physical and mental attrition
They will be silenced in fear of violence and intimidation
With no opposition the fools are more demanding n brazen
Masked attackers will roam streets seeking any opponent
Their continued demands increasing moment by moment
Opposition is muted, only few dare to parry their claims
Silent majority, silent, few dare challenge their aims
The silent majority complains in utter frustration
While sitting in the front row to the death of a nation
In another time there will be hope for the human race.
As it now stands, the earth is a mess, to man's disgrace.
It was never intended to become a toxic dumping ground.
You know I'm telling the truth. My words are profound.
I won't keep quiet as long as I have a tongue to speak.
It's a request for the protection of our planet that I seek.
With my pen I'll write novels until numbing takes my hand,
about the desecration of our planet! Take this as a reprimand.
You, who walk around saying, "What do you expect me to do?"
That's the attitude responsible for millions who have no clue.
In another time everyone cared about their own neighborhood,
respected the world and treated it reverently, as we should.
It was never intended that foolish people ruin our world,
but it's become a sinking ship with sails fully unfurled.
As a paradise it was created, long ago, in another time,
but the greed of mankind is tearing it apart. What a crime.
Society is just another word for abusers with bad intentions,
excavating and blowing up in the name of new inventions.
Speak up if you're in the silent majority, before it's too late.
Stop saying "in another time," the time is NOW...today's date!

Into our lives, God manifests in various ways.
He protects us from every stupid deed.
In the era of Esther – the biblical days,
This lovely woman was made Persia’s queen.
Today vice president holds great significance.
And Kamala Harris can emulate Esther’s glory--
A powerful place in the political landscape
And a chance to be the heroine of the story.
With shootings and corruption brewing a funk,
What will be done to save our people from harm?
Will the Lord empower her to wield His influence,
Before the silent majority raises a monstrous storm?
With a closed mouth (—)
they murmur their cheeky disapproval
Issuing mute complaints
through raised palms,
which are open to () sidearm grievances
Pursed lips (—) tout
their speechless litany of demands
Telling marching tongues
of dissent,
go talk to the hand
The silent majority (—) say,
they don’t wanna hear it
Go talk to the hand!
The silent majority (—)
will tell you non-verbally
to shut it!
Stop the noise,
chanting voices seeking equality
Go talk to the hand,
the speechless many (—) tell the vocal few
Hear what the hand
of the () sidearm have to say:
Bang ... bang, just go away!
Quiet complicity
is so deafening loud
Utter apathy
is a high moral compromise price to pay
Silence is the golden path
that will lead democracy the wrong way
The many closed mouths (—)
never did speak
for the few, open-minded voices
of humanity
I turn my back
to the hand with the trigger finger
pointing at me
In Due Time
The Silent Majority will fall prey to the sound of “one hand clapping”.

Now I feel like I'm one of the silent majority
Like I'm that person who's eating humble pie
Though bitterness eating away inside of me
And now I'm starting to crumble, all I do is cry
Expressing one's self in words, it's not as easy
But then trying to talk I do mumble, yes that's I
Getting myself into a right state getting panicky
But then I suppose a bit of a wombale that’s why
Sometimes I don’t choose my words that carefully
Trying to rumble tall yeah there’s no word of a lie
But right now these times just seem so scary
And as like always I stumble though ,I do try!

InTERPRETASIONS OF ONES SELF
Austerity?
Expensive cars chocking the approaches
to Vilamoura, the yacht and seaside town.
No austerity today, a man in an old Fiat
was laughed off the road, probably a waiter
on the way to work. No poverty no beggars
only shampooed dogs with golden collars.
And as always the poor, the silent majority,
stayed in their howls, sun is exclusively for
the perma- tan set in August.
The people’s choice
ain’t always the right footstool fit
Crown a throne sitter
with electric glam fanfare
Light the bright Roman candles
for a cancer stick spitter ...
See the fireworks in the air:
Inter
Continental
Ballistic
Missives
got voter arm drone sent
Cheek chicanery
is puffing pride hellbent
The home plate people say,
they know how to get around third base
The silent majority
whistle kicked a ballot bray:
Said they know how to rule and regulate
Mute mules got a gut promise packet
burst in their purse belly
White powder vows telly
is a politrician mix: Rublecon racket
Dressed to deceive,
they wear the gorgeous mink sable
Eyes often believe
spit paid broadcast signal on cable
Raw mink voltage
is copper wire insular selectable
Red carpet dotage
give Venus fly idol cries
to the froggy princes they chose
If the cold iron velvet glove
fits tight rightly on the bow hand
Send the poison arrow love
into bent hearts prone to knelling
Here I sit reading our local rag.
Our little newspaper full of good stuff and hometown brag.
Anyway a story caught my eye.
A story by Paul Harvey in his quest to find the answer why.
He speaks of different religions in our land.
But the majority is Christianity, and the point he makes, makes you understand.
He said get your phone book out and let it prove my point I try to make.
Christian churches outnumber all other by 200 to 1 for goodness sake.
He said a thirty second prayer before a football game isn’t asking that much.
We’re not praying to change the world, just let our boys be safe and have a
safe trip home and such and such.
Just humor our wish is all we ask.
Surely your god will look the other way while we perform this simple task.
We’re not out to convert no one or asking that you even share.
And the atheist’s can even take a toilet break while we say our prayer.
But speaking as the majority why is it that we have to ask?
No one is asking to come home with you just let us perform this one simple
task.
If I were in Bagdad at a soccer game, I’m sure they would say a Muslim prayer.
Which I would understand and that would be okay, I don’t think I ‘d care.
Or someone praying to Buddha in China at a ping pong match.
It wouldn’t upset me or cause an itch, you know one that you cannot scratch..
Paul goes on to say we have been silent for much too long.
We live in a country where majority rules so let that be the name of this song.
In closing he says God bless us all especially those that denounce Him.
God bless our service men and women, God please bless them.
This is the year the silent majority needs to be heard.
And bring our troops home was his final word.
Well I for one agree with Paul.
He puts his job and reputation on the line to stand for one and all.
He’s a man of honor and conviction.
He loves this country and to him with God there should be no restriction.
Thank you Paul Harvey .
And that’s the way it was!!!!!!
