In Another Time
In another time there will be hope for the human race.
As it now stands, the earth is a mess, to man's disgrace.
It was never intended to become a toxic dumping ground.
You know I'm telling the truth. My words are profound.
I won't keep quiet as long as I have a tongue to speak.
It's a request for the protection of our planet that I seek.
With my pen I'll write novels until numbing takes my hand,
about the desecration of our planet! Take this as a reprimand.
You, who walk around saying, "What do you expect me to do?"
That's the attitude responsible for millions who have no clue.
In another time everyone cared about their own neighborhood,
respected the world and treated it reverently, as we should.
It was never intended that foolish people ruin our world,
but it's become a sinking ship with sails fully unfurled.
As a paradise it was created, long ago, in another time,
but the greed of mankind is tearing it apart. What a crime.
Society is just another word for abusers with bad intentions,
excavating and blowing up in the name of new inventions.
Speak up if you're in the silent majority, before it's too late.
Stop saying "in another time," the time is NOW...today's date!
