Took an interesting stand
Against the norm
She took the world by storm
they sold a six pack in the grocery store
politicos all panicked
the rest of the world shrugged
Vibrations feral spread across the land
Meek upon earth, then approached the elder
“We are helpless; please help man understand!”
“For he has engaged in widespread plunder
Consumed by desire and ruled by instinct
Killing, maiming and mining down under”
Mother Earth listened, viewing her precinct
Thought awhile, then from God took permission
Spewing a virus, with message succinct:
“Enjoy my gifts, in joyful elation
Live in peace or face annihilation“

In the story of friendship’s fall,
The averted eyes said it all.
It was not really what we said
Neither was it what we did;
Rather ‘twas the ways we said
And, of course, when, and how we did.
We shrugged our shoulders; let things fall
Forgiveness could have cured it all.

accustomed
to the habit
of shrugging
off arguments
brought about
by emotional
outbursts
since everything
would always
seem to blow over
in time eventually
till one day it
did not blow over
instead it was over
we were over this
time for real
WHO SHRUGGED?
The world is getting heavy from war and disease
ounce by ounce I can feel the weight increase
with all the death and destruction
when those in mighty places pray for perfection
this world is being fed too much every day
and daily I wonder how much it will weigh
bombs and heartlessness are what the world is being fed
while people overlook men with genius and peace in their head
there's really not much more to say
I just described what I worry about everyday
I fret this planet is gaining too much weight
and the earth is at a dangerous level to this date
the whole world is being foreclosed upon
and pretty soon this orb with be gone
all because of blood, war and disease
and that's why Atlas is bending at the knees
