A sweet flower's funeral
displayed in the cold months
of snowy weather and bone chilling shivers.
A sweet flower burned away, dried up;
buried six feet under.
Oh, my sweet flower,
how you once bloomed with no remorse,
like a madman blooming with beauty
and a glorious halo over your head
shinned with such power and blinding glory.
Oh my sweet flower how you have gone now,
resting in peace in the land of paradise.
Oh, my heart it is weak when I see your face,
of once beautiful smiles and warm embraces.
I can hear your crying out to be free.
Snowing and bone chilling cold ripes at my soul
and feelings of sorrow rage through my blood,
boiling my hatred to the world, for losing your
sweet and ever glorious beauty.
What I would give away, if I could be with you
one last night, one last night together
to hold you in my arms, to smell your sweet perfume
that brings back sweet memories of you and I.
What I would do to be with you,
such romance travels through my heart in the highways
of my veins in my body, love is all throughout me,
and my heart breaks when pictures of you start to collect dust.
My love for you, my sweet flower,
is still ingering through the air,
as I travel and look upon a tombstone
which shows your beautiful name.
Come to me my dear flower,
when spring comes,
come to me my dear, sweet flower.
And bloom once again,
twice as large as last year,
and ten times more beautiful then last year.
Come to me in the first months of spring
in my dreams, so I could sit and talk with you.
I miss you already,
and my heart crys,
my eyes flood with tears of sorrow.
I miss our love we shared.
Long walks,
cosy talks,
warm cuddling embraces
and beautiful displayed in a picture frame.
Now I hear the tapping of raindrops on my window pane.
That is all that keeps me company,
that and the rose you gave to me
and a picture of you and me.
Love is endless, even when blue eyed Death comes to visit
and play a game of chess with us,
we all play our game, my love.
I shall go tonight
in my sleepy slumber
and dream of you in the times of our height in our love for each other.
My lost love, you are gone, resting in paradise,
but never forgotten my sweet flower.

When Peg laughs like Liz
deep woman-hearted laugh
eating beef jerky on Mesa Verde
the good hearts and smarts of women
come back to me, not guessing
any better than they at the time what love
meant, leaving them behind in sandstone time
going to my own cement, sandstone
or good mountain grave
having seen the sharp-shinned and sparrow
hawk flying and at rest, not at peace,
seeking prey from a ponderosa snag.
I left my woman behind to float
alone down the long canyon for feathers
and signs, she's making camp
the moon half full, the sun half high
sky full of planets birds and stars
I look up from the rocks
elements
housekeeping, thinking
love that's learned to love
from earlier loves
laughs remembered, heard
in the laugh of the woman who is my wife.

Float above you
My cat
Though small
Is a
Mighty hunter.
Often trophies
She left
On my door
From her nightly stalking.
A robin that
Will never fly
Trilling couplets
In cloud stained skies.
A mouse that will
Never scurry
In the wood-grain walls.
Chanting lays
About the stacking of
Heroic cheese.
On a dark night
When i heard
My cat’s claws
Scratching entry upon
The rude squared door.
“Let me in…”
The claws implored
“To the stone
Hewn hearth
Where the wisp
Of a flame does crackle.
Where a bowl
Of warm milk
Waits for me
To pay for my cat chores…”
“Enough my cat”
i am simple
Imagine my surprise
As i open my door.
To find the moon
Shriveled on my
Porches threshold.
The moon
With two
Auspicious bite marks
on it corners.
The moon
Belongs to everyone
Luckily i had
Some bandages
And dandelion oil
To clean and wrap
The poor moon wounds.
The moon sang to me
In this blessed fortnight
Of times in deep history
Before the bards.
When she shinned
Above the lands of man.
Like ghostly jewel among the stars.
Before the woods
Had written elegies
in leaf of their limbs.
Before fire deluge
Burned cracks in the walls
Leaving kiln marks
Upon the mountain castles
In the kingdoms of forgotten kings
And unknown peoples.
i nursed the moon
With tea of thousand wild flowers
And the dew that dripped
Upon the crimson skin
Of gleaming strawberries.
How the petals floated
On surface of my teacup.

I met an angel today,
in the bright sunshine
as houses burnt down
and the fire department showed up to
ash and dust, rubble of the past.
She was beautiful,
with starlight Hazel eyes and
a cute smile.
Her teeth shinned bright like pearls,
her skin soft like velvet and
a beautiful figure.
The sun shined behind her
and as she smiled my heart stopped
and I fell to my knees.
She walked up to me
and she let out a hand.
I reached and she pulled me to my feet.
I pulled her close,
went in for a sweet kiss on the lips
and indeed she did not resist.
I kissed an angel with hazel eyes
and a cute smile,
I opened my eyes and found
I was looking at a ceiling
and a fan blew cool air on me
and felt around.
I was in my bed,
white sheets tangled around my feet,
a cool sweat rolled down my forehead
and I clenched at my bed sheets
and cursed the sun for ever rising
and awaking me from that beautiful encounter
of that angel with those hazel eyes
and cute smile.

‘Little Snow’ her story. ( my son's family 'home helper)
Ma wars, with earth to conjure a meal, Made in a kitchen which all pests have vacated.
Weariness blinkered, Pa contends, In a haze for contentment, in tobacco & drink.
A vision become probable, neon signs wink to her, Negative gains still seem to offer fulfilment of dreams.
Desolate in the dark room, prospects evaporate. Scenes of homely environments bridge bitter memories.
Jesus answers, She phones, They touch, Tobacco fades, Hopes rise, Christ lives.
Beijing Hutongs.
(Old alleys & narrow streets.)
Grey dust over all the piles of food waste, Snow Bikes & barrows. No flies no smell!
Wind chills’ no deterrent to sellers or window gazers. The tourist shivers alienated by culture.
Shoes happily shinned, smiles warm. The barterers laugh. Do half-hidden homes reflect the same?

This is a song by Rascal Flatts that I have requested to
be played at my funeral in the very near future.
It must have been in a place so dark, you couldn't see the light,
reaching for you through that stormy cloud. Now here we are gathered
in our little home town, this can't be the way you meant to draw a crowd.
(chorus) Oh why, that's what I keep asking, was there anything I could have
said or done.Oh I had no clue you were masking,a troubled soul,
GOD only knows, what went wrong, and why you would leave the
stage in the middle of a song.
Now in my mind I keep you frozen as a seventeen year old, rounding third
to score the winning run.You always played with passion no matter what
the game, when you took the stage you shinned just like the sun.
(CHORUS)
Now the oak trees are swaying in the early autumn breeze,a bolt of sun is
shinning on my face. The tangled thoughts I hear,a mockingbird sings, this
world really ain't that bad a place.
Oh why, there's no comprehending, but who am I to try to judge
or explain.Oh but I do have one burning question?Who told you
life,wasn't worth the fight,they were wrong,they lied,now your
gone, and we cried, cause it's not like you to walk away in the
middle of a song.Your beautiful song.

Lyric
I walked alone
along a sandy and lonely beach.
The raging waves from the sea
crashed onto the slimy sea shore.
The riding waves were white and bare,
but when they violently crashed, turned white and black.
I walked along the lonely beach.
Listening to the seagulls chatting
on silver rocks and boulders.
I sat near the shore.
The waves coing in and out
crashing violently on the silver rocks and boulders.
I sat there, lonely skipping pebbles into the vase and endless sea.
The waves came in and swallowed the pebbles, I threw its way.
The sea crabs wabbling from side to side, came up from the shore.
They kept me company on a lone and quiet evening.
A lone dog walking without an owner
came and curled up next to me,
and barked at the chattering seagulls.
They flew in panic toward the setting of the Red Sun,
and disappeared into the evening paradise.
The lone dog gazed upon the red sheld sea crabs,
and chased their wabbling bodies away
back down to the slimy sea shore.
And at the setting of the evening, I was alone.
Soon I had seen something
that had shocked me,
A young and beautiful gypsy woman.
She crossed my path along the lonesome beach.
All of a sudden the beach became full with love and life of all kind.
The lilacs, and roses, and violets and daisies
grew tall and bloomed, like madmen.
The waves pulled in by the full moon,
that shinned upon me and the Gypsy Woman.
She was decorated with ragged skirts and blouses,
with shinny, white pearls around her neck,
and golden bracelets around her wrists.
She smiled at me.
I smiled back at her.
Her hair black, with a vail of flowers around her head.
She stopped me and held my hand.
I was astonished and afraid.
What was this stunning and beautiful woman doing to me?
A victim of lost love and heartbrake.
I had no money, no jewlery.
I asked her what she wanted.
She replied with loneliness in her voice;
"To be loved."
I pulled her in, and kissed her,
and whispered softly in her ear,
decorated with silver earrings;
"Me too."
We joined hands and walked the lonesome sandy beach.
Listening to the waves, now softly coming in and pulling out.
The shore, now not so slimy,
and the silver rocks and boulders sleeping so peacefully.
I turned to her and she smiled at me.
I held her in my arms and kissed her upon her sweet brow.

She’ll always be our family’s valedictorian of sight…
For
She was the no nonsense type of woman who gave all of her love and insight to the world…
That was her gift, her sight and God’s sun that shinned through her… known as the light.
Hattie is our family’s pillar of strength;
Our educator of many lessons learned…
The type…
Who’d go the extra mile, the width, the distance and length; in insuring our family’s security, history, legacy; as well as other lesson’s passed down through the years …and now she leaves us with a scale from one… right down to her last lesson of the tenth.
And As
We come together as a family in the memories of Hattie…
We’ve all come to the conclusions of being blessed in having our own personal relationships with her that was meant to be; and with that in mind…
Her eyes of beauty will always shine through and within us; for all to remember and see.
And now that
She’s looking down upon us proudly… she’s happy to have engraved her individual and personal memories down within your hearts, minds and souls.
For
This is the biggest lesson that she leaves behind; her own personal legacies of personal stories with you to cherish; her own personal touch for which she alone and personally chose.
And now,
The heavens have opened up for Hattie and now she’s received her wings; with the angels rejoicing and singing.
Can’t you all see?
For this is what she envisioned her legacy, vision and happiness of memories with you to be;
A wonderful spirit of the wise
With the glimpse of looking through her eyes, so you can see
Her touch of class that will never die…
And lastly, “THE BEAUTIFUL EYES OF HATTIE”.

Few hearts to mortals given
who seek and breathe design
who will not settle for less than what
gives full surrender to heart and mind
My mind was ever moving
in regions dark to thee
with depth that groaned to be inspired
through a force outside of me
You were day with evening blending
a mystery laden neath a wall
who begged my spirit forth to bending
that first not yours would fall
I ran upon your walls
with the hoof and seal of Rome
Then sank my heart from a summer sky
Thy defenses too strong and high
Though I knew you and I were one of a kind
fit by design, body soul and mind
You would not let me be your light
as when sun calls moon to sky
I too feared to beg of heaven
for more than lonely loved
Then lost my soul a bread unleavened
trading fire for fantasy indulged
The cautious ones would shake their heads
and say perfection cannot be
This Dream I have is but a dream
unknown to life's reality
But thou perhaps, dost also dream
I know you think the same as I
That those will never know the best
who have no faith nor dared to try
Infinity was not nearly enough
Infinity inverted to me was love
Timeless for all direction
companion beyond all typical affection
And I from mortal cloth had cut
to know what lies beneath your walls
shown to me and for the what
the sin for which all angels fall
To guard thyself
Though in darkness be
Vulnerability shall mean salvation for thee
Today sweet light has shinned for me
Though Rome was not built in a day
Still, it's glorious beauty waved
Servian gates fell open both ways
and all its defenses fell by the way
Just breathe!
Be filled with this morsel of belief...
There just may be life after death
an inspiration beyond myself
Gods of the tears be stilled and sleep
for this portion granted me
So long lay prostrate face to ground
now stand on feeble knees
For you have bestowed thy greatest gift
your immortal power to believe

Bright and so bright as a star
Dangling in the brilliant sky
I stood staring in the sky
Stood feeling like a hero
Stood feeling like a crowned star
Stood shinning like a dynamite diamond
Stood feeling more than a hero
With a voice deep inside that cautioned;
Me me me I guess
Cryptic and crisp as the morning fresh air
Flared and fresh as blossomed white flowers
Looking sweeter than red ripe apples
I stood at the cross roads which
Overwhelmed with flying drunken engines
Feeling like a new sculptured gold gift
I stood serene as serenity
Stood waiting for my turn to turn on the road
Felt more like a princess ready to be crowned
Shinning brightly I shinned like a dynamite diamond
A deep cry in my throat said; me me me I guess.

Lyric
I walked too many miles
and ran so few feet
that my heart skips beats
when the women pass me by
Here I am,
alone in a world of loners
and beast and man alike
sleeping on park benches
smoking cigarette buds
and breathing in,
filling my lungs with
Carbon Dioxide... not so much oxygen
At last no hope!
I hear dear coming for me,
with those crystal blue eyes of his
and he grins his boney smile
and I shiver and accept my faith;
till those baby blues come flashing
like neon blue lighting crashing in the dark skies.
As the last minutes rolled down
for me to go up to the gallows pole
I saw the most beautiful pair of diamonds
that sparkled and shinned and made me smile.
My heart truly skipped a beat,
when she came walking that narrow corner
with a dress of silk and hair golden locks,
"Goldie locks" my childish mind flashed too!
She came up to me
and I took her from the darkness
and the creatures that prayed on her
from the dirty rooftops of abandon cities
and I kissed her,
she revived me
and a new life flashed before me.
Those crystal blue eyes of hers'
saved my life,
gave me hope,
and showed me love,
for the first time in my life
I was in love with such beauty
in this world of dark magic and hate.
Love flowed through my veins
and chilled me,
like chewing peppermint gum
and I held her in my arms and we took a trip
and cruised the open seas alone
in the sailboat of love.
There we were,
those crystal blue eyes,
gazing upon
the one, the only,
The Blue Poet.

I escaped the dreadful gleams of radiant light
which pierced my sight with it's blazing rays
I couldn't see anything before me, it surrounded me
I saw nothing at all
So I closed my eyes to the blasting light
Which shinned down until it hurt,my thoughts
My breath, it burned I was melting away
Never to be seen again except as a
Pile of ashes and dust
But before it had touched me completley within
I found a way out of the fire
That reached every piece of me
I've ever known, until there was almost nothing left
In a moment I stepped through to the other side
Of the flames
Now I was on the outside looking in
And never was I going inside again
The fires that burn, Won't burn me no more

Verse
Our Love
My heart starts aching late at night,
When I start dreaming of you.
Remembering all the memories of light,
All the good times and the bad with the feelings due.
I'm crying every night,
Because of all we lost.
I remember when our love shinned bright,
Now the light smoldered by the cost.
My love for you,
Is true.
I'm sorry that or love has died,
Black as the darkness of a winter night.
I can't imagine that you cried,
Not even in the wettest winter night.
Now I came strolling by,
Looked through the window and saw him.
I tried my best not to cry,
As the light in my heart grew dim.
I tore up the flowers I bought.
I thought about busting down the door,
But there's nothing to say
That I haven't said before.
Now I just continue strolling,
Around the corner and down the street.
And I still don't know
Why things happened like they did,
But I just walked on home,
And dreamt of what I dare not did.
Now I just lay there,
Like my heart has fallen out.
I miss you dear,
But now my light has burnt out.
My love for you,
Was true.

Behind these blue eyes is a story, a memoir, a biography. A story that tells so much. So
much has happened behind these blue eyes. So many tears have fallen from them, so
many smiles have shinned though them. So much sadness, and so much joy. But all the
sadness left and all the joy flooded in. All they do is smile, smile at you. These blue eyes
see the true you. They see what makes you smile, what makes you frown. They see
you strengths and your goals. These blue eyes see so many things, but the most
important thing they see is you.
