A Shining Star

"a shining star"
a shining star you shall always be
a jewel in the cosmos that I see
like the snow that glistens white
like the moon that shines bright
you bring out the best in me
when you stand before the ocean blue
feel a gentle embrace intended just for you
when you see a pearl or shell in the sand
know it is me taking you by the hand
know your heart and soul will renew
a grand piano or a single guitar
a source of strength from afar
with words that I have none to give
with hope and love may light live
a shining star is what you are

Twas a full moon shining on a cool summer night
And hound dogs were howling at its silver shadowed light.
I heard but a whisper on the cool evening breeze,
Twas the voice of a woman I used to chase and tease.

Our love was forever, at least I used to think it so.
Then came the day she left me; I wondered, where’d she go?
If true love lasts forever, was this love not for me?
I heard an answer on the wind - Son, your true love is she.

A true love will always linger in the shadows of your heart
Even when the one you love has chosen to depart.
True love is the love you gave, no matter what the cost
It will return to you again, for it is never lost.

Like a full moon shining on a cool summer night
With placid waters glistening in its silver shadowed light
Love comes like a whisper on a cool evening breeze
A gentle touch, a soft caress, a rustle in the trees.

There is no bitterness in the past, if your love was true
The sweetness in the memory is true love’s gift to you
A rising sun or new full moon is not a memory
And so will love come once again, if you let it be.

Twas a full moon shining on a cool summer night
And hound dogs were howling at its silver shadowed light
I heard but a whisper on the cool evening breeze,
Twas the voice of love’s song...answering my pleas.

We Walked The Night Sands, Moon Shining Down

Walking the white sands by the windy sea
Lost in my deep thoughts of love, you and me
Nights in private, locked in long held embrace
In hearts glow, our most cherished hidden place

I walked flowing hills, where we once danced
Waded flowering meadows, where we romanced
Sun and blue sky both reminded me of you
If only, once again blessed, we could do

We journeyed into Nature and love's bliss
O' how that time, I now so sorely miss
We lost our way, coming storm tore us apart
I could not forgive, when you broke my heart

We walked the night sands, moon shining down
I still see you, in your white flowing gown

An icicle smashed on the ground
Pieces scattered everywhere
I stopped in cold air, just to stare
At the pattern that I had found

A picture of my broken heart,
From years ago came back to me
Falling, just so that I could see
The pieces still shined while apart

Shining

SHINE"ING"

        Shining with my lively smile,
keeps you in denial with my G-Q style.
  You say it's murder, I say it's a mistrial.
You misapperehend me to not understand me!
I can sell ice to a eskimo,
fire to the devil that lives down below.
I'm the tower with the infernal powers,
            shining with infinite brightness,
              causeing definitely blindness!
                  I wanna be rich *****!
Thats why I keep the gun at my hips!
                      My lips soft as silk,
                   body as smooth as milk.
Your addicted to the way I spit,
I'm a convict held in comtempt.
                Your baffled by my ego,
                but it just the principal!
                       I'm shine"ing"
I'm a dependant of the money I make,
and addicted to the abuse I take,
prosecuted for the way I think!
I'm the air that fills your lungs,
I'm that pill you take when you have a headache.
Solid as my body that naturally retains the same shape.
The illest part of my personality,
                   is the identity of me!
The diversity of being in the streets,
is truly the best part of me!
                       I'm Shining

SHINING LIKE THE STARS

[Verse 1]
You were our happy dreams, shining like the stars,
The sparkle in our eyes, no matter where we are.
You were our destiny, like the sun in the sky,
But time keeps rolling on, and we wonder why.

[Chorus]
Nothing is set in stone, that’s the way it goes,
Life’s unexpected turns, the highs and the lows.
The Lord gives and takes, with purpose so divine,
He makes no mistakes, even as we walk this line.

[Verse 2]
Oh, how we cherish moments, each laugh and every tear,
In the dance of life, you always brought us cheer.
Though you’ve passed by now, you’re never truly gone,
In the echoes of our hearts, your memory lives on.

[Chorus]
Nothing is set in stone, that’s the way it goes,
Life’s unexpected turns, the highs and the lows.
The Lord gives and takes, with purpose so divine,
He makes no mistakes, even as we walk this line.

[Bridge]
It’s going to take some time, only God knows how long,
For Him to mend our hearts, help us stand strong.
Goodbye is never easy, but love will find a way,
In the quiet whispers, your spirit’s here to stay.

[Verse 3]
We're looking to the future, painting through the pain,
With each brush of your laughter, we can smile again.
Though shadows may linger, light will break through,
In every cherished memory, we will carry you.

[Outro]
So we hold you close, our guiding star above,
With every step forward, we’ll honor your love.
In the tapestry of life, you’re woven deep within,
In every beat of our hearts, that’s where your story begins.

Premium Member Treasure Shining

A silver creeping mist
falling one cloud
capping the mountain

Like a great waterfall
in a faraway distance
I began dreaming gold

Inside the vision silver fingers
pointing out spears slowly
crumbling forward

Embracing one pure gift
relic treasure memory of love
Warm sweet glowing jewel in deep beauty
Happiness inside shining diamond
joy beaming your sunshine baby a star
lighting one gem brightly dazzles a pearl

I drew with a 6/stepping up waves to 9 syllable count then we reach cloud 9/9/9 10 is the perfect ending 10 out of 10 a mad way I am trying to draw a jewel

Premium Member The Sun Is Out Shining

I dare to hope and dream,
Of flowers that never fade
Of splendid and exotic creatures
All living in perfect harmony.
I dream of tranquil earthly paradise,
A keen euphoric garden of Eden,
Created by my one and true Lord.
Alas that man sinned and now
The garden of Eden is closed.

So let us together embark upon a journey,
In earnest search and ardent expectation
Of peace and love and blissful pleasure.
Let us travel down a mighty river
In a small pirogue, winding its way
Along the fern lined banks
Admiring the Cyprus and the tall pine trees.

The river turns into a valley,
Where mighty willows weep and dip
Their lower branches in the fresh icy stream.
All around, we smell the scent of flowers,
Butterflies with gossamer wings
Flit untiringly from bloom to bloom
While insects seem to have composed
A lively concert of their own.

We hear the music of the song birds,
Especially the multicolored martin pescador,
Finches practicing their fine tunes
to serenade the attractive female mate.
We spy warblers, sparrows, and orioles
Dancing from branch to branch
Or birds of prey soaring over the ancient firs
Trying to catch some unsuspecting fish
That swims beneath the calm surface
Of a smooth and tranquil lake.

Such magic moments mesmerize our senses,
As we witness the birth of day.
We find ecstasy in Our Lord's creations.
His wondrous hand enhances nature,
Fascinates our spirit with uninhibited joy
Expanding the joyous hope for all humanity.

Knight In Shining Armour

Sweep away the past, and all
The times that brought you sorrow
Your future lies in us until
Tomorrow and tomorrow

Lock your nightmares up beyond
Some vast and solid door
I’m your knight in shining armour
And will be for evermore

Shut out your lifelong worries
All your troubles and your fears
Lay down with me my lady
I will kiss away your tears

Premium Member Your Starlight Shining

I see your starlight shining.
With each smile, you light up more.
The night skies can’t resist you,
for your face they so adore.

I see your starlight shining.
Your eyes, like stars above,
are gracing me with sparkles
of your abounding love.

I see your starlight shining,
and others see it too.
Shine, my jewel, forever,
like stars in heaven do!

love the finest silk beams ivory on this earth's breath

Dewdrops weep for the night as starlight crystals drop down
amazing grace under a silver chalice drinking

From the moonshine is where the song sings loudest glory
drunken echoes return over the mountains smiling
tonight the moon finds peace casting shadows in her wake

As Dawn Woke, Uttering Its First Shining Rays

As dawn woke, uttering first shining of its rays
Night's darkest veil vanished into whispering winds
Rooster's clear crow, signaling a wonderful day
Full of life, with golden treasures love's truth portends
Bliss a'flowing as our love endures, as we pray.

From soft flowering fields, precious dream comes to me
As cool winds blow, I see deep longing in your eyes
Looking at our names, carved in that Sycamore tree
Our promises made under brightest moonlit skies
Ringing forth again, love vows from romantic seas!

My Love, Time can never your soft-kisses erase
Nor those nights we begged passion would never flee
I long to see you walking in beauty and grace
Beneath the massive arch of those tall black-oak trees
Nothing in this empty world, can your love replace!

As dawn woke, uttering first shining of its ray
Night's darkest veil vanished into whispering winds
Rooster's clear crow, signaling a wonderful day
Full of life, with golden treasures love's truth portends
Bliss a'flowing as our love endures, as we pray.

Premium Member When a Poet Dies

When a poet dies, there is a silent night
One where the only light is moon and stars
Glistening through the hearts who are reminded
There is a peace that comes to life…………
As tears fall like liquid smiles, breathing grief
Into the night where the heavens seem to sigh
Breathing in rhymes who quiet the qualms,
Reassuring hearts that even though this soul has
Moved on, into the heavenly realm, where faith
Shows the spirit the reason for existing,…

There is, still, feeling that is so very real

When a poet dies, there is a word to be heard…
Feelings come to life, dancing despite the strife
Reminding that when he was alive, there was a joy
Inside those who knew his light – those who felt
His smile coloring their thoughts, their lives….
With the spirit that he gave to each heart, the spirit
So kind, so wise, so bright – the spirit of appreciation
And charm, perception and promise, the spirit…
Caught up with the One who brings every life its hope,
Every doubt its faith, every tear its comforting embrace.

When a poet dies, there is darkness that falls on the skies
Yet, on the inside, when a poet dies… there is a reminder
That this life gave each night – each dark – a light so alive
That only the wonder of his life could have inspired such
Amazing vibrancy – this poet, his life – shined a light…
So bright that not even the stars in the sky could contend
For the spot in the heavens where his light glows without end!

The Shining Gatsby

Are you concerned about me?
Yes I'm talking to you Daisy.
What should be done with him?
Our situation with Tom is very dim.

I don't think thats true.
You only loved me.
Now stop with this vile spew!
Come get in my golden car and let us flee.

I think you have some very definite ideas about what should be done with Tom!
And yes, next time I will remain calm.
Oh look out!
You hit her- quickly take that route!

So you think Myrtle's health might be at stake?
Well you shouldn't have run her over for God's sake!
Now you say you are shaking from this incident with the car.
Of course you are!

So now you say you want to be left alone...
Have you ever had a single moment's thought about my responsibilities?
Daisy I have pledged myself to your own!
I promised to fight off every man, to overcome all hostilities!

Daisy has it ever occurred to you that I have agreed to look after you?
That I have signed a letter of agreement, a contract!
For your sake my whole life is driven, myself made anew.
But I will wait for tomorrow- then, our union shall be made exact.
