The frozen sap of mirthless trees,
The fractured flow of icy streams.

The howling wind that claws at life,
The forest shrouded in endless white.

Skeletal ice hangs from warm lit homes,
....brittle fingers, glacial bones!

Gibbous moon with light unclean,
Casting shadows barely seen.

Wide tongues of sleet lick hands...

Spring

Cool breeze gently blows
Brilliant butterflies dancing
Rainbows in motion

Summer

Glorious gold beach
Sandcastles reach for the sky
Children having fun

Autumn

Crisp leaves fall slowly
Green glens veiled in falls blanket
Sunset beneath trees

Winter

Cold icy morning
Dancing whirling wonderland
Snowflakes from heaven

You told me we’d always be friends
Out of the blue our friendship ends
I was your ‘forever friend’ - you told me so
Now you simply don’t want to know

Thought you the one on who I could rely
A comforting shoulder when I wanted to cry
A shining...

She:
Just hold me here close to your heart
Let me stay tranquil a while
This world has wrested my joy away
And has robbed me again of my smile

He:
I will hold you forever, part of my soul
To linger with me until time’s end...

My friend farmer Shane has perfected new breeds
His corn and soybeans he's planted from seeds,
An early morning riser,
Using no fertilizer,
He spends most of his spare time pulling weeds.

Shane
A young man died and his family cried, they could not understand,
Why he was taken away from them on that day when life seemed ever so grand.

It just goes to show that you’ll never know, what will happen, when, where or how,
But what if you...

Solomon Shane
Solomon
A name that would sound of the Hebrew
Yet where I walk my skin color pronounces different
Solomon
A sound that reminds you of the wiseman and his mines
Or of his many wives
A gas chamber I never went too
A biblical verse I never entered
Solomon
A history...

Farmer Shane went shopping today,
Bought some manure along the way
Dropped a bag on the road,
Truck too small for the load
Now he is spreading more than hay.

Lily, Shane and Buddy
Bringing sunshine to my door
In just a couple hours
Might just be a little more

Driving in Shane's brand new truck
Been on the road about a week
They're coming here to visit me
To look around and have a...

Shane
Desperate to reach success
Desperate to live,
Cold and kind
Desperate to give.

Gentle and Rough
Two worlds apart,
Strong, fearless
A man with heart.

In touch with himself
A brother, a son,
Music in his veins
A lonely one.

Eyes of blue
That tell the truth,
Misunderstood
His words are few.

Desperate to play
Desperate to love,
For just to sing
Is...

Shane
Shane walks in, hurries to the back of the bar. He finds the door opened to an alley littered with the garbage of the restaurant beside it, the one whose neon sign has two lights blown out.

“Sally, we should leave through this door if the...

Bowled Shane
The ball of the century that took Gatting’s wicket
The best leg spinner of the game called cricket
A larrikin son of the Great South Land
He had an arsenal of balls at his command

The sun shone brightly when he appeared
There was only one Warney oh how we...

Shane & Keith
There are two loving angels
which make me happy everyday
For these sweet angels
everyday I do pray
For how they make me feel
is very hard to explain
They make me fell cared for, loved,
and for the most feel sane
When they entered my life
I would have never of guessed
That because...

Shane
Losing you left a
hole in my heart

like a void that
will never fill

you were taken
from me so
sudden never
giving me a Chance to say
good bye

As time goes on
my sorrow lessens
but never leaves me

I'm ever morning what
could have been...
