Best See You Around Poems

Premium Member How Do You Say Goodbye

How do you say goodbye to someone you've loved
With whom you have shared your life
Is a goodbye enough or "I'll see you around"
After walking together through strife?

How do you say goodbye to a person who held
Such a great big space in your heart
Do you offer a hug, or a goodbye kiss
Or a wave of the arm as you part?

Who knew when you met and proceeded to walk
Down that road filled with places and things
That you'd find such a friend with the same cares as you
A relation unending it seemed

How do you say goodbye to that loved one or friend
Do you pretend that all is okay
Would you hold back the words and let silence prevail
Even though you have things left to say?

Did you have the chance to say your goodbye
To someone you thought was so true
Were you sad when you realized that you had to part
Or did it not bother you?

Was the goodbye you had a sudden thing
That came at you out of the blue?
Or was it a slow one - built up over time
Not hurting as much, cause you knew

What is it you do if they're taken from you
You're unable to say your goodbye
You can hope in your heart that they knew how you felt
But now - only tears left to cry

Did you watch as the love started slipping away
Wondering how could this possibly be
After all the good times - all the trials we went through
Was I really unable to see?

One thing is for sure, new days come - old days go
And love will be lost and found
It's important to know that you gave it your best
No matter what life brings around

Now it's time to let go and move on with your life
After all - tomorrows do come
How you face it today is the healing for you
Goodbye is the right thing for some

I'M Breaking Up With You, Pd

I’m Breaking Up With You, P.D.

I’m breaking up with you, P.D.
This is the very last poem you’ll ever get from me!
So understand me, Poetry Diva, we’re seriously through!
My husband will certainly leave me if I don’t leave you.
Let me explain it like this, my lovely, lethal girlfriend,
I’m so addicted to PoetrySoup, my marriage will soon end.
I know for sure that you don’t care and you won’t cry,
‘Cause on to a better poetry lover you’ll quickly fly.
Well, Deadly Destroyer, I'll see you around - - -someday maybe -
But right now I’m breaking up with you, P.D., so this is “Hasta la Vista, Baby!”

Moving On

I thought there was something in your eyes when you looked my way
Ever since then my world has been gray
We had a lot in common but you’ll never know
I’ve never been one to go with the flow
I thought we had a chance but once again I was wrong
For the sake of everyone I’ve tried to be strong
I still see you around
The sight of you makes me fall to the ground
You judged me before you knew
You don’t know what I’ve been through
I hope your happy now
I’ll move on some way, some how

Who Are You

I see you around all the time,
you act like caring about others is a crime.
you pretend like you are incapable of feeling,
I want to know what hidden truths you are sealing.

You go around screaming at others,
your jealous when others speak obout their mothers.
what's even worse is that you blame men,
but how many have you slept with? how do you hate men?

I try to get to know you,
but I can't even really understand you.
I try to feel compassion,
because when you don't even know it,
i'll see that side that's hurting repeatedly flashing.

Sometimes at night I'll hear you crying,
you'll say that you're o.k,
but I know that you are lying.
sometimes I hear you praying,
you might not really believe it,
but I feel what you are saying.

I know your insecure, no matter how you hide it,
I know your past still hunts you, no matter how you fight it.

Now I have to ask myself why are you the only one I see,
the truth is I know why you won't let me be,
I know why you're around me,
for everytime I look in the mirror
I see that you are me.

Premium Member Have You Seen the Rain

I was inside a hut
Didn't see you around
Looking like a nut
Wondering where you're bound?

We talked about this
What time and place
We didn't change to miss
The spot to see each other's face.

It should be raining today
Weather forecasted the other day
I'm here waiting
While you're somewhere sitting.

I'm calling you
Your phone behind you
Not answering my call
Mumbling over my call.

Then you arrive
One hour later today
I left the hut I drive
Five hours away this way.

Now you're weeping
Standing on hut's wet floors
I already cried and thinking
Forgetting your word above the doors.

Doors I left wide open and set
For you to see how raindrops came in
Inside the hut where we first met
Make you realize rains are my tears that went in.

I am the raindrops
On wet floors you're standing
They are not tears of sadness but joydrops
Of me, behind the hut, watching you and fonding.

You turned around
And saw me with extending arms
For you, I'll always come around
With your faith in me, I'm in your arms...

Forever.

Have you seen the rain?
I can be your rain forever
Rain to keep you wet out of pain
Wet, but not cold, to keep you loved ever.

Premium Member Her Name Was Lucy: the Girl On the Corner

I watch for her after midnight's twelve strokes,
often thinking how life likes to play cruel jokes.
Stilettos clicked on pavers as she walked
a nod on the stairs, but we'd never talked.
Eyes smudged with black liner, like bars on a cell,
She always returns looking like she's been through hell.

I knew her name was Lucy. I heard him yell at her last night.
She trembled past me in the hallway, teary eyes full of fright.
Midnight lady, short skirts, and pouting ruby lips,
street corners for an office as she swings her hips.

I saw her in the morning light when she walked out the door.
Fresh face, pink cheeks scrubbed clean, and nothing more.
In jeans and baggy t-shirt, she looked like an innocent child,
not the kind of woman who got paid to drive men wild.
Lucy - if I tried to rescue you what would you think of that?
Would you have to worry about the guy who wears the fancy hat?
No one can own another, so I'd like to make an offer to you.
I'll buy you a ticket to anywhere if you tell me you're through.

I'm just a stranger, but I know who and what you are...
too young and beautiful to live a life that's so bizarre.
I've never gotten over how guilty it made me feel
for living that life while pretending nothing was real.
I'm offering you the way to get out the mess you're in,
a life of danger, a tangled web of emotional sin.

Dear Lucy,
I'm leaving this note and money under your door
because I don't wanna see you around here anymore.
I wish someone had given me the chance to be free
then maybe I could forgive myself for what I used to be.

You don't know who I am, and it really doesn't matter.
My name once was Lucy, before I was bruised and battered.
Long ago I had a daughter that I was forced to give away.
I'll regret the choice I made until my breath fades away.
                                       Signed: Someone who cares
                                                      Someone who dares

I prayed this Lucy was not the daughter I had born.
In her faded jeans and baggy t-shirt she had worn,
I watched her walk away with all she owned flung over her shoulder.
I knew she'd have a better life than I had by the time she was older.
As a tree, my limbs are broken and brittle. My life not worth a dime.
But if she is my fallen apple, out of the gutter I must help her climb.

I Never Left You, I Just Cant See You

When you grow old
You leave games of kids
And play games of men
Just like when you step high
You can never leave low again
Maybe when you fall
So don't cry
I have many people around me
That's why i cant see you around
But thanks for being around me
Even when i cant recognize you

What Did the Three Legged Dog Say To the Two Legged Cat

What Did The 3 Legged Dog Say To The 2 Legged Cat?

What an amazing thing to see by any eye. Two creatures on there way home, spoke as
if they were from a war zone.

All though both were missing parts, they had tremendous heart. Cat, what do they call
you? My friends call me 2 Blue.

Dog, what do they call you? My friends call me 3 paws. It’s a pleasure to meet you.
Same here 2Blue.

Are you curious? Everybody I meet seems to be. Not really 2 Blue. What rights have I,
to say whose whole? Looks to me like you have plenty of soul.

Thank you 3 Paws; I would imagine you are quite a dog, with lots of heart and plenty of
bark.

So, 2 Blue, what’s up? Seen any action lately? Not since the alley fight in 2002, when my
back was against the wall, and I took a heavy fall.

What about you 3 Paw? What’s your story? Well, it’s a lone one, but I like to keep it
short. I was in the dark in 2007, sniffing like I normally do, when guess who? Right! The
Rockwilder Brothers jumped me.

While running, I slipped on some ice, and they weren’t nice with there bites

I agree, we all learned our lessons in life. Something’s are good, and some aren’t so
nice.

3 Paw, see you around. 2 Blue, I’ll be in town.

I,M a Little Robin

i,m a little robin flying around,
looking for food that may be lying on the ground,
flying high up in the air to see what i can see thats down there, ,
out pops a worm so close to a tree, so fat and juicy and looks yumee,

i fly down with almighty speed,
i have to crash land on my knees,

the worm see,s me coming and decided to move,
laughing and giggling as i missed my queue

down i went, so fast to the ground,
moving so fast without making a sound,
how did it seem me as i missed my pray,
that little worm will live till another day,

so high in the air looking around,
i see the worm laughing as it wriggles about ,
all his friends all came up to see,
now there all laughing at poor old me,
at my poor little skint old knees,

decided to try once again,
as the little worm sat on a chair,
it seen me coming in so fast,
once again it started to laugh,

flew past the worm heading to ground,
screaming and kicking as i flew around,
i never seen what was in front of me,
i never seen that old oak tree,

head first i went down,
smacked the tree with a very loud sound,
with the sore head i began to think,
i will eat fruit, as it does not think,

safely i stand upon that old tree,
i still see the worms all laughing at me,
maybe next year when i come around,
that same old worm is sure to be found,

since i missed it and it is hard to catch,
maybe next time i will wear a safety hat,
till we meet once again i shouted down
to the little worm who shouted back, i will see you around,,,

Meeting a Stranger

it was very nice,
my heart started pounding
as due to the surprise,

they came and said hello
i was so amazed
my eyes lights up
as sure i seen there name,

where have you been hiding
i hope all is well
what are you doing
i hope that you can tell,

i was so happy
that things are going good,
nice to hear some things
going the way they should,

they asked me if i am ok
i did not say a lie,
things are going good
and this to my surprise,

am glad to see your name
as thought things were wrong
you vanished with out a trace
and thought a did some wrong,

i am pleased to here your happy
and nice to see you around
my face is smiley
to know you are around,

my friendship never left you
for all the time you had gone,
am pleased to see you missed me
and our friendship stays as strong,,

Premium Member See You Around

Hold my hand squeeze it tightly
when it's time and I go let go
don't say good-bye just say
see you around if its not here it will be there
there is no cure for the pain that love leaves behind
no grave no urn can hold captive a soul
memories need self-medication to dull the pain
sometimes I giggle like I'm insane
sometimes I cry and I don't know why
through joy and tears seeing what's not there
but one day the years and tears of self-inflicted guilt
like a light bulb slowly dimming, will grow weary and wear out
and I'll see you around for some tea and peace

For My Deep Thinking Friend Who Is Coming To An End of Things

I came to see you at the remodeled hospital
there were bright tiles, statuary Marys, and assorted saints
"full code" was on the door.
We talked about your eventual escape and some summer plans
Now ,I am informed by curt text that there is a DNR with "comfort care,"
and no further attempts at treatment.
Too much oxygen for home or nursing home, a quick move to hospice across the road.

I kind of knew when the nurse's eyes slid over you and
the live plant I brought in the optimism of the early part of the week
was jammed in a light-less corner- I set it back on your tray.

You showed me that the nurses no longer came running when you took off your mask- the machine readout was dimmed and the alarms no longer blared.

You want to be sure that I plant hazelnuts,
and build a bomb or storm shelter, you know someone with a backhoe...

"Jesus lives on the 4th plane, you know", you tossed out to engage me
"...but there are other planes..." a gasp and the mask back on.
Your sister quickly interjects that I need to find "someone" to talk to you about this, someone who is interested.

I will talk to you about Jesus, and argue for his placement in the 6th plane
to see those blue eyes twinkle over the mask.
I will plant hazelnuts, I affirm, and look into the backhoe.

I see you, and I will see you around, my friend.

I Am a Night Owl

I am A Night Owl
By: Noel N. Villarosa
June 4, 2022

Staring long at the laptop
My workplace is quiet
Active and mentally tip top
I am an owl that flies at night

Night sorting and engaging that way
Was a man deep in his thinking
Working with a good employer that will stay
Energy peaks naturally in the evening

With refreshed curious eyes
I cast my shadow on a resting morning lark
I took over his time taking calls on the rise
I make a living, if not in the dark

I am alone in my room
It’s just me and the moon
If I failed to bring you where flowers bloom
At the end of shift work, I’ll talk to you too soon

Everything is going right at night
It only takes a search, analysis, and brilliant call
The right approach will make me see the light
Finding matched criteria, I can relate them all

You are much like me, I guess
We have ups and downs
But would you pity more, or we say less
If there’s nothing to offer, I’ll see you around

I will watch you in the dark while dreams run
For the only place that fits my work
I work from home, closer to my loved ones
To feel the breeze reveals another dawn to spark

Premium Member Shy, Lonely Zombie Seeks Beautiful Necrophiliac

“Hi, my name is Dave, the local zombie,
I don’t see you around here often.
Would you like to go out for a drink,
Or would you like to come back to my coffin.”

Hmm, she ran, she couldn’t leave fast enough,
Maybe it was my brand of after shave.
Or maybe it’s this dark end of the cemetery,
Just maybe I need a new grave.

You see, I find it hard to meet new women,
A chaotic woman, preferably a haemophiliac.
I’ve now joined an internet dating site with,
“Shy, lonely zombie seeks beautiful necrophiliac ".

For My Father

What amount of tears would bring you back ?
I know there is no
But the tears comes any way
In fast drops,
That chases one another down my chicks.
I know,
No amount of tears would bring you back
But I just say too much
Because my dreams depended on you
I can’t stand that you are gone
I am so sad I dint see you around when I was growing up
That you have left my mother a widow
And my children won’t see you
I wish I knew you were going to go
I would play with only you
