Germinal: the Revolt At Le Voreux Mine

Their portraits hanging firmly
from the naked wall, all our goods
pawned for the cause.
To see our vision and strike through
Our lively evenings and peaceful nights
conquered by a full moon and hunger pains.
The speak easy is dead from receiving our
wages in small francs, our children weak and frail
There's barely bread and meat to last the week.
Again, we look throughout our empty home before
a dying fire, at last we look up at the remaining decorations.
A print of the King and Queen steering down at us, he says
"pawn them too", we couldn't get a penny out those useless folks
Yet, they are watching us perish.

Not quite awake yet, need a big jolt
To get me going like a lightning bolt
Some astounding news
The world has reviewed
Instead of wars and killings we'll have a love revolt

Nature’s Revolt

It was a day of woe
As we stared and uttered wails
When we beheld an awesome sight
Of priceless loss
It was a universal eve
When the world was sparkling the sky
With thundering shouts of joy
To greet the arrival of a saint
Who staked it, to be a saviour
But we were rooted out of our moods
With mortals wails taking us to the orients
Where we beheld nature untimely revolts
Against life in the Asian world

Youth Revolt At the Renegade Square

We are eager and much willing
To find progress in forgiving!
Long as we the future living
Reap the fruit of our own digging!

Stop the bloodshed and the killing
Heed the call and hear the feelings
Do not ignore or practice grinning
We are relentless in our bidding

Rugged, aimless not quite sinners
Think of us assumed caregivers
You will serve, worship, deliver
A stern warning for those who quiver

Through the bitter night that's turning
Underlies the rage that won't stop burning
Are the questions of their forming
Huge mistrust and reckless learning

Their wretched thoughts within them roaring
Thickening soup of malice churning
Now light and darkness in them blurring
Starts the signal of societies falling

'Bless the young mind!' said the screams
Touch their skirts and gird their seams
Feel the hems within their jeans
As they bring forth these lofty ideals

Is it wisdom or foolish extremes
They resort to usher in peace
Rip through curtains, burning machines
Find a vaccine, sweep the streets

There seems certainty in the air
Fog of heat and dense dispair
Of the future that lies bare
For all the citizens of this square

Still the rantings would play on
Such as a never ending song
Hope is future, lust is lost
Youth is freedom, wisdom be gone

Women Revolt

Weaker sex we’re known and termed,
We are made idle like lexis
Without structure to construct sentences.

They treat us as infants for we’re fragile;
To rear offspring we’re considered fertile
’Tis then we would be teased as agile.

Stop creating professionalism based on agile from fragile,
We’re gifted as you are and fertile;
Blessed with abundant power and charisma!

Where were you when Moremi Ajaasoro
Persisted and resisted the threats of the Ugbo raiders,
She rebelled when many men trembled?

Where were you when Efunroye Tinubu
The great Amazon of Eko land, mutinied
Against alien plans of the colonial consuls?

Where were you when Iyalode of Ibadan
Overthrew the entirety of old-Ibadan land
Whilst men of complex cablire were used as luxury?

Where were you when Idia of Benin
Led many men to war against the Igala
And returned with victory to Benin?

We’re equally up to the task,
Still we’re agile and fertile as the past,
You’re on our path please pathway!

The Revolt of Romance and the Returned Remedy

We tore out this hell and sank this English ship
We rafted a life till the Americas ran us dry
A sandy engagement, laughter, our world to tip
Our beats, our waves to sounds ugliest cry
In plunged your thunder to our words your stip
To have us quiet, browbeat, safe and nigh
Old masters married our merriment to desolation
Boys gauged, girls versed, and learned a false elation

Revolt

Revolt in a see of blood oh mourner and cast your voice away, the regime will shoot at you
today and corpses will roll. Protest in constant pain oh mourner and toss your body to
the wolves, the regime will fire missiles and the masses will explode. The fires will
spread like cancer and the regime will turn it's heels, fore the masses fight for freedom
and their mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters will be killed. Revolt against the
murderers and let true justice be your shield.

- How dare there exist a being who would drop bombs on innocent protesters and send armed
forces to shoot down mourners at a funeral.

Where is the human spirit hiding in these darkened times? The true spirit of what it
means to be alive.

Mosquito Revolt

No, no, no, no — We will not endure these tortures
Of the ferocious Human beings on us, not any more.
We, Mosquitoes, are the best amongst all creatures
Who remain not idle, accept whatsoever we procure.

The Humans, inhumanly, label us to be the basest
Of creatures and formulate devices to slaughter us.
But we counsel that you at first own evil soul test
And judge your core, inner animals, yourself thus.

You invent coils, sprays, electric tools to demolish
Our race but what regarding you own internal vice.
Try to make something that destroy your Devilish
Nature. You would better try to create that device.

From this night, We, the grand mosquitoes revolt,
We declare, never will we drink the impure blood
Rather would drink the fresh juices from a sprout.
We will not touch blood even if it flows like flood.

Standing up for Minorities

A minority is black, not white.
A minority is she, not he.
A minority is alternative, not straight.
A minority is poor, not rich.
A minority is powerless, not powerful.
A minority is homeless, not housed.
A minority is addicted, not clean.
A minority is immigrant, not resident.
A minority is mother, not father.
A minority is sister, not brother.
A minority is unwanted pregnancy, not birth.
A minority is clean air, not pollution.
A minority is rising tides, not still waters.
A minority is extinction, not existence.
A minority is over-population, not subsistence.

These causes make no sense.
They have neither rhyme nor reason.
Expect not God's defense,
if you blast out curses and commit holy treason.

The unrighteous knew not God,
so they made laws for themselves.
They campaigned for justice,
  and unwittingly chose hell.

"Get right with God," is topic "minority."
  change your focus inward
and the topic of worlds will be dispelled.

The Oddball Relative Holiday Revolt

What about this year,
where will I go
I'm not like them
They're just for show!

I'm losing heart
I used to care,
they never write
or call, or share!

The persons that I love the most
are far too busy to play host
it just goes on ~ year after year,
they're doing well, while I'm just here!

My friend will stop
she always does,
a heart of gold,
a long lost "cuz!"

It makes me sad
why bother then
she has her own
I'm just a friend!

A relative must need a home
somewhere, someone, belongs, unknown,
I wish them welcome, cost not prone
a homeless soul feels lost, alone!

I'll go out in the streets and ask,
God not forsake ~ iconoclast,
still in the Word, my meal's repast
who would come in ~ (they'll think they're last!)

This way must be the better then
to truly share ~ a lonely yen
the homeless season, seems to fend
on times called "Holidays" commend!

Tangled In the Wrench of a Beast

Tangled In The Wrench Of A Beast

Smothered in dismay and
 throb
My shrill pleas apexd, but was yet, unheard
Whilst latched beneath this fierce demon
Whose gaze was as dreadful as his soul

My tide of revolt to be free ended
With the echoes of a ripping sound
Which first ate me up with dread
As he hastily tore my silk nightie apart

A pathway for my agony to stride was paved
As the realism of my feebleness before him
Reconciled with stark reality in my mind
That my PURITY is about to be gobbled by this harpy

Trepidation from the pain of his penetration
Shrouded my heart with fear and anger
With my mouth ajar from shrieks unheard
As he exerted his full leverage on my body

Misery from helplessness stared at me sternly
As he rode me fiercely non-stop
To wane his dire selfish lust
As I with clenched teeth exhaled through my mouth in grief

A fog of hatred clogged my mind
Wishing it was all but a nightmare
As he stood up from me in satisfaction
For his destructive and demeaning craving

An Ocean of tears welled in my eyes
As I stared at him, whilst he beamed in gratification
And my days became nights while my nights became darker
Without a soul to confide in.
