Premium Member RESPECT, KINDNESS AND CHOICE-POTD

Before you read my poem below please know:
This poem is generalised and not aimed at any individual
It is solely my observation and voice!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Why must it be analysed and dissected
To whether  a poet comments or not
We all do what we choose to do
We are a mixed bunch in this poetry pot
Some poets just like to write and read poetry
They are not interested in anything more
That is entirely their right and prerogative
That is what they are here for
Others like the social interaction
Making connections and poet friends
What you give, what you get here
On you it solely depends
Who we are …our wants and needs
Is our own personal choice
There are no set of commenting rules
No do’s or don’ts….no dictating voice
What another poet chooses to do
Is nobody else’s concern
As long every poet is respectful
Respect will be returned
Comment or not, turn comments off, or even block
Just do what ‘YOU’ want to do
Never feel pressured to do anything less
“To thyself you must be true”
There are an abundance of poets here
Who thrive on interaction and chat
They comment, encourage, support ,connect
Poets aplenty rich in socialising are here in fact
No judgement, criticism, negativity ,nor pressure should any poet face
Just a kind, caring and respectful environment on the whole
We are all unique and special individuals
Writing and enjoying poetry…..our united goal!
Premium Member HOW DOES LOVE DIE
If it is not watered with love passion, responsibility,
Humor, sensuality, fun, trust, respect and loyalty,
Petal by petal, and leaf by leaf it is bound to die,
Too late, too late to cry.
Treasure each other, as you would a vintage wine,
Chill out, enjoy a romantic restaurant and dine,
Hold hands and look into each other’s eyes,
In summer, choose a table under star studded skies.
Respect is an absolute dire necessity,
Learn together to face life with its every adversity,
And disagree maybe but talk everything through,
And count your blessings that are far more than few.
Never go to bed angry with each other,
This is your husband or wife, your lifetime lover,
For you will wake up in the same frame of mind,
And perhaps this is not being understanding or kind.
Be proud of your partner you vowed to love forever,
Let no one come between you, make life an adventure,
Say ‘I love you' at least three times in a day,
Have no secrets, life will be happy in every possible way.
Premium Member A Diminished Respect
There was a time.
There was a time
When your fabled dreams
Seemed honest
A time when
Your open arms
Coated in dented silver and tainted dreams
Understood my Size 12 shoes
When the world seemed to be against you
Yet, still,
Your blunt eloquence welcomed me home
Then, your “rainbow”…
…shat
           t
                er
           ed
Your heartbeat became an arrhythmia of petulant theatrics.
Your topaz coated spit
Released from refilled white-out bottles,
Brushing away quartered moons of an iridescent shame
A copycat of robotic muses
Infringing upon your pedestal,
Turned loud mouth, afflicting broken tongue
The “Stalin” of a messenger’s wit,
You raised your voice to a poignant sky!!!
And, as if Yahweh cured your muted disorders,
EVERYBODY HEARD YOU!!!
Including me
That was your goal…
…excluding me
From incipient edge, I witnessed you,
A turpentine puddle in front of a confessional booth
On a melancholic Thursday morn,
With ripened glares to avoid your hallways
Tangled, dangling pacifiers as your doorbell
...
There will come a time.
There will come a time
When social feeds will deprive your vexing smile
Of validation
Where ignorant heartbeats will awaken
Through lyrical epiphanies
To see your “rainbow”
As a faded, stolen crayon
Where flirtatious dialect from withered accomplice
Licks cubic zirconium’s aftertaste
Forgetting that karma doesn’t tolerate one-night stands
For me, that time is now.
Then, I knew who you were.
Now, I know who you are.
You are not what you say.
A false advertisement in Sunday’s illiterate paper…
…with erased verbatim amongst your mirrored peers
Remembering how you falsified truth’s smile
Dire requests for empathetic warmth of our yesterdays
Yet, my Agnostic coat could never be thick enough
For your saturated, dual face
Respect Fellow Poets
Negative comments depict a lack of respect
PS Admin protects poets, and they object
By saying that's a no no
Don't be a cause of woe
Defiance shows a paucity of intellect
Others have offered this as a piece of advice
"If it's not your nature to write something nice,
write nothing at all"
'Cause rude words appall
Don't make Poetry Soup a fool's paradise
Mother of Nature
"The sounds of Earth is the music of my soul."Quote written by: Constance La France
*+*
Who is the mystic mother of nature
The one who paints the earth in such grandeur
Working away hardly taking a break
Changing the seasons with finessing grace.
Spring sings pleasantly o'er whispering breeze
Humming through newly sprung leaves upon trees
Blossom on boughs which for long had stood bare
Their delicate fragrance lingers on air.
Earth is gleeful when summer has begun
Flora and fauna bloom beneath the sun
And what delight to be beside the sea
As waves ebb and flow melodiously.
Autumn's the time to gather harvest fruits
A picturesque view for lovers pursuits
Flamboyant leaves are preparing their dance
The swaying, swirling ballet of romance.
Gracefully serene is the winter scene
Frosty mornings, crystal snowflakes that sheen
Choirs out carol singing below the moon
Excited are children, it's Christmas soon.
Mother of nature toils undefeated
Till every single task is completed
Loving all seasons she gives of her best
It's a must to show her bequest respect.
Not this day
No
My mouth shall not say
The words that linger
Trailing broken syllables
From memory bay
Without meaning
I cannot form them
Even as I pray
Turning in guttural acidic taste
By bitter bile way
Fumbling resentment
Phrase to phase
With no sway from sentiment
Shall I dare?
Shall I say?
Nay!
Struggle thought
Drowning heart turned grey
Oh how heavy they drag
And scuff the floor from their weight
I look at them there in utter dismay
Clutching my heels as I walk away
I left them there
Begging!
Just as they left me that day
Those words...
Once meant for you
That I will NEVER again say
We are as we were before,
But you inspire me more.
Any real poet knows you're with us or against us,
Together we're one.
The world will wonder what's wrong,
When our work here is done.
We honor the new,
We honor the old.
We do as we say.
We say as we're told.
We know the answer and it goes without saying,
Peace of mind in our work,
Moral compass not straying.
I have yet searched for your name but see you none the less,
I created this writing to honor your consistent quality,
I must admire,
I must Confess.
JUST WANT TO SAY
                          JUST WANT TO SAY......
    Rich or poor,
    We can all choose to have a kind heart!
    Be kind to each other.
    Kindness is free!!!!
Premium Member True Love is Another Breed
True love is a connection
a recognition of each other's soul
a respect that only grows
True love is when exposing vulnerability
is not a sign of weakness
but an act of total trust
True love knows no borders
it can even survive death
because love is stronger than grief
There once was a man whose intellect
He did not at anytime neglect
His imagination dull
New ideas he would cull
From his colleagues received no respect
imagination".
Respect - a Two Way Street
Hey there fella,
Listen up real fine
I'm gonna blast ya
With this slammin rhyme
You said I be trippin
Cuz i can't show my love
Well you still be creepin
With that itsy package you shove
Go back and give me
Something more than your haiku
For this big ol momma
I needs somethin to chew
Don't get all uppity
Or sig yer hoes on me
You mess with the wrong one
Can't your Silence see
You can make the others
Lick up all yo shoes
But head on off to boys town
For another that you choose
Shake bam rattle
I ain't showin you my stuff
Bye ya made up tyrant
This B has had enough
Friendship's All About Respect
By Franklin Price
4/7/2015
Friendship's all about respect
A meet a greet cause and effect
I don't know you you don't know me
Yet there is a commonality
We like to talk the subjects wide
Views apart or side by side
It matters not how we connect
Must for each other have respect
You have your right to have your view
I have my right to have mine too
Variety of thoughts abound
Discussion makes for common ground
The way we state our own belief
Can bring on stress welcome relief
Can bring together bonding more
Or sadly start another war
Words can hurt or heal the mind
The healing we should try to find
In all discussions to the end
If we're to keep a friend a friend
When it comes to you and me
We can agree to disagree
I still like your company
You are still a friend to me
Cosmic Respect
IT'S SAID A FEW HUNDRED MILLION YEARS AGO
I WAS LIVING IN THE SEA
I HAD NO LEGS TO WALK
I COULDN'T EVEN TALK
I WAS JUST A SEA ANEMONE
A SINGLE CELLED CRITTER IN THE PRIMAL STEW
DIDN'T SEEM TO BE GETTING ANYWHERE
BUT THEN SOMETHING HAPPENED
I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT WAS
BUT IT MADE ME COME UP FOR AIR
I MUST HAVE LOST MY TAIL BETWEEN THE SEA AND THE SHORE
AND I FINALLY LEARNED TO WALK ERECT
I GUESS YOU COULD SAY I'VE COME A LONG WAY
TO GET A LITTLE COSMIC RESPECT
SOME MIGHT EVEN SAY I AM CIVILIZED
BY THE WAY THAT I KNEEL TO PRAY
BUT WHAT'S IMAGINATION IF IT ISN'T INSPIRATION
IS THAT HOW I GOT HERE TODAY
THERE'S A THOUSAND DIFFERENT TALES OF CREATION
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHICH ONE TO BELIEVE
SCIENCE TEACHES EVOLUTION
RELIGION TEACHES ADAM AND EVE
I DON'T CARE IF THE WORLD IS ON A TURTLE'S BACK
OR A SUPER DUDE SAID LET THERE BE LIGHT
THERE IS SOMETHING HAPPENING, SYNAPS ARE SNAPPING
SO I'D LIKE TO GET MY FACTS JUST RIGHT
GODS SO PROLIFIC YOU GOT TO BE SPECIFIC
WHO'S GONNA HEAR YOU PRAY
JESUS OR JUDAH, MOHAMMED OR BUDHA
WHO ANSWERS PRAYERS TODAY
I DON'T BELIEVE THE BIG BANG THEORY
IS HOW I LEARNED TO PROCREATE
AND I THINK IT'S KINDA FUNKY
IF ADAM WAS A MONKEY
OR IT WAS SOMETHING EVE ATE
WHILE CHILLING IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN
SOME OLD SNAKE SAID STEP INTO THE LIGHT
IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A LIFE YOU GOTTA BE A WIFE
SO HAVE ADAM TAKE A BITE
OH WHAT A STINKER, HOOK LINE AND SINKER
ADAM REALLY SWALLOWED EVE'S BAIT
HOW WAS HE TO KNOW THAT SHE WAS JUST TROLLING
PIMPING FOR A SNAKE
NOW HE'S GOT HER DEEP INSIDE AND HE CAN'T GET AWAY
SHE REELS HIM AND WATCHES HIM PLAY
THE BETTER THEY LOOK, THE DEEPER THE HOOK
MEN WILL NEVER EVER GET AWAY
HAS IT BEEN THAT WAY FOREVER
BY A GOD THAT IS SO CLEVER
IN A GARDEN'S PERFECT WEATHER
IT'S A LOVELY ENDEAVOR
I DON'T MIND IF I DON'T GET AWAY
BUT I'D LIKE TO KNOW TO WHOM I PRAY
Have More Respect For Yourself
*READ ALL BEFORE COMMENTING*
Lord forgive me she says she is on that sophisticated wine and dine,
she says her lips are sweet, hips full bliss enough to put your mind at ease.
Damn girl where did you get those degrees.
She feigns knowledge, pledges abstinence but lets loose to the first fool she sees
Then pledges again and lets loose and the cycle continuously, continues in a loop of ignorance.
Strange you are, a woman you are,
so when will you take a stand, and understand your lips and hips...
momentary satisfactions. The ratings of your visage an illusion which fades over time.
Rude... me... no, truthful yes, knowledge is a blessing the king you seek is not
dwelling in the slums in where you hum your tunes
Lord forgive me she says she is on that sophisticated wine and dine,
she says her lips are sweet, hips full of bliss enough to put your mind at ease.
I won't beg, I won't cry so the more power to you girl, cause ignorance is truly bliss
