There is a maxim that the great Portuguese poet Fernando Pessoa pointed out: the poet is a pretender ... he pretends the pain he does not feel ... and what he says and writes, does not really represent his situation ... It's just a shame that a poet's creation cannot be valued without someone trying to shoot it down just because of a difference of opinion. I'm always glad to read your wonderful comments, John. Thank you.

Blessed congrats on POTD my friend. A great poem on the issue that some few here seek to harm others. We should have here respect, kindness, mutual understanding of the Art we are involved in. And not have to deal with the wickedness of some few. No cleverly disguised cuts are needed from those that use that method to slash others....... Great poem.. A fav ..God bless..

Brilliant couple of Limericks, Jenna, nicely tapping the hammer on the head there, and a quick poke on the eye icon bans them from commenting again, then a nice cup of tea, and remember to breath . . . ; )

Blocking them only stops them from commenting on your poetry page - they can still comment to you if you comment on the work of another poet or on a blog - I sincerely wish admin would close this loophole:-) hugs jan xx

Congratulations Jenna. I'm fairly new to the Soup and have been delighted to find it's mainly populated by the well-intentioned. Why the few antagonists don't stick with Craigslist Rants and Raves or some other online gripeville I don't know. A case of not wanting to belong to a club that would have them?
