Would you rather me lie? Not tell you the truth?,
Tell me,,,,is that really loving you?,
If I keep these things from you I would be lying to you,
How much could I love you if I just ignored the truth?,
Should I play along, not care enough to say?,
I'm sorry to say love doesn't work that way,,,,,
Would you like me to pretend? Because that would be easy,
Is that what you want? Because you wouldn't still be here with me,
Love always requires sacrifice, it's not always pretty to see,
I would want you to do the same thing for me,
Don't humor me when you see me screwing up,
If I get bent out of shape, I'll get over it soon enough,
But in your honesty to tell the truth,
Proves time and time again how much I love you,
That small moment of hurt opens my eyes,
I would never give up on our love because you've helped me realize,
I love you always.....
Faith requires both the rod and the staff to get salvation;
whoever fails in this quest will experience much tribulation.
Try to climb the rockiest mountain, you have ever seen
without the rod, you will fall into the pit.
Try to live without God, and never lean
on his staff, your feet will get weak and make you slip.
Uphold His laws and learn from His mouth as His words burst,
He promises that He won't let your burden be heavier
than the one you can easily carry on either shoulder;
His wisdom is the spring that will quench your desperate thirst.
From the bottom of the valley to the mountain's peak,
you climbed singing and listening to that hummingbird.
David did the same, never showing a sign of being weak;
he kept on climbing cliffs happily, feeling a puff of wind.
Faith requires both the rod and the staff to get salvation;
not having these two, we're thrown into the depths of damnation.
The rod is that vital strength to overcome sins of any sort;.
the staff is that strong shoulder we lean on when we're distraught.

We are all invited to a banquet,
a celebration unequaled
by the richest imagination
for eternity.
And all that is required of the guest?
a joyful, thankful, faithful price -
the belief and trust
in Jesus Christ.
At times, you failed your family, yourself,
and God. Your conscience wouldn't quiet down
until you said, "I'm sorry. Could you please
forgive me?" All said "yes," but still you felt
remaining guilt you couldn't rise above.
You couldn't comprehend your frame of mind,
the feeling that--no matter how you tried--
you couldn't do enough to make amends.
You prayed to find the path to happiness
and knew that only God could show the way.
Then God revealed the truth you'd failed to grasp,
that peace and joy cannot abide in hearts
of those who can’t forgive or love themselves.
You felt the ease of conscience you’d long sought
when shackles of self-loathing fell away.
You still fail God, yourself, and family,
and you will do so till you breathe your last;
but now you can forgive and yourself,
for love enables people to forgive.
If love of self were wrong, would God have said
that we should love our neighbors as ourselves?
Awareness requires only that we pay attention and see things as they are
It doesn’t require that we change anything
God speaks in His word of many things
but there's one word that always repeats
showing the importance God has for it
obedience is that word He loves to greet
God is delighted when we obey Him
for obedience glorifies His mighty name
no amount of sacrifices will suffice
a humble obedient saint is His aim
God hates sin like nothing else
for disobedience to God is truly sin
revealing a heart full of rebellion
needing divine forgiveness to enter in
God's voice speaks to the human heart
convicting to convert that sinning soul
revealing how deep sin penetrates
but grace goes further healing that hole
God loves us to trust and obey
showing our love is faithfully true
being happy in Jesus is so fulfilling
God's will is the best you can do
(And Samuel said,
“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices,
as in obeying the voice of the Lord?
Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice,
and to listen than the fat of rams.
For rebellion is as the sin of divination,
and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry.
Because you have rejected the word of the Lord,
he has also rejected you from being king.”)

TO A CLEAR BLUE SKY.
POLITELY ASKED
THE QUESTION WHY.
AROUND IN CIRCLES
HE CONTINUED TO FLY.
HE FLEXED HIS WINGS
AS IF HE HAD POWER.
I INHALED THE FRAGRANCE
OF WILD FLOWERS.
WENT BACK TO SLEEP
FOR ANOTHER HOUR.

It requires the will of man
I have to admit at first I thought it was a hapless plan
Simply asking man to do everything he could
In service of the greater good
You know yourself some people are more stubborn than wood
But if anyone could implement this crazy plan
I knew before me , here stood that very man
He was pleasantly unassuming , sporting no sign of hollywood grooming
It was his words that were booming , his passion all consuming
I pity that poor man chosen to implement that doomed plan
As it required the will of man.

you’re shy the main ingredient.
The seed of success won’t sprout,
without patience and being obedient.
First a tree, then finally an orchard,
A dream started with a single seed.
