For some of us, the dream of love
is tender as a seed
which, sown in fertile hopeful minds,
grows common as a reed.

A stalwart grass, with no rare scent;
no fancy blooms to see;
no passion’s rose, it merely stands
with nothing grand to be.

It shelters me, this simple reed
that...

Christmas In the Plain of Reeds
CHRISTMAS IN THE PLAIN OF REEDS

Three on isolated holiday;
Cambodia on the horizon.
The reeds sway in the wind,
rippling like drifting snow,
their touch a ringing bell.
So close to the Border,
so far from Christmas,
so far from home.

Reeds, Water's Edge
Two reeds at water's edge, siblings
in size and suppleness, fend in wind their
all but invisible life, as miraculous as yours,
or my own: their 'Watcher in the Rye"? No!--
but surely the Watcher in the Sky, who
made their delicate life, and ours. Shall take
a knife...

Reeds
Wind, sly wind
Brush over the shore
Sweep the leaves
Stones, water
Whistle over the lilies
And rattle the reeds...

The Reeds Bend the Wind
… the reeds bend the wind
G. Milev

where the blue is a mirage
for the forehead bent
the man is undressed
and dry soil drops out of his lips
the sadness is an illusion for those ones
who clench the shores with their teeth
and the articulated reeds swing…...

Reeds of Sound
I had become the slender reed
that bent to curve but never broke

a hollow echo of time
that thrilled my veins
(and now haunts my eyes)
and was sung,
as roots of knowledge dug deep,
but with a finding of ground
they eased closer to my...

as the sun rolls down on the country side,

The townspeople look on with pride....

Stranges and Reeds Is What It Needs
Strings and reeds
Is what it needs
Bassy sounds
and a
Groovy beat
A conducter
to give
Direction
The right singers
to collaborate
So we can
do our thing
and
Celebrate

Get it right

Many times
In ever position
Make it mine
That's a singers

To make you listen

Put your all into it

Band of Reeds
An orchestra sounds
As the wind blows across the waters
Every pitch is thrown and bounces
Around the heart of the sick lover
Pining in remembrance of a lovely voice
Who had no love for him
And his constancy to gain her
Drove her to change her identity
As he searched her out
Among...

Field of Reeds is a heavenly paradise where Osiris rules. Ka of the Nile.
Ancient Egyptians believed that the soul resides in the heart.
Upon death, the Weighing of the Heart occurs.

I drank from the cup of His salvation and entered in
while the sun drank...

Set sail in feathered ships
mis guided by shattered stars
and bent leaden sextants.
A little white rippled tempest
becomes a blackened water witch
hatched from a devil's chrysalis
sails are whipped and torn in half
sextant and mast fashion a crucifix
earth swallowed by the final horizon
souls churn upon Poseidon's spitz.

Slothful morning...
