Best Recuperate Poems

The Black Sheep

Pushed aside, location of home obscured, limited by isolation:
drifting aimlessly - subscribing to a voluntary incarceration.

Outcast by an alternative perspective, a differing sense of direction,
through a desire to develop resolutions to numerable imperfections.

Others recede into bad habits - shirking from every challenge,
placing emphasis on ignoring responsibilities; yet expecting a life that’s lavish.

So it’s hardly surprising when their dreams fall by the wayside,
having taken the easy road too often, they’re fighting against a landslide
to recuperate what was lost, or rather thrown away by being lax and care-free,
they’ve imposed upon themselves a limit, as to what they can achieve.

Armed with the powerful weapon of fore-sight, I clawed myself out of the rut,
but it’s little consolation for having to watch my friends get stuck.
Trying to avoid a patronising tone, I conceal myself into anonymity -
uninspired by foolish games, approaching every overture with timidity.

Wanting to tell them to change, to realise their mistakes,
but sometimes things are hardest to see when they stare you in the face.
It’s their life to live, and do so how they wish -
I just pray they realise: there’s more to it then “getting pissed”.

Distance Is the River She Could Not Cross

The very essence of reality
Pricked the man's four chambered pump
Today he became a dumbfounded child
Taken aback by the simple reply
He was brought back to the ground
From the fanciful flight of his own little dream
She said"Distance is the river I cannot cross"
These simple words drowned the pictured life
His whole self was shaken to the core
That river lost him all
Trying to recuperate
And
Introspecting the things he said and heard today
He now asks" Why can't my dream be my reality?"

Premium Member A Perfect Fit

His betrayal left a hole in your heart
that yesterday's memories cannot fill.
And anxiety's tearing you apart;
as the trickling tears continue to spill.

Depression is a sticky self-pity web
that holds you in the grip night and day.
And the tides of worry refuse to ebb;
washing your fantasies and dreams away.

When a forever promise gets broken,
there is no way hope can ever fix it.
For trust questions, every word he's spoken,
doubting he was ever a perfect fit.

You may feel your pain will never abate,
but in time, your heart will recuperate.

Inspired By Jan Allison - Humanity

Humanity, once upon a long time ago did live in true paradise!
Understanding nature more than we ever have, give and, or take.
Moving on when required, leaving land to recuperate, another day.
Accepting that they had to share knowledge. not to rob the land!
Never turning fertile soil to deserts, to yellowing eroding sand.
Indeed collecting, gathering would work today, why don't we try?
Take chances, stick to the simple things in life, water, fire, no strife!
Yes, we must try to understand that what were doing is'nt grand!

Lamentations

On a ledge and in trace of paths to incandescent tunnels away from illusive digression.
Voices fade overhead into narrowing echo of screams amid mild depression.

I drown in the shadows to escape the mean pressure from society and peers combined.
A Judgement of guilt and inequity, that doesn’t seldom need to be redefined.

Provocative words full of rage and furry frequent as it flows meandering its way into my pale ochre imaginations.
Like the drizzle of a brusque morning serene abrupt with no opposing confrontations.

My body sway from side to side as I walk on, perhaps my heavy heart weighs me down .
Hollow with no ideas and aims to pin down failure’s momentum building up beneath my feet.

Love keeps me going as I crawl in the shadows leaving behind dreams I can never fulfill.
Out of the cave and the world opens to a pool of light so sublime invading the dark all around.

I hope my ascending calls for divine inspiration brews love for in it I believe.
For I climb the sable stairs to recuperate under burgundy solar flares where my ambitions succeed.

So give me a rope, so I can ascend a bit further to see what lies beyond the Rhine .
Guess it will be my chain of broken dreams rearranged in velvet swirls that entwine.

Premium Member Anyone Who Had a Heart

Why won’t you love me
When I would die for you
You are my world yet you turn your back
My tears mean nothing to you
I look in the mirror and see but the shell of a woman
Reduced to living at your every whim
I live for your apologies and changes of heart
You’d love me not to love you so much
It’s exactly this dependence you abhor
It’s my weakness you despise
Yet how do I turn the clock or just pretend
How do I step back and give you freedom
How do I cure myself of you

I dream of a role reversal where you
Chase me to the ends of the world
And die for a kiss from my lips
Till then I need to do what I must
Let my heart recuperate
And set you free

Cancer - the Invader

Cancer - The Invader

By Betty Harp Butler

Cancer does not knock-
It invades.
It comes when you least expect it,
When things are going just fine.
Then boom!
And in it wades.

It takes you by surprise,
When you have always been so healthy.
It is no respecter of persons.
It’s comes to the poor, and also to the wealthy.

You must not think, “it couldn’t happen to me.”
It can, and it does, as many people see.
Don’t be complacent, check things out.
It could happen to you-there is no doubt (get tested).

It did happen to me
When I least expected it.
A routine doctor’s exam,
And a quick mammogram,
Revealed the ugly truth,
I had Cancer with a capital C.

When you get news like that,
It frightens you, just hearing it.
Along with the fear, I remembered,
“I have faith in God!”
He will be with me through all that.

It took a long time to recuperate.
I had very good caretakers around the clock at my home.
I came through the surgery just fine.
I had faith.
God was with me all the way.

It happened in August 2018.
I was eighty-five years old.
I am eighty-seven years old now and doing well.

God has been very good to me.
He has blessed me with good children and caretakers.
I thank God for adding years to my allotted days.
God is good!

Enlightenment Harmony Hope

I Saw A Light
Enlightenment Hope & Harmony advanced to help
reuniting our warm bodies disregarded the period
of our aloneness when far apart we were over
a decade.

Harmony enables us love each other having
everything to gain allowing our hope not to fail
notice how deeply in touch our instincts are,
those endless years of being separated,
will succeed to enlighten our nights, not to
abandon each others arms.

Hope will never sense the feeling of being senseless,
we will generate great power to recuperate
time lost by exhaling our passions breathing while
watching an illusion of one big red heart appearing on top
of a humble humming wave,
Forever In Love.

Destiny suddenly turned its way when realizing
a greater force does exist, although she never yelled
or called for help when being in distress, now he is
here spending the night undisturbed to enjoy the
happenings that awaits in that panoramic refuge.

Their arising love will be demonstrated while flying
half naked towards the oceans crashing waves to
harmonize parts of their bodies, feel the depth of yearning
to excel in their coming life, desire to love and make
love on the shore while listening to the melody of the
waves splashing with tremendous power to wash away
anyone who will dare break them apart, belonging
to long for each other, a promise will keep them
united eternally.

           The evening ended prepared to engrave those
                             three words on our chests,
                     Enlightenment Hope and Harmony
          trusting our bodies never to be separated ever again.

Saint Anthony

They say you are the patron saint
Of all things that are lost
Please help me to recover from
My efforts and my cost

I lost it at the racetrack
And in a poker game
I lost it in a slot machine
Please help redeem my name

I lost it on my sister’s cat
And when I cleaned it up
I lost it on my sweet DeLilah
Please refill her cup

What’s that, you say?
These things don’t count?
Only real things, in any
Number or amount?

Haps you’ve seen my wallet then
My cell phone and my keys
These things I must recuperate
If you can help me, please

While you’re out there looking
I’d have you also know
I’d have you keep an eye out for
My marbles and my eo-eo

Enjoy the music here.

Premium Member Mystic Moments

Early start
East Coast Ferry Terminal;
Sleepy journey

Trip for two
Getaway spa resort;
Rest and recuperate

Mystic moments:
Retreat into void --
Battery recharging

To re-jig sense
Spur sensorial feel;
Find and anchor

Getaway mode
Three days of rest;
Tropical idyll

Sing a song
Joy floods again;
Refresh soiled templates

Doing nothing
Can heal you wholesome;
Empty cups need refill

So there you go:
Two lovers
Playing catchup

Take your trip,
Embrace emptiness;
Rest weary wiles

Here by this bench
Watch people passing;
Wit humours worry

Driver's hot seat:
Fast luxury car
Speeding away

Now for a pit stop
Mechanics of motion;
Preventive maintenance

Bus trip homewards
Observe fellow passengers;
Flashy mobile devices

We flood the bus
Private thoughts lurk;
Ready to unleash

Air-con bus ride
Morning masquerade;
Chameleons in-transit

Glare of morning
Sun in my eyes;
Drowsy dreamy crazy

Missing the point
Stray words dislodge;
Meaning decapitated

Drowsy movement
Blurry sensations;
Graveyard shift starts

Report and lodge
Complaint that cuts;
Fire a loose cannon

Moody mindset
Uneasy dawn;
Distant tremors

Exit the start
Enter the end;
Roundabout lurks

Highway song
Go fast within limits;
Speedy Gonzales!

Follow the signs:
Deliver me
From my slavery

Illumination saves
Ignorance and blame;
Choice rewards freedom

Morning story
Sleep put on hold;
Awareness now grooms

Today's Doctor Visit

I had my shot today
it made me feel a little gray
a side effect of medication
a doctors creation

Given by the nurse doth bestow
my husband holds my hand though
my friend talks to me on the phone
to calm my nerves as is above shown

It was a little hot today
what else should I say
I'm at home to recuperate
with my soul mate

It usually wears off by now
after my evening chow
tonight I feel a little hyper active
my pulse is a little reactive

Premium Member The New Christmas Season

Thanksgiving celebrations are complete;
families recuperate from their meals;
Black Friday tomorrow, cars line the street,
and shoppers at Wal-Mart looking for deals.

Neighborhoods adorned with bright colored lights;
families decorate their Christmas tree.
Everywhere you look you see festive sights;
folks out and about all looking carefree.

But there’s a disturbing trend going ‘round;
Christmas is not politicly correct.
Holiday season is the proper noun;
‘cause some are offended and will object.

In our country today I have no doubt;
we forgot what Christmas is all about.

Premium Member I See You

I see you
Eyes as soothing and true
A calming voice
Needed amongst the bustling noise
I see you
My life is not through
I cannot move
But you are keeping me cool
I see you
I am scared here
I need the comfort like a stuffed teddy bear
I see you
Earlier today I was a fool
Trying something I was not supposed to do
But you are here not on a break
Tending to those who are starting to wake
First thing one sees
Coming out of the darkness minus the colorful dreams
A bright light
Due to the reality of sight
Triggering an honest feeling to let out a scream
If you know what I mean
Then I see you
And the calming image too
Days later in my hospital bed
Feeling grateful that I am not in the morgue, dead
 I watch the Hudson River boats
Knowing this situation was not my fault
Getting ready to go home
To recuperate from these broken bones
I see you
After that serious boo boo
I was alone
And you had that healing tone
I see you
And I am back healthy studying at school

Global Warming Is a Warning

Global warming is a warning.........

Mother earth is faltering due to global warming
Today man –made chemicals causing ozone depletion
Thousands of species becoming extinct due clearing of rain forest
Poisonous gases and spillage emitted daily from factories and Mills
Receding of Coral reefs due to global warming threat to marine life
The mess created by our own hands, threatening the very existence of human race
Man has woken up is it too late, and still no answers.
Man’s threat to nature has dire consequences by Mother nature
With the earths volcanic eruptions, earthquakes and earth slips Mother nature is angered
With the interference from Man with Mother nature, can the world survive?
Global warming and chemicals has taken its toll on Mother Nature, and scarcity of Water.
Can the world be saved against this wanton destruction by Man?
Humanity should band together and curb violence against mother nature
Allow mother nature to recuperate and heal by growing more trees
Respect God’s gift of nature without causing further damages
Educate people to save the world from utter destruction
Advise people to use alternate source of energy to bring change to the environment
Energy efficiency could also be obtained by educating people to create awareness
Fossil fuel from gasses should be done away with due to carbon emissions
Let Mother nature take care of waste products by re-using it to grow.
Let all the people of the world band together to heal mother nature for the future generation

Premium Member Mother Earth

Rest,
Holy mother earth,
Rest!

So much,
You have offered all of us, the
Whole summer,
Time has come, for you, to
Slow down!

A soft bed,
You should prepare for yoursef, made
From autumn’s golden leaves
For
The winter in complete relaxation to pass,
Slowly to recuperate

Repose,
Mother earth,
Repose!

Before

The reviving call of spring, wakes
You up

For

Another miraculous circle of life to
Begin!
