Reaching the Deepest Ocean

My Beloved,
Can you read me between the lines and verses,
Can you feel my tender scarlet heart throbbing,
   with intense drumming emotions?
Can you feel my fragile spirit, searching for you own?
Searching in the corridors, reaching for your soul?
as my ivory skin burns in flames of crackling fire.

My Baby,
Can you feel the depth of wanting, and longing?
Can you feel the aching for your touch? Can you
feel me in your dreams,as my fingertips run down
your spine in vertical motion,Needy for each and
every part of who you are.Needy for that special
man I came to care for and desire.

My Dearest,
Can you close your deep warm eyes for just a moment,
feel my pink soft lips brushing yours,as our toungues
play in melodies of passion and love.
Yes,Love!Lust alone isn't enough for the broken hearted,
Everlasting Want is what we live for,two hearts lost and found,
Two Candles flickering in the darkness'Vast.

My Love,
Can you feel these Multitude of feelings, that I'm feeling?
Everytime i mold your face in my imagination, sculpture
you and all you are in my sweetest fantasy.Everytime I
hear your voice echoing in the alleys and valleys of my mind.
Can you feel these never ending emotions, shallower than the
Missisippi River and Higher than the Alpi and Appenini.

My Sweet dream,
Can you feel me in the Hiss of the night? In the gentle waft
of waves hugging the rocks and secret caves? Can you feel me
in the Wind'scented breeze, caressing your face?In the lullaby
Of The Nightingale in sweetest melodies, till you fall so fast asleep,
and dream,as a red robin dreams.

My Love,
If you feel what I feel, and dream what i dream,Hold me in your
Misty dreams, and if you wake up to find me gone,Remember!
Just remember,I love you,You live in my first awakening thought,
and in my deepest lasting dream.

Reaching Deepest Oceans ,Revised

My cherished one How far will I love you
As far as where moons dissolve in deep seas
Beyond the edge of a tide's crimson hue
where your breath quickens sails with fevered breeze
Alone I 'll embark to our promised land
across long borders of unending pain
under still stars and above drifting sand
through anchored shadows of persistent rain.
Oh those foreign eyes yet not so distant
Your arms safe harbor of a warm embrace
Two hearts entwine against odds resistant
'Neath plum fog sky my lips outline your face
Water rises 'tween silent hope and time
But water falls and I will make you mine

Reaching Out

Through thickening haze,
I hear your voice call my name,
encouraging me, words beating
with my heart, guiding me home
as I stumble and crawl…
lost in a winding maze,
blinded by a smokescreen haze.
My life falls off-course; a sudden struggle,
I am suffocated by my own thoughts,
by perfectly manicured hedges,
by a world of betrayal…a world of deceit.
Yet, I live every moment with hope –
I see filtered rays of light,
feel their warmth on my skin,
a reminder of Heaven when I shiver within.
As I climb my leafy-green, prison walls,
my courage creates new heightened paths.
Like English Ivy weaving
through a garden lattice,
I grow taller, plan my escape,
hear your unwavering voice
drape over me with love and strength…
Your hand, outstretched,
seems just within my reach.
I focus on a life without walls,
a place I can learn and teach,
an open field of tomorrows…
vibrant, full, free.
Every singular cell, every breath I draw,
every soulful feeling…all of me,
with all of my flaws,
reaches out to all of you.
With a touch, I am saved…
I am found.
A new dawn breaks just within my reach.

Premium Member Reaching Out

April in Melbourne
and the trees
are beginning to write Autumn
on the waters of the river
in a script of floating leaves,
briefly holding meaning clumped
within the grip of a few
fragile stanzas before
breaking apart.

There is something sad
in the dissolution, in the loss
of adhesion, the inevitable drift
towards an end where
what remains will become
pages of bottom silt.

I am not sure
if anything survives -
beauty, the loveliness
of this world, meaning itself -
all seem to pass away
and yet we write words
as if reaching out to grasp
something of the eternal
that is concealed behind
a camouflage of decay.

Reaching Deepest Oceans

My beloved

How far will I love you

As far as where moons immerse in deep seas

Beyond the edge of a tide's crimson hue

Where your breath fills my sails with soft zephyr breeze

Lone I embark to our promised land

Across borders of secret pain

Under still stars,above drifting sand

 through anchored shadows of rain

Oh foreign eyes,but never distant

Your arms'safe harbour of a long embrace

Two souls entwined,two hearts persistent

Beneath night's sky,my lips outline your face

Water rise, water falls between shores and time

Empty spaces still abhore our love, sweet tender and sublime

Reaching the Third Level

To reach nirvana
Poet paradise
You have to reach the third level

It's a journey to forever
It may take some their whole lifetime,
and others may never get there

It's a quantum leap
fraught with uncertainty
First it takes writing skill,
then an inexhaustible will
and finally, untapped creativity

The first level is easy
Most anyone can do it,
you simply write what you feel and think
It requires no linguistic coordination,
no moral obligation,
just the courage to dive in, unafraid to sink

Some people drown in their own words,
no sense of it all can be heard,
just a rapid ride on their stream of consciousness

If you make it through the first level
with pen still in hand and curiosity still intact,
you can further elevate and explore
But a lot of poets, sadly, become satisfied with where they're at

The second level is much harder
Not everyone can do it,
exploring themes not from your own personal experience
It's a precarious climb
melding a vicarious mind,
leading you sometimes to places that you never sought to find

Some people can't handle it, they cower away
when facing the daunting realm of the unknown
Unanchored from their familiar world view, their confidence be gone

If you make through the second level
with sound mind in place and determination still undeterred,
you can shed the constraints of time and space
But more winnowed poets, regrettably,
haven't the creative stamina to finish the race

The third level is the most difficult to reach
Only breached by a chosen few,
who were born to travel to the farthest dimensions of the mind
They breathe unexplored air,
they speak with authority of being there
Poetic pioneers fearlessly going where others are not so inclined

They are chosen ones who enter a hidden sacred space;
transversing the treacherous depths of the heart, facing come what may
They are timeless souls searching beyond the veiled gray

They've reached the third level
Nirvana
Poet paradise
The nexus of every imagined possibility:
they will be faithful to observe,
faithful to record,
faithful to write all that they see

Reaching For the Light

In the waiting room, the plant
Sat near the windowsill.
Purple leaves were nodding
Like they had their own free will.

Their skinny stems supported
What were leaves split up in threes;
All were dancing to the music
From the radiator breeze.

Outside the sun was shining
Though the day was brisk and cold.
That brightness drew the plant
And like Svengali, had a hold.

For every leaf was straining
To get closer to the light.
I wondered if they’d loosen up
When day turned into night.

I guess we’re not so different
‘Cause it’s natural to yearn
For whatever makes us cozy
And it’s to that source we’ll turn.

Reaching Back

Now I reach back into the past
  to my first love
  but not my last.

I hear his voice still in my brain.
So many fragments of the past remain.

I see the one I loved so true
on the highway in my rearview.

I'm on vacation,
  a getaway,
  from the sorrows of today.

We laughed and cried so much back then.
We shared smiles.
We kissed and lingered for a while.

He kissed my hand and looked into my eyes.
I felt his heartbeat.
He heard my sighs.

We were so young then and free.
He was himself and I was me.

Reaching Out

Like a branch that reaches out toward the sun
Or a leaf that gently touches the sky
steadfast and growing with roots running deep
or a robin preparing to fly
like a wing that glides on a gentle wind
seeking its way to a nest
like a wave gently rolling ashore
Searching for a place to rest
Like two hearts beating from many miles away
thumping in perfect harmony
trying to find some common ground, to set their spirits free
Like a kite that slowly dances across the sky
or the sun that chases the moon
like a rainbow arched from right to left that faded much too soon
Like a dolphin leaping over a perfect wave
or a shooting star that glitters in its flight
The soft sweet whisper of a gentle sea breeze
as the daytime slowly turns into night
like a mother and child sharing time
precious moments in a gentle embrace
like the the sun that rises in the eastern sky
with a smile on its early morning face
like the golden rays reaching out to touch
the green soft earth below
like a love that seeks to find an answer
one you might already know
like a song that reaches out to find
an open and receptive ear
like the person scared to make a change, suddenly losing that fear
like a road that reaches out to nowhere, suddenly finding its place
like two people standing lost gazing face to face
Where love’s blindness brings clear vision
Hearts seek out the perfect place

Reaching For Peaks

The ponderous fog lifted early,
now the widening bounteous blue
makes its presence known,
my feet stay on the ground,
but my eyes climb an upward
journey passing slowly in review
and as big as passion itself.

I'm gently carried to another height,
a caressing contentment and quiet period
where the depths of inspiration
seem limitless among the sculptural
mountains that slope near, then
irregularly lift and fall, and beyond
every heightening, a new heightening waits.

Resting on the mountaintops, one huge
cloud with scalloped edges of mighty
morning shine, and lingering high above
are the smoldering sunbeams, therefore,
ranks of gold in scattered grandeur
are put on view wherever it falls.

A wandering river coursing unhindered,
alongside, verdant fern that's spread out
like green lace, but also sated
pines in their stateliness of movement.
Reaching for mountain peaks so that
serenity stretches out its sensors
to relieve any inner restlessness or
turbulence while steadying my hurried pace.

Reaching For You

~
The clouds look like fingers,
an eastern horizon
As if they are reaching
for one they adore

As I stand here gazing,
my eyes, their direction
While reaching for you
on this morning once more

Reaching Out To You -

Can you hear my voice,
on the other side?
I call quietly out to reach your ear,
and hope your heart will listen.
I don't care to reach the masses,
just one just you will do.
I'm a solitude writer,
as company can crowd me.
One perfect understanding being,
to delight in mutual comprehension.
How interesting silent communication is,
when two are wired just right.
A half wink, a half smile,
or just a half glance would do,
to translate all's well,
along with my hope for you too.
Keep fresh my love for you,
as my touch for you in your heart.
I cannot for years foresee,
how on earth we'd ever grow apart.
I have yet to witness over time,
true love that ever really did die.
If time would pass without an exchange,
hearts might surely bleed.
Like the clearing of a thick fog,
a lighthouse beam so bright,
the distance grows nearer,
ships find ports and captains raise their glasses.
Unite once again after rough seas and a long while,
together with a knowing half smile!

Premium Member Reaching For The stars

When I was young
I wondered why
I couldn't reach up
And touch the sky

I thought I only
Had to grow tall
Couldn't reach it
'cause I was too small

But then I grew up
And came to understand
The sky wasn't something
You could touch with your hand

My longing to touch
The stars diminished
And I felt my dream
Was truly finished

But now I find
Since I've grown old
My dreams have changed
No longer raw and bold

The longing wasn't wrong
It was something true
On a different plane
It's what I needed to do

Don't lose your dreams
Whatever they be
I'll tell you a secret
Between you and me

Every dream is needed
To lead to the true
Place in your life
To be truly you
