Premium Member Crimsom Red

the artist put paint on a blank sheet,
  a deep crimson red was so concrete.
  which flowed out, a grim work of art,
  can be compared to my bleeding heart.

Premium Member Farewell Love

I say farewell my love- oh, I am falling apart,
we have reached the end of the road . . . two now one;
yes, so true- I need to walk away as there is nothing left,
but will paint you in my mind 'till all my days are done.

The cute way your cheeks turn red

when I catch you watching me;

the rush when we barely touch.

There’s nothing hotter.

Premium Member Susie's Epitaph

That muffled sound you hear is Susie.
She’s still talking. What a doozie!
At her appointed time to die,
her mouth refused, and that’s no lie.

To Teacher With Love

You taught me to love,
You taught me to learn,
And here I build, I try to earn,
These wings which with I'll soar above..

Virtue not vice you taught me to sow,
Each day thus wiser you saw me grow,
You promise your care for the shoots we are,
Your nurture is rare that makes us who we are..

Your wisdom true and safe,
I held in place,
And saw aglow,  pride's gaze
Light over a mother's face..

Your strength enlivenes in my heart,
A luminous candle in the dark,
A melody, a remedy a hand to hold on,
Upon your shoulders i am made strong..

Ignited, i am empowered,
Appreciated, i am motivated,
Acknowledged, i am emboldened,
Beautiful.. I am made golden

To Teacher with love ;this letter, small and sweet..
Dedicate I; life's riches, wishes and dreams..

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill Leader Clerihew

Born in 1874 Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill
Nicknamed Winnie, with a Bulldog spirit ~ resembled my Bulldog Bill
In thinking time sat on his ‘Throne’, Lord Privy Seal rang Winston’s phone
Yelling his retort said, ‘Tell him I can only deal ~ with one s*** at a time’

4th place

Sir Winston Churchill was a British writer, military leader and statesman. Twice named prime minister of the United Kingdom, he was known for his bulldog spirit and his rousing rhetoric; he also won the Nobel Peace Prize for Literature in 1953. Churchill became the first civilian in the 20th century to be given a state funeral, which is normally reserved for kings and queens only. For three days and three nights, Churchill lay in state in 900-year-old Westminster Hall as more than 300,000 mourners filed past the casket, hewn from English oaks taken from his family estate. Such was the country’s admiration for Churchill that Queen Elizabeth II broke with monarchical tradition to attend a funeral for someone outside of the royal family. Even more unusual, the queen gave precedence to one of her subjects and arrived at the cathedral before the former prime minister’s casket.

Newcomer's Echo

The ghetto’s the realm for new immigrants,
In society now they are the peasants.
Brown, yellow or white they’re hated by all
Welcomed with a communication wall.

They’re only good for the dole, which we pay,
They’re given houses, without any delay.
They get the best work and leave us with none
We’re skint cause of them, we feel we’ve been done.

Their idiosyncrasies used as bait,
To stir differences, with which to breed hate.
They smell, they eat quat they chase our women
We won’t let them mix cause they are vermin.

No place at the inn, back to the crossroad
You can’t settle here to get a freeload.
History’s plagued by newcomer’s pain,
Only for us to repeat it again.

Let their nighttime mating calls send echoes to our souls
amid the reeds and grassy marsh that round them all enfolds.
As we move among them, let us honor their surrounds
and cherish with a listening ear, the beauty of the sounds.

Gems of Life

Such riches I have known beyond compare
Which neither gold nor sapphire could outshine;
The scent of honeysuckle in the air
Or velvet touch of newborn skin on mine.

In time’s drifting waft flitted a butterfly free

Premium Member Quat Seq - When I Am Lost

Inspiration - What Child Is This - by Greensleeves

Lord, you sent your son to show us the way,
and dead-   in his mother's arms he lay;
an innocent child was born under a sparkling star,
his path decided but always, always a son to her.

When I am lost and alone in this worldly realm Lord,
wandering, wandering and my tears have all poured;
I know you are always close by and supporting me,
holding, holding me close with arms none can see.

O, what child, what child is this the wise men said,
born to a virgin woman in this barn, this shed;
so, if your son could let go of his pain for all of us,
then, help me Lord to let go of all my distress.

When I am lost and alone in this worldly realm Lord,
wandering, wandering and my tears have all poured;
I know you are always close by and supporting me,
holding, holding me close with arms none can see.
