Notes About The Poem

Soften, Spring

The light chiffon veneers of winter's face

                    Slow-deliquesce as rangy shadows wane

Soft gossamer as whitened Guipure lace

Melts running to the rills ... with April's rain.

This is a masterpiece in creating such a tactile experience while exacting colors, implied movement, texture and narration of scene. It is a fave!

Oh, thank you so very much, SuZ, I greatly appreciate the kind words, and I'm so pleased you liked it ... I enjoy creating unusual (but sensible) imagery and word pairings, and it means a lot to me when that effort is recognized. Blessings, Dear Poet! :o) <3
