Nicola Byrne

Nicola Byrne

Now know that her name is Nicola Byrne
Writes great poems with a smooth iron
And I also have heard some poets say
She recently had another Poem of The Day.

Poem was about a person who was a pedant
Who for long life and acting had a pendant
And something else that also is ironical
She has become Byronically Byrneimical.

Premium Member Harp Strung With Hopes

Life is twittering of birds you listen
taking a stroll when sky bright and azure
Life is blooming buds of poppies glisten,
Life is all of these pure joys, and puzzling more !

Life a mesmerizing harp strung with hopes,
Life is a chessboard of failures and win,
                         magic in seasons, a kaleidoscope,
longing and loss - passionate love within!

                    gathering stunning colours from rainbow
                         relishing moments, Life is poetry,
charming sights and sounds, pour rain or sun glow,
rivers and oceans - Life is tapestry

blinded with sadness and death, Life is maze…
Life is a galaxy, stars never dim,
                        A Shangri-la brightening gloomy days,
rebirth and regeneration - Life's dream.

Either Inevitable Or Incredible

Either Inevitable Or Incredible

Things happen in life that are inevitable
Uncomfortable feelings or are incredible
Beyond imagination but still will occur
Of your yourself not seeming so sure.

Why was Quigley really down under?
Causing thunder and collecting plunder
Was really a person who played a part
Of understand feelings and having a heart.

Sanibel Island we loves and was so swell
And I still can count almost every shell
Left there but should not be collecting
Pelicans flew above and were protecting.

Wife and I received an unexpected call
My best man is dying and started to bawl
But did not do and decided to keep inside
By this weekend in heaven he will abide.

(This brought tears to my eyes again.)

What I write sometimes people take wrong
Wanted my poem to become a great song
Or just for you so you can simply read
To bring much comfort while fulfilling a need.

My poem put it on your forehead with a kiss
You could sense my osmosis and catharsis
People to be unbiased them you did insist
In their changing lives became a catalyst.

God, I never did need to be a chosen few
Must confess all my sins and pray to you
Guy had lovely daughter who liked to giggle
Changed her name from Quigley to Quigle.

(Of course, you know what spell check wants me to do.)

Instead of a toast my poem I will propose
When you sing along here's how it goes
If you play golf near gulf and have a great view
No wonder I can't take my eyes off of you.

Catch Phrase Reunion

Catch phrase’s class reunion day
All showed up to have their say…….

Willy Nilly was married to Hold your horses
Met during a PE class on the obstacle courses
Sorry Charlie always had a crush on Get a clue
But she fell for another, Give the devil his due

What the Sam hill and A day Late and a dollar short
Had the biggest battle ever seen on Divorce Court.

Totally, Radical, and Righteous all best of friends
Married to Bodacious, Groovy and You Da Man

Cool Beans was single and still living with mom
Brought his young girlfriend her name was Da Bomb

Two sheets to the wind asked Lord willing to dance
While The full Monty made out with Half a chance

Look what the cat drug in was late but nothing new
Sauntering in with her new squeeze, called Cat man doo

Dig it got a little fresh with Talk to the hand
And his wife What Ever she just left with the band

Better you than me came looking for Mind your Ps and Qs
But ended up leaving with the famous twins “It takes two”

Take a picture it will last longer captures the moments
While Read all about it goes around asking for comments

A cold day in Hell final came but no one was there to see
They all went over to For Heaven Sakes house for a cuppa’ a tea
The end……

Shape of the Nation

Shape Of The Nation (an oval precaution)

News outlets draw the line at racism
Pencil gray, color blind and crayons ready
Fantasies replace triangles, circles and square deals

Pentagons, hexagons, octagons where born to serve
Here today gone tomorrow with the curve
Will never shape up to political correctness
Or move into the oval office in any way shape or form

The people saw dangling chads in Florida
Hanging like spots before their eyes
Circular, uncounted votes remembered
Dots drop like spots before their eyes
May have to be recounted once again this November

News paper lines run up and down with lies
This election season is no less political
Etched like Escher paintings
Stairs that go up and down for no reason

There are 2 parallel lines aligned side by side
Redundant on the horizon as simple black stripes
With a vertical one joined at the middle
At the center of attention to form an “H”
For Hilary rising
A female that Mr. "T" calls crooked

Emails can not be erased by media twists
Even with BleachBit
It is a simple precaution though
To roll into the oval office

Dedicated To Bishop Curry, Skirving and Father Davis

Dedicated to Bishop Curry, Skirving and Father Davis

Why do some people have to be hurt?
By despicable person and treated like dirt
Trying to gun down everyone in sight
Either during day or else late at night.

Is it disorder related to a personality?
Someone who has trouble facing reality
Maybe mind warped from being mistreated
Never reaching goal and is always defeated.

Regardless of what happened God forgives
And His spirit in us does continue to live
As well as love, patience and complete purity
While we exist in his presence, not obscurity.

God's Son Jesus died to save us from sin
And later to earth will return back again
Should seek to find what They are about
And Episcopal Church be sure to try out.

That was me sitting in the front pew.

As It Comes My Way

Want to write my poems and be with you
At same time which is so very true
Every time when we may be both apart
Always knew I loved you from the start.

When you returned coming back to me
In your precious eyes still see your beauty
Abounding all over your body everywhere
Always with you our love want to share.

Your presence is perfect in every essence
Along with glowing face and its radiance
God gave to for me to enjoy day by day
And all of your love as it came my way.

Obama Speech On Gun Control

Better Not Happen

Were they really great gun owners
Or strange losers and also loners
Mentally unbalanced and also unfit
With bad habits they could not quit.

Down path by Congress again are led
A student has been shot in his head
Where will all of this possibly end?
Tears to President's eyes did send.

So Obama stood up before a crowd
Said accept responsibility and shout loud
People may blunder and up things botch
But it better not happen on my watch.

Ballad of Local Diner Tune of Davey Crockett

Open everyday, at the crack of dawn,
Servin’ eggs and bacon, til there gone,
Pots of coffee, with lots of cream,
Dealin’ with the “help”, makes ya wanna scream.
Lo - cal, Lo- cal Diner, Best lil’ place in town.

Now there’s janet, the bosses daughter,
Sometime she heps, by bringin’ ya water,
Runs the show, when Frank aint around,
Cross her path, and you’re goin’ down.
Lo - cal, Lo - cal Diner, Best mind ya Ps and Qs..

Kelly has a secret, we all know,
Passed on to us, by another jo,
That aint all, but it’ll do for now,
Come on down, and enjoy the chow.
Lo - cal, Lo - cal Diner, Your secret get around.

There’s a lil’ blonde, works here too,
Straight short hair, and eyes of blue,
Probably lives close, just about a mile,
The tips she’d get, if she’d just smile.
Lo - cal, Lo - cal Diner, We pull no punches here.

Now the patrons sumptin’, ya gotta know,
Comin’ for breakfast, whether rain or snow,
They come here to eat, nothing’ else ‘round,
Day old biscuits, just throw’em on the ground.
Lo - cal, Lo - cal Diner, A critic in e’er booth.

Billy and Keith, then there’s me,
If ya can count, that makes three,
All very different, as you can see,
Keith’s the only one who set his hair free,
Lo - cal, Lo - cal Diner, I’m not far behind Keith.

If that wasn’t funny, read a little bit,
Billy hasa tic, ya can’t miss it,
Tappin’ his fingers, on the table top,
It drives me crazy, but he still won’t stop.
Lo - cal, Lo - cal Diner, Billy just taps and grins.

Well here comes Frank, Sunday at nine,
“Please Wait To Be Seated”, silly ole sign,
Just seat yourself, when he is around,
His innuendo’s, will put you down,
Lo - cal, Lo - cal Diner, Ya don’t wanna be a “Frank”.

?With Music Added

This sunny morning thought that I

Say hi to nice neighbor who I live by

And a great guitar he does play

With wife wonderful looking in every way.

Maybe might invite me over again

So we can see how we both have been

A song write about good old days

When my dancing received much praise.

Would be something if on one night

Clubhouse to eat would bring a bite

And some showing off I might do

That was sure to amuse all of you.

But being as old as we now are

Will not see me as a rising star

Even though my wife is adorable

Me and my writing are deplorable.

Biggest Eagle Nest Ever Built

Biggest Eagle Nest Ever Built

With law of nature eagle does eagerly comply
To and from her home she always will fly
Returning back to biggest nest ever built
Had been so sturdy that it will never wilt.

Head is bright white and also shiny beak
And over a long river fish she does seek
Will provide meal for her and her young
Food that she found and home has brung.

On top of majestic nest eagle does perch
Glaring eyes down on countryside search
Over a rare, beautiful, benevolent land
For her by God had been perfectly planned.

High up in sky eagle steered and steered
After her twilight neared she disappeared
Night became dark after dusk grew dim
God took her back to heaven to be with Him.

Death of Captain Khan

Death of Captain Khan

Was both with much pride and being brave
But Captain Khan now lies in an Arlington grave
After having been humble with much humility
We recently saw his fine father who was on TV.

Next to his heart was a "Constitution" copy
It was all folded neatly and never sloppy
He mentioned dead son who he does adore
Who is now high up in heaven forever more.

Many things away in life may have to give
You have to do so others survive and live
Also guide and direct and further inspect
So that appearance and manor is correct.

Saw dead officer's mother standing there
While she was finding things hard to bare
Enormous pain and suffering did endure
While husband had been comforting her.

Men may wear suits while women a dress
Who husband is always trying to impress
She absorbs pain and is a child's life giver
And this is why a baby she does deliver.

Brave soldiers and officers never do forget
Deep morning grass is still damp and wet
Had raised a dead soldier and were frugal
Hear TAPS gently being played on a bugle.
