Best Pushes Poems
As spring leaps forward
And winters shroud
Is cast back
The putrid stench of earthy damp soil
And the litter of fallen leaves death and decay
Along with freezing damp foggy mist that bites
Fades and clears as the sun appears
Pushes through the drab grey
The blue pushes away
The twisted contorted stretching tendrils
Small arms of a rugged wrinkled tree
No longer bend and bow to the will of the wind
The cocky blackbird
With its Black feathers and yellow beak
Scurries and scrounges
Among the fallen crumpled copperish leaves
Hoping to find a morsel treat
Athletic Squirrels jump from tree to tree
The silver ribboned rippling winding stream
Glistens and sparkles like diamonds brightly gleam
Miniature mountains moist green moss covered
Jagged boulders and stones the snaking stream
Weaves and twists around
With a rushing hush
The air remains somewhat fresh and crisp
Loses the fight and its bite
As the yellow solar orb above warms up
To kiss the ground with loving lips
Caressing wandering fingers
Stroke and tease the ground
The fertile earth gives birth
And rebirth anew opens up
Filling creations bowl
And thirsty cup
The treasure chest overflows once more
With abundant gems and countless gifts
On nature's shopping list
The nights get shorter
The days longer
As the sun awakes
And becomes stronger each day.
wind pushes the leaves
tumbling them against the door....
mouse scurries under
crocus pushes up
through untended garden-
screen door bangs
Barbara Gorelick
the needle pushes in her face
a kiss and the wall scratches
higher naked searching cracks
for an exit you scream soldiers
planes flash back and forth flying
a room fills with angry anxious
voices shadows growing tall
corpses rise flowers swallow
space white crosses over graves
praying mantis mothers explode
down the endless fluorescent
hall your lifted into the
long black limo ripping worms
from your face
wind pushes the leaves
tumbling them against the door....
mouse scurries under
Life may take from me more than
I can ever bear to lose
But it will never steal from me
My heart's heavenly hues!
Within me shines a thousand raindrops
That in me form a rainbow!
And at night, my soul shimmers
With the Milky Way's silken glow!
The world is cruel, dark and dreary—
With that much I agree.
But no night is dark enough
To put out the flames in me!
The world has tried to push me to hell
But with each day I rise higher!
For when life pushes at me
I'm only pushed to fight harder!
the wind pushes on
from the west to the far east
seeks its destiny

What is this drug
That beats upon me with
Winged feet and heated hands?
What is it?
Is it the wine?
Is it the gull that pushes north?
Is it the tickling at my spine?
It doesn't stop.
Not even when I'm full.
It keeps it open and raw,
Still pushing
For another days distraction.
I’m at a loss for all words
I only have myself to blame
I miss your good mornings
And how you brighten up my days
Every time we get closer
And I think you’re gonna stay
I write those three words
And says the thing I shouldn’t say
My I love you always
Pushes you away
Should I write of how I want you
Or how much I appreciate
For me there is a yearning
I guess for you it’s not the same
Im sorry my I love you
Always pushes you away
Don’t wanna hear your goodbye
Yes I love so I’ll let go
Spread your wings but if you return
Please let me be the first to know
I’ve masked feelings for so long
My silent prayers call out your name
I believe it’s fate and not free will
That brings such pleasure and such pain
My I love you always
Pushes you away
Should I write of how I want you
Or how much I appreciate
For me there is a yearning
I guess for you it’s not the same
Im sorry my I love you
Always pushes you away
Time won’t help me heal
From what can never be replaced
I’m not sorry that I love you
I will until my dying day
I’m just sorry my I love you
Always pushes you.....away
when life pushes you to your knees
you're ready to pray
