When Life Pushes Me

Life may take from me more than I can ever bear to lose But it will never steal from me My heart's heavenly hues! Within me shines a thousand raindrops That in me form a rainbow! And at night, my soul shimmers With the Milky Way's silken glow! The world is cruel, dark and dreary— With that much I agree. But no night is dark enough To put out the flames in me! The world has tried to push me to hell But with each day I rise higher! For when life pushes at me I'm only pushed to fight harder!
