Didn't I see this one somewhere before? The mouse had better avoid the cat. Again, a good entry.

My goodness, LNC, we sure do think alike. I wrote one a couple months ago for Andrea's haiku contest in which a field mouse ran into a home using a cat door. This is SOOOO cute! Best wishes in Charles' contest, dear. I gave the "dark prose" a try and saw your comment on HG's entry. I tend to think prose is prose and poetry is poetry, but it was a challenge trying to write in a "dark" style as we discussed. Love, Carolyn
