When I am honest with my belongings
I am amazed to find that I have surrounded myself
With things that I thought I could not live without
Once upon a time…..

But once upon a time is long gone, and these things
no longer give me joy, or make me happy in any kind of
weird way.

That sparkly spangly pillow I did not think I could live
without two months ago Is uncomfortably hard, and
scrapes my fingers in an unkind way when I accidentally
brush up against it. But here it sits because I did pay
Twenty-three dollars for it, right?
Wrong!

It is going, and so are thousands of other items that
no longer give me joy. I am loading up the truck with
buckets and boxes of insane things when my husband
starts to stroll around the corner. Whisk! He is now
hiding behind the edge of the porch.

He has seen me in this mood many times, and he
always comments that he is surprised I have not
yet hauled him off. I glare at him. Wishing he would
get just a little closer for I am in that mood.

My porch must be miserable
Full of empty boxes
Thanks to Amazon’s daily deliveries

I had not noticed until today
But it is unbelievably noticeable
I wish the delivery men would take the empties away

My front door looks shabby
Needs a fresh paint job
But it is a mural and not easy to repaint

My car is not empty
There are three coats in the back seat
When did I become such a slob?

I would open the trunk
But I could not stand it
And the garage is already brimming with stuff

Nest week is spring break
Dare I begin purging?
I pick up a Styrofoam plate on my way to the car

And I am not yet in my car
So all of this is the three minutes
It took me to get ready for work!

Paying attention is unique
Has awaken me to my faults
I sit down behind the steering wheel, pondering my steps

Premium Member Insurging the Purging

Entered in “relevance”
Exit by consequence….

To the measure of temporary.. and unequal flaws,
While passions “unknown” court an unseizeable throne,

Ignite the cerebral and insight in emerging stages,
As the “wise” of life contends and contests,

Amid turbulent changes and far ranging rage!
On such signs ends an age...

Musical Nonsense - Purging Thoughts

Musical nonsense – purging thoughts

Songs of the heart fill the notes on the sheet
Black upon white in the fanciest lace
Strings out of tune to the places they meet
Melodies wane in the moments we trace

Choruses christened in sweet water glow
Ring through the valleys while villagers sleep
Echoes of remnants the masses did know
Following tears in the music they weep

Bass beats now driving, the wind at the wheel
Harmonic detours turn lyrics around
Lost with a map folded twice to conceal
Any direction a bridge can be found

Violins float on a cloud made of rain
Drifting through caverns much deeper it seems
Piccolos run past the chord dangled pain
Wondering what has become of their dreams

Symphonic whispers of volumes too high
Scream in the night by the light of the moon
Dancing with shadows that soon wander by
Curious why this is so out of tune

Still here I sit on a bench made of pine
Pencil in hand and a page it does greet
Playing these keys hoping but to remind
Songs of the heart fill the notes on the sheet

Don't ask me.

woman, oh woman
even after your
constant, daily
treatment of abuse
I demonstrated
I could have been
your karate kid.

In your defense
did I not impulsively
stand tall between
two warring giants
me, a whippet of a kid
arms outstretched
like sabre swords
pleading don't hurt
her....
taking blows
meant for you.

You the one that
inflicted pain 24/7
twisting the
tender skin off
my arm flesh and
leaving huge welts
that stung like
scorpion hot chilies
the umpteen mountainous
goose-egg bumps
you planted on
my tiny forehead
with knuckles
constructed of iron steel.

I demonstrated
a compassionate heart
in dreadful moments,
woman, oh woman
where was your
loving heart
standing in as mother
to an abandoned child
now trapped in a
poor, blazing hellhole.

With fresh eyes anew
...my learned enlightenment
I now understand your
sole/soul's motivation was
the almighty dollar
... hard cash that never
came through for you.

Pure and simple ...
avaricious by nature
most certainly
not nurture and,
please excuse me
while I laugh
you claim
to be a
christian!
Hmm, I say
hypocritical
and evil
to the core.

Brief phase of purging
Debris of the past rising-
Essential living.

Purging Through Poem

As my fingers punches each letter
And vandalize the blank wall
Purging what's inside, at most all bitter
The lonely journey of the bliss less soul

Why? Of all emotions
At most I choose the time of my pain
To evaporated into the clouds
And turns the season into rain

I am looking for that colorful sign of hope
But sometimes I'm getting tired
Living my life on this endless loop
Misery always transpired

But why those blind aren't quitting life's game
Hopeful and thankful to the mighty Lord
By then my eyes shattered some tiny white grains
That touches the face of my keyboard

Purging Anxiety Thru Transcendental Meditation

Temporary nirvana (albeit elusive),
nonetheless I strive to access
attaining bliss mine soul bless
exceeding exhilaration winning
(with fewest moves against

deadly opponent) bittersweet game,
where life analogous playing chess
mortality embraced hesitantly, I confess
gnarled, knotted, pitted... old fingers
wrinkled mottled flesh doth dress

unavoidable senescence
upon body politic mortality doth express,
though severely myopic,
yours truly eyewitness
self positing query,

asper meaning of life
oft times rhetorical question fathomless
lacking satisfactory resonance,
this mind strives to second guess
time spent probing haphazardness,

asper gaining insightful purposefulness...
coalesces, sans clarity when idleness
experiences Zen, albeit approximately
inducing light trance smooths jaggedness
inviting mindfulness, lucidness, keenness...

absolute zero distraction eases lamentableness
assuaging, deepening, massaging
psychological state with limitless
ascendence toward manageableness
decreasing mental din and clangor

allowing, enabling, providing...
cerebral nearsightedness
to escape into temporary nothingness,
a foretaste of eternal obliviousness
free from preponderant woes,

incessant sweaty palms, a painless
dimension unfeeling unimaginable quietness
impossible to envision raptness,
when death be not proud reiterates stillness
silencing roiling tempestuousness!

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Purging Away My Sins

May 18 Scripture Meditations Based on Psalms 79-81

Key Verse – Psalm 79:9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR PURGING AWAY MY SINS

Thank You for purging away my sins for Your name’s sake
Indeed cleansing me from defiling mistake
Including all transgressions I make
In my striving to live holy for You every time I awake.

Thank You for purging away my sins for my soul’s satisfaction
Indeed purifying me from corruption
Including idolatry-abomination
In my determination to please You with full devotion.

Thank You for purging away my sins for my faith’s strengthening
Indeed washing me from iniquities and evil’s cunning
Including errors’ staining
In my desire to do Your will without complaining.

Thank You for purging away my sins for my heart’s purity
Indeed separating me from unrighteousness’ enmity
Including worldliness’ toxicity
In my perseverance to submit to Your authority.

Thank You for purging away my sins for my conviction’s steadfastness
Indeed disinfecting me from filthiness
Including selfishness-haughtiness
In my effort to serve You with faithfulness.

Thank You for purging away my sins for my stewardship’s reward
Indeed pulling me from turning backward
Including unbelief toward backsliding downward
In my decision to ascend victoriously upward.

The Purging

Sin swept ...
another soul carried away
on the winds of self-destruction
Wrong way living,
unwise decisions made with a gilded heart
Sin loves to appear
as something other than what it truly is,
giving you a mask of illusion
so you can’t see what you really are
Choking all the charity
that was naturally formed inside of you
in the deep caverns of your life
Purging you of the ability to choose to do right
Now you’re a human robot
programmed to only do evil,
and the winds of self-annihilation begins to blow ...
chipping away at your soul
As you become less than human
more and more each day,
the devil laughs at you
All the while making you do the puppet dance
to the sinister music his pipes of hell ominously play
It’s the end of Act Three,
and the curtain is falling
You bow to the ground, to the dust ...
ready to be eaten by those vile worms of greed and lust
After the empty words of a sad eulogy have been read,
and your body cast into the dark abyss ...
Another sinner is purged from the earth,
whose evil deeds shall not be missed

Purging

I thought about vodka, I thought about sleep.
I thought of the world, laying idle at my feet.
I thought about a pick me up, I'd though to push you down.
I though about the little things I couldn’t keep around.
I thought about him and every single him before,
I wondered what I’d be like if I’d learned to hold the door.
Through silently maiming and thunderous shaking,
it rattles your bones, empties bottles worth breaking,
while killing the blame, whether giving or taking,
like uncalled out claims that I should have been staking
and burning down bridges, this mess that I'm making;
remedied, if I’d escape this constant state of waking.

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Purging My Defilement

January 27 Scripture Meditations Based on Leviticus 21-24

Key Verse – Leviticus 21:1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR PURGING MY DEFILEMENT

Thank You for purging my defilement caused by sinfulness
Which destroys me along personal weakness
Whenever I yield to instruments of unrighteousness…
Willingly now, I pursue after Your holiness.

Thank You for purging my defilement caused by haughtiness
Which mars me along ignorance and foolishness
Whenever I think highly of myself despite carnality’s unworthiness…
Worshipfully now, I submit to Your leadership’s faithfulness.

Thank You for purging my defilement caused by selfishness
Which drowns me along enticements of lustfulness
Whenever I succumb to vanities’ deceitfulness…
Wisely now, I come to Your throne of graciousness.

Thank You for purging my defilement caused by wickedness
Which tramples me along evil destructiveness
Whenever I fall to temptations’ perilousness…
Watchfully now, I depend on Your strength’s firmness.

Thank You for purging my defilement caused by worldliness
Which invites me along materialism’s nothingness
Whenever I covet earthly gains’ bountifulness…
Wearily now, I cling to Your divine care’s wealth-wellness.

Thank You for purging my defilement caused by filthiness
Which drives me along corruption’s fatal business
Whenever I immerse myself into pride’s saturating perverseness…
Winningly now, I desire You and delight in Your loving kindness.
