Best Payments Poems

Dear Ex

Dear Ex,

I know you and I had our differences.
We were always finding new ways to say I loathe you.

It was my blameworthiness that allowed the rain to enter your car,
because your window was down.
I’m sorry I didn’t carry my 9 months of pregnant girth,
down four flights of stairs, to the
outside parking deck, in the rain to roll it up.

It was my fault when the bank account was overdrawn by 6 cents,
due to paying all the bills on time.
I apologize for keeping the power turned on
so I could cook fish sticks and green bean soup on your salary.

It was my fault the car was always out of gas,
since I never drove it anywhere.
What could I do but apologize for that?
It was totally my fault. By the way, I met your supervisor.

Like when I forced you
to have an extramarital relationship with a co-worker
because of the weight I had gained.
I’m so sorry my Motherhoodness was so repulsive to you.

It also was my fault our marriage didn’t last longer than 3 years,
because I chose to be happy without you.
I do regret that almost never. Did I mention my promotion?
But let’s not be sad.

For all the hurtful comments I made about your manhood because,
I couldn’t think of anything nice to say. I’m sorry.
I regret that I didn’t save some of those photos for Ripley’s Believe it or Not.

I deeply regret having never told you I entered you in an ugly man contest.
Or that your third placement, won me an additional $5 gift card.
Did I mention my new job?

So Ex,
I hope this heart felt letter of apology
finds you prosperous and in good health.
Keep those support payments coming, and
Don’t forget to feed the kitty!

Love, your new boss

Premium Member Intenstinal Gratitude

The “forthcoming” backtracks on dilly-dallied whispers.

They place verbal down payments on layaway,
Incomplete soul mates
Running on muted slow dances

Blanketing their pain

“Oh, how I always wished for your lips against my selfless animosity”, said Nobody.

Another decrepit smile
Pandering arrogant Bible verses,
They stroke heartbeats
Made of blood diamond fallacies

Reflecting upon misery with convex eyes,
Companionship denied,
“I’m so glad you stayed”, said Somebody.

Placating vehement touch,
They ache for petulant innocence
To rock them to sleep

Lullabies venture unto unknown certainties,
Lackadaisical clef sharpens ill-fated tomorrows

They make “love” to invisible yesterdays,
Feeding off strenuous caress
Torn, silky dress
Perpetuating restraining orders in duress

Bloodied retinas blink,
Vexed

Premium Member Christmas Is Coming

It is now that time of year again when people start feeling festive
Kids write lists of pricey toys making parents feel apprehensive
Computer games and the latest phones, usually top their list
Enticing adverts on tea time television, make it harder to resist.

With rising costs many people, are struggling to make ends meet
Pricey toys parents would love to buy, but they still have to eat !
How do you explain to your kids about food banks and poverty?
In the background loan sharks lurk, rubbing their hands with glee.

Many succumb and take out loans getting heavily into debt
They purchase goods on the never- never until payments are met
All of this for just one day in the year, then months of misery
Then they try to keep the wolf from the door but fear insolvency.

So, try and explain to your kids that things may be different this year
And you don't have to be a millionaire to spread some joy and cheer
There are many ways to show your love and it won't cost you a dime
Be that shining light every day of the year and not just Christmas time.

But spare a thought for the less fortunate who are a lot worse off than you
The homeless, those caught up in wars, sadly there's nothing you can do
And as you sit down this Christmas day with your children's faces aglow
You might not realise this fact right now but you are richer than you know.

Because your family mean everything to you, they bring you so much cheer
They are more precious than silver or gold also friends you hold most dear
But remember this you're not on your own and we're all in this together
Try and look on the bright side of life and remember things will get better.

Premium Member Panders at the Zoo

The Panders have come to the Washington Zoo.
They’ve got much to say, but near none of it’s true.
Those cute little panderers, both black and white,
make appeals to the left and concede to the right.
They’ll give you down payments and not tax your tips.
Like the Bush lied to Moses and said, “Read my lips!”
They can’t help their lies or the oaths they are takin’,
Such a cute little orange one, and the cuddly Jamaican.
The border, evictions, and the free car loans of course;
I could go on for stanzas, not to beat a dead horse.
“The end of democracy!” if you don’t vote;
they’ll promise a shirt while they’re taking your coat.
Yes, the Panders have come to the Washington Zoo,
tossing nuts through the bars to me and to you.

The Poet Destroyer Vs. the Acrostic Italian: Round Eight

Putting my kisses all around your neck,
Obligates you to do the same to me.
Electrify my soul and I will be
The one whose knees will quickly hit the deck.
Destroyer, I am now a nervous wreck,
Expected to pay the ultimate fee,
Selling my soul so I can set your free
To bounce, as if you had been a bad check.
Restitution will have to be paid back,
Or I may never pleasure you again.
You can take my payments off of your rack,
Extending the time to pay for a sin.
Royalties will always be in the sack,
So that I can always secure a win.

Zinc Adulating

Abominable holiday season greeting to the have-nots me and you
Bombshell tabloid sleigh bells got those ear holes ringing
Cut the tax gift wrap ribbon, only good cheers for the wealthy few
Ducky Little Donald beaky wacky-quacky curse caroling
Ebony epithets, Latino canina lobs, Palestinian and Muslim sobs
Freeze the Access Holly Would frame, hear the locker room talk
Get smart, dummies ... Populist Idol adored by Wall Street snobs
Hate not the playa, love the con: Eraserheads don’t need no chalk
Incense of Uranium burning, napalm is pissy incendiary to touch
Jingling cash registers be jiggling twin money-makers below and above
Kiss the ring of the Don, you poor stiffs ... just don’t ask for much
Let not the blue chips, white gems and red jewels make you a begging fool
Make the payments on time, or he break your legs with loan sharky love
No Festivus is complete without the test of strength Labor Party feats
O, deary me, Hercules Putin is cancelling from the main event
Proof is compromising truth, we don’t eat no tainted Trump red meat
Questionable straight partners sexually, fake news getting bent
Risque business dealings, tiptoe thru the financial tulip inquiries
Stake your illegit claim, skim a little off the top ... fattening grifter butt
Take a little less scrutiny, a lot more thievery ... no legal worries
Ultimate year end declaration: Shed that slothful image of a Jabba Hutt
Vacant morality, rampant gluttony ... gotta do what the lust belly says
Wiggle weight-loss room is minimal, doing the right thing is optional
*** expose, another failed marriage on the way ... oh, happy dog days
Young bacon tenders is ripe for old Porky Pig, innocence is so sellable
Zinc adulating is the best White holiday blues lip service Rudy brown-nosers do

The Plight of 'Naraini' - Women of the Girmit Era

Young, gentle and in bondage
This innocent bird flew towards the promised land
Her frame petite yet powerful
Her eggs beautifully nested when transported from Calcutta

The sight of the new turf welcoming
A dream of hope and fair go brewing deep within
Day and night she laboured for payments equating to peanuts
The breadth of whips ploughed her like a bull in the harsh fields of Nadi

Her eggs now fertile
A pretentious malnourished glow adorning her face
No snug mattress at night
No baby shower

The scorching sun and the liberal rain
Her only companions to clad her in celebration
Cooked, then drenched, then burnt…
She finally delivers a dead bundle of tears

Her tragedy apparently not so sensational
Urging her overseer to order her back to the fields in four days
The memories of the dead child
Not at all dead in her head

Cold and depressed she refuses to present herself
Maternity leave a term alien on the ‘girmit’ fields
Gathering courage from ‘Durga’, she dares to speak of rights
Perhaps the very last time she spoke

The overseer, insulted and beats her near death
Lying in the fields with broken limbs and essence
Her veil the only bandage
To cover her wounds.

Look Back

And some day you'll realize
That there too is a point of no return.
A point where you'll someday come
And looking back will be a thing of the past.
There are no layaways no payments plans
To genuinely be a blessing in someone else's life.
These things can't be repaid.
Can't be debated.
These gifts of appreciation.
Life is one of the most unexplained mysteries.
In a world of simplicity.
We often shy away from the things we know will break us.
Not knowing that its the vulnerability that truly makes us beautiful.
At times we get uncomfortable.
Considering that the simplest thing is often the hardest thing.
And some day you'll realize.
That it's these precious moments.
That bring us closer to that point of no return.
Your reflection shown.
The candle of someone else's eye.
No longer afraid to look back

Premium Member It's Not Personal

It's not personal, it's business,
says the guy overcharging you.
Knowing you'll begrudgingly pay:
they keep squeezing until you're broke.

You cringe inside each time you hear:
it's not personal, it's business.
And yet, partial payments increase
the amount owed on their ledger.

With no job, you live off food banks
and grift on the street for your rent.
It's not personal, it's business;
doesn't help when your hydro gets cut.

Society's a heartless beast;
that chews up souls and spits them out.
And as life beats you down, you hear
it's not personal, it's business.

Premium Member Our Souls Are Cheap Today

Hi Soupers, For the tune to this write just copy and paste;
       La Donna E Mobile Pavarotti.
The write only follows the first part of the rigoletto, ie, the
main tune, so don’t try and make it fit the whole thing,
coz it don’t lol.
My thanks to Mr Mozart for providing the music,
and the souper whose comment sent me off into an arty
evening that went on into the wee hours, once you get on that
you tube you can’t get off it can yer, is worse than PS. lol

Our Souls are Cheap Today

Our souls are cheap today
Cheaper than yesterday
Business is poor they say
For their sins we must pay

Where did it all go wrong
Sweet turn to sour their song
One day the world is up
Next day we’ve empty cup

Soon the world turns around
Bills going up not down
Frantic to payments meet
Job seeking, worn out feet

The big boys they understand
Fate deals them a great hand
Vast riches it will bring
Hear the new song they sing

And they sing and sing and sing

Arseholes are cheap today
Cheaper than yesterday
They’ll bring profits our way
They work for much less PAY
Hip hip, hip hip, HOORAY

Premium Member The Freedom Train

Run freedom child; keep thy body low amongst the shadows,
Nay never look back, lets hastes speed excel your stride,
For the devil’s steeds ride behind thee, and they’ll show thee
No mercy, run freedom child, run, towards the distant horizon.

Travel beneath the lunar light of the lantern moon, let its
Rays of illumination guild thee, towards liberties jurisdiction,
To the northern boarders beyond slavery's killing fields.
Beware the night-stalkers whom ride by the white lightening’s
Flash and sting at the bared flesh with the task-masters lash,
Humanities wolf pack on a blood scent’s travel, biting at thy
Unsaddled heals, Run freedom child, Run, for they are a Coming!

Deep within the hollows divides listen to the whispering winds,
It echoes with a low mournful tone, a sounding’s rheum vibrating,
With a shock waves raw force of power, it is rails of freedom
Burning towards thee, Harken freedom child, and listen to the
Thunderous cries of the Underground Railroad.
A payments ticket price, is the will to survivor as a free man,
Stamped by the inner beating heart’s desire, to taste the air of
Liberation, and to soar with his winged appendages outwardly
Amongst kindred flock as equals.
Beware my friend for far above thee, two birds of prey are
At battles striking range, for your soul’s precious blood.
Behold the southern night hawk, struggles to drag thee back
To entrance of hells gates plantation, yet the great eagles
Sharpened talons are driven deeply within its crimson bleeding
Flesh of ignorance, biding thee time to flee to freedoms
Safety zone.

Run freedom child; keep thy body low amongst the shadows,
Nay never look back, lets hastes speed excel your stride,
For the devil’s steeds ride behind thee, and they’ll show thee
No mercy, run freedom child, run, towards the distant horizon.

All aboard cling to the iron handles of the freedom train,
Ride by the light of the shivery moon’s lantern of illumination,
And harken to the sounding’s echo of freedom’s distant winds,
Calling unto the souls of all men to be free, to excel, and to
Soar with the currents of equality as equals, amongst thee
Brother’s kindred.

Premium Member Burning Man That Never Ends

Never wish for an easy life
Be prepared to endure a hard one.
You don’t have to own to enjoy something
To be twice as rich, halve your expenses.

Let me tell you a mind blowing principle.
“You don’t have to own something to enjoy it”
Instead of owning a pool,
We can park at the ocean for free water play
Instead of gym membership
We can enjoy kayaking, fishing or scuba diving
Of course via small rental payments.

There is another one, shocking but worth a while
“Lack of money buys freedom”.
If you’re filthy rich, enjoy limitless freedom
A dirt poor too enjoys pretty much freedom.

Now owning nothing but freedom only
To live full potential life without restrictions
If left alone with no rules to restrict you
You create beautiful things out of the garbage.
“Waste is the best” and think of John Keats
“A thing of beauty is a joy forever”
If you get that beauty, what more do you want?

Premium Member Friendly Reminder

She said..........

You workaholic, you're intoxicated
'Seems like work is all that's on your mind
With all the extra money, you've been making
It looks like you could pay your bills on time

Now you don't have to ruin your good credit
You don't have to let it go that far
I'll wait up 'til midnight on you baby
But you can be expecting a late charge

Baby, your account is delinquent
You need to make arrangements with me
If I don't hear from you this evening
I'm gonna form a collection agency

'Just a friendly reminder from this lonely heart of mine
Your lovin', baby, is two payments behind
This is your second notice, won't you do what's right
I don't want no partial payments, I want all of you tonight

In a Perfect World

If perfect means flawless, then a Perfect World
 is flawless too.
Persons would have to be the same
Frame of mind to have a Perfect World.
So that good things may circle around,
A Perfect World should exist in Collectivism;
Sharing All Things selflessly with wisdom.
Is this perfect enough for you?

I have a trade, you have one too,
Each one complementing the other.
Like in a Jewish neighborhood -
Brother sells this, Sister that,
Get those from Auntie, Uncle paints well.
Cousin does the printing, Grandma makes
pastries,
And Neighbor sells books and magazines.

In a Perfect World, there'd be one set of Investors
Vying for the best rates for us.
Bankers would raise Interest Rates,
And offer Bonuses for our monies they invest.
Taxes would not be Garnished for silly non-payments,
And Tuition for schooling made more affordable.
There'd be no Pilot Research Studies for
non-existing disease!

But what do you believe is the idea of man's
Perfect World?
No illness but happiness and laughing with all.
Going on vacation, dwelling among sincere friends,
Great romances, healthy children, cars and a house.
Pretty flowers, waterfalls, shrubs and trees in a field.
Making a lot of money but hardly working.
Worshipping and praising the Lord without deceit.
Lord, quickly bring a flawless world for PEACE everlastingly!
