You can bleed me blind,
execute my eyes,
victimize my vision,
immolate my imagery,
nullify my name,
suppress me into silence,
slaughter my soul,
execute my ego,
slay my spirit,
veil my verses,
poison my prose,
annihilate my alliterations,
ravage my rhymes,
waste my words,
vaporize my vocabulary,
halt my heartbeats,

but you will never
pause my poetry

concerned about being upstaged
the glorious blue tinted rock
negotiated
sent in the puffy white wisps
to cover the vibrant coloured evergreens

the brown field in the foreground
felt offended
wondering out loud
"what about me?"
then added "beauty you know is..."
but never bothered to finish the cliché.

for my part
i was more interested
in what the mountain had traded the clouds
what could it possibly have offered?

Premium Member Holding Daybreak In Pause

On your mulberry canvas
I inscribed my tangerine sun
Cached behind a dark rock
When violet dawn broke

Beneath orchid clouds
Your lilac brushstrokes arose
From steel-blue ocean
As gentle winds tickled
Platinum-hued ripples

I sprinkled orange glow
Where you embossed
Shades of ruby-desire
On pink-rose magenta
Floating on purple fire

In silence we held hands
Celebrating romance
Ablaze in our own aura
That you and I sparked
Holding daybreak in pause

Hate, hate
and more hate
so much it frustrates
Don’t serve that man
or that woman
put away those plates
leave them to their own fates
loving only you and me
looking out for our own mates

America, America
a new patriotic kinda wisdom.
Dividing lines
protection and devision.
Those with less who need more
will get no provision.
Left right, left right
on a collision.
Soldiers separate
parents and children.
If they get in protect us
please place them in prison!

Jobs, jobs
more of those lesser jobs.
They’re not being filled
hear us bosses sob!
Maria and Jesus gone
who’s left to butter
our corn on the cob?
We won’t pay enough
to hire Jillian or Bob.
So now who will we rob?

Answers, answers
no one has the answer.
Politicians talk slow faster.
Hate him, hate her
they are all cowards.
If we give what we got
would that be a disaster?
We’re brothers and sisters
not their masters.
share love and peace be like a Pastor.

Judgement, judgement
yes judgement will come.
Does it matter where they’re from?
Those of us with more
could give them some.
Just because he’s poor
it doesn’t make him a bum!
Help him blossom and become
A hand up instead of under our thumb.

This is a commentary on the current division within the political arena. There is enough blame to go around on both side of the divide. There seems to be no appetite for compromise. The current and former administration separated children from parents so no one holds the high ground. If we seek what we have in common, perhaps we can start working towards a sustainable future.

Pause Between Summer and Autumn

Summer sighs ~ she pauses to gaze on days
When sunlight drips from feathery birch leaves
Whispering of growing large, ripening,
Enchantress turns maize to fields of spun gold
She sways in rhythms of pregnant harvests
Only seen in dreams of the equinox.

As white clouds gather, like storms in waiting,
She gathers new bluebirds in her warm heart
Singing with their harmonies as light fades,
Like that comma of stillness in between
Daylight and dawn, she savors this moment
Before autumn plants frost upon her blush.

Winds constant through the trees, grounding
Designer's chemtrail plans, if just for today.

Fresh air reminds me of forgotten hope, when
Dreams ran on laughter's wings, and everyone
Was free.

No speeches rang from State Fair soapboxes,
Imploring masses to wake from their slumber.

The daily grind was once more fresh-brewed,
Without even a hint of deep-underground
Military-bases.

Generations secure, water and air protected
By honest politicians, reflecting our vote.

There were no clandestine schools for crisis
Actors, false-flag disasters weren't needed
To dis-arm the people.

Tho stock markets were crashing with a familiar
Clang, trust was unwavoring, faith in our captain.

If only today, life lived in a dream, I'll savor this
Moment, to pause for peace.

A Pause Long Enough

I don't mind
if you sit
at the head of the table
I have no desire
to take your place from you
You can tell me your stories
Yes you can tell me of your many accomplishments
I will give of my ears
by listening intently
I will ask you questions
for I know how much you love to answer
We will celebrate you together
I will be interested
for I know that is what you need
All the while I am hoping
that you might wish to see
but a small part of me
That you might momentarily glimpse in my direction
That your eyes won't glaze over when I speak
I pray there might be enough air for me to breathe
Perhaps if I wait long enough
listen more intently
If I offer you more praise
Maybe you will be full enough
satiated
For then you might
look at me
Ask me what is important
read my heart
For in writing I find a pause
long enough for me to express
To answer those questions I ask of myself
The questions I wish you would ask
Yet somehow I know you won't ask
at least not now
For you do not have the inclination or desire to ask
For you do not wish to waste a single breath
on me....

Pregnant Pause

The gaps in her sentences
are always filled with insights from others
Who prompt her to speak a truth she does not ascribe to

They witter and order and claim her thoughts as their own
Changing the essence of what she feels
so that she offers saccharine lies

Seething inside she wonders at a world where reality is desecrate
the rubbing away of hard edges
Grinding her down in the process

Her pauses are all she has, reflections of herself
The gaps in her sentences
A testament to the woman she wishes to be

Pause a While Think

Pause a while think
There is a mystic
From nature
On the globe,

Like an air
It blows to life
For a reason,

Pause a while think
If you fail to live with love,
Then what is your next option?
Who taught you that isolation
Is good?
What made you descriminate,
Your fellow human being?

Pause a while think
Why is there wars on planet earth?
What leads to war?
There you see we need God(love)

Pause a while think
My dear friends
life is not defficult,
But with out love
Life is hell,
Heaven only exist
Where love dwell
Don't worry so much,
Just free your mind,
Relax your soul,
And live with love
If you disagree then
Please like a pledge
Pause a while think.

At Last We Pause

At Last we Pause
For: Robert Allen Wise
And at last we pause on dirty streets,
At somber rest with eternal peace.
A moment’s sleep on Satan's floor
With a constant dream of heaven’s door
The cry of battle has embrace its death
As vengeance draws its last breath
One good soul ascends abyss
Into the portal of eternal bliss.
A majestic voice said you may pass
A warriors shadow you have cast
The restless night that you have slain
Creates the dawn that you regain.
So dream no more of battles past
And awaken from your daunting task
This day of memory we give to you
My embattled brother with life anew.

The Pause

Stone covered with moss
Motionless in stream moaning
So wind dries the tree
The birds seek green from sky still
Haunted by rocks of dead stars

Pause

Into to the night I sway - stolen away
entering stars scattered cross a naked sky
with your beauty at my side I cried
looking into those diamond eyes
mesmerized can't help but sigh
You take me places I've never been
reaching heights ever close to the moon
I swoon to sounds of your beating heart
drape your cheek upon my chest darling
soul to soul we'll pause
and let the heavens do the rest
