O pen your heart to God
P ray
the enemy comes to kill steal and destroy, he tries to trip us up in many ways
if something was on your mind wouldn't you love to be able to push a panic button for help to
make the feelings go away, imagine this is your panic button GOD will take away all our
fears all our panic all our frustrations, when any bad feelings come just Stop and think open
heart and pray, and it wont be long before the enemy is long on his way, God is the answer
to everything all we need to do is just stop and let him help in the good times as well as the
bad. the enemy loves it when we Hungy, Angry, Lonly or Tired, God taught me today how to
stop before being brought to a Halt, satan bites the dust again, he lost I still stand strong and
firm. Amen.
I am waiting…
Should I take that leap of faith
or push the panic button?
I am pretty sure if I choose the latter
no one will even notice.
Stress has me in a suffocating breathing pattern,
taking shallow breaths in an endless polluted sky.
I am in a pool of people also searching to escape,
arms flapping to keep from going under again.
Drowing, yet not being quite sure
I want a lifeline tossed my way.
Darkness doesn’t always show up at night,
it may appear in broad daylight,
in nightmares that seem more real than reality.
What year is it? Somehow it doesn’t seem to matter.
Pain is just another symptom of fear
in a lopsided life that balance eludes.
Check mate.

A Con-man's way out
Only in cases of emergency
Like the fire axe behind the glass
Only this is more deadly
Way more sketchy
Die with the lie
A mark gets wise
Gets hip to the jive
Catches on
Smells the cheese getting stinky
Eyes shift as reality comes to light
Can't let them find out it's all a lie
Make a decision!
It's about to get hinky!
Confidence is gone and it's time to fly
Make like some titties and bounce
Only one way out!
The Toledo Panic Button!
Experienced a third bigger earthquake recently but this poem I wrote for a smaller earthquake years ago)
My first trivial tremor experience had been in Southern Africa
And now this puny earthquake I felt in Tanzania.
I saw every thing waltz to and fro and lightly shake
Bottles turned ballerinas dancing slightly to the quake
I watched glass decors on the walls quiver and jolt
Scaredy me was half asleep, no wonder didn't bolt
I thought I was dreaming or imagining things
My bed and chairs converted into gentle swings.
All vials and vases
jiggled to dance a jig
The lil horrors over
So I cast humor's wig
Ah when began rattling, the knick knacks on my dresser
Was when it dawned upon me in horror
That this was really an early dawn tremor.
I phoned some friends but those early risers
Hadn't even noticed or felt those tremors
I bet they thought I was spreading false rumours
After all poets are stereotyped as fanciful philosophers.
My cell phone keypad became my panic button in a flurry
Of course I wanted all to be alerted, alarmed in worry
Nobody believed me until it was announced in our mosque
And every body was then called by muezzin to pray the signs prayers
Then every body knew the tremor was no hoax
Some patted me for being the first to notice this shaking of earthly layers
Of course I thanked God this was no major earthquake
I've heard in other places how terribly the earth can crack and shake
Who else but God could I owe my heartfelt gratitude
For this being my 2nd low power tremor in magnitude
As it measured low on the Richter scale
based on the seismic waves' amplitude
But the earth was shaken and I too was shaken
No pics of the shivering axis were taken
Todate runs down my spine such a shiver
On recalling how the mother earth did quiver
I have seen videos of earthquakes where the earth juggles things
like a salt shaker
May God protect us from such a waker and breaker
Here's a terrifying piece of news about every mother's nightmare...
Happened in broad daylight with numerous customers everywhere...
A mother, busy festive shopping in a local retail store, was distracted for a couple of minutes...
She had her eyes and hand on her sweet little girl of 6 for all but a couple of minutes..
She turned around, panic rising but her sweet darling was nowhere to be found..
Her frantic eyes scoured all over as she desperately searched the whole floor...
Acting fast, she informed the supervisor of the store, and a alarm was sounded...
Panic button was hit and there was a security lockdown immediately effected...
Exit points were secured and free movement among the customers was curtailed...
An immediate search operation kicked in while a loving mother wallowed in despair..
For some 10 minutes it was high suspense noticeably tangible in the air...
Patrons and management alike intensified search in rising desperation..
Until a scream of exultation pierced through the tumultuous situation and turmoil...
A moment of pin dropped silence hung suspended in the air as all involuntariy recoiled...
Then a frantic throng of people rushed in haste to the wash room area....
To witness the emergence of a security lady craddling a bedraggled little girl..
The little girl was a sight, her long hair was half cropped, she was dazed...
Gone was her dainty little dress, she was in a garish pair of pants, eyebrows shaved...
There was a few seconds of shocked silence, then the mother rushed forward..
A huge roar of approval erupted and claps of elation thundered in unison...
Loving parents, do take heed for this was no figment of my imagination....
It did happen and the local daily papers headlined this episode for attention...
All it takes is some 5 minutes for a predator to lead away an innocent child...
In their evil ways, predators have endless devious means to sneak away your child...
I hope this little prose of mine is pleasant enough reading but let it be clear...
The message within is a dire warning to all parents who hold their loved ones dear...
Please be forewarned for dangers abound in the wide world out here...
Please be forearmed in order you and your loved ones are in the clear...
While on a holiday hike in the Aravalli hills in Rajasthan,
I stopped by a palatial house shining in the summer sun,
curious, through the half-closed door I entered silently
the dark front room where old furniture pile I could see.
In the eerie stillness before I could call out, “anybody in”,
behind me the heavy door suddenly closed sharply creakin’,
I pressed the panic button within the alarmed mind,
with all the doors closed the way out I couldn’t find.
As the feeling of being trapped flowed in cold sweat creepy,
I saw a faint figure walk in the hallway ominously misty,
he came in the sinister room as if floating in air all the way,
his scarred deformed face I saw before he turned it away.
As he came near I wailed scared, “I entered, I’m sorry”,
“I should go out, please help, open the door for me”.
Icy eyes looked at me, but a single word he didn’t say,
toward the door in a slow gliding stride I found him stray.
How he opened so softly the huge door I didn’t know,
I rushed outside in a heartbeat in the flood of sunglow,
I got my breath back and looked back to say “thank you”,
but the door was closed and the man was out of my view.
On my query in the nearby village about that man I was told,
I met a ghost living there, the house of the dead it was called,
for in the accidental fire that gutted the outhouse in a breath
some two years ago, the lone caretaker was burnt to death.

There is a special calm when you step upon the shore...
If the night was dark and you had only one oar.
There are times on life's lake when the storms blow and rage...
It can happen in our youth and even old in old age.
Things can be peaceful and quite then suddenly the waves appear...
And your heart becomes instantly gripped in fear.
The panic button is out of reach...
Then suddenly Jesus says, " Relax my child and let Me teach."
There is a special calm when you step upon the shore...
Especially if the night was dark and you had a broken oar.

Panic Buttons
guess what? there is no button
It comes out of the thin air
It doesn't matter "where"
I have studied the chemical reactions
that happen when the panic button is on
run
run away....."to where, where"?
and you're not thinking
you are panicking
breathe damn it
Breathe
and the more you say it to the overexcited brain
the air
is just gone.
what's wrong with you? Pull yourself together
shoot, did you try "yoga".
ugh.
Little do they know that I do
know!
the whole body systems reacts
to danger
"real" or not.
Say you live in a world where you never feel safe
Say your nights were about "Should I feel afraid tonight"
Say your life has always been this scenario.
Panic.
Don't wonder "why"?
Don't ask me "why"?
It is a lifetime story. Tell me?
Do you have the time?

"I am my own strategist,"
Our President proudly said
Pushing the Panic Button
Poignantly painted RED
"The mother of all bombs
Will fill Putin with dread
Assad will be so grateful
I chose Afghans instead
Let North Korea tremble
Their many left unfed
Will shortly have no worries
Because they'll all be dead
I am my own strategist
I see the way ahead
Our nation will be great again
Just like I always said!"
While on a tour across the moor of the Scottish highland,
one summer noon I stopped by a grand Victorian house.
Curious, I entered silently through the half-closed door,
in the half-dark room a pile of antiques I could see .
In the eerie stillness before I could call out, “anybody in”,
the creaking wooden door closed sharply behind me.
In the alarmed mind I pressed the panic button within,
for with all the doors closed the way out I couldn’t find.
As I shivered with the creepy feeling of being trapped,
saw a faint figure approach through the misty hallway,
as if floating on thin air he came into the sinister room,
I saw his scalded deformed face before he turned it away.
As he came near I wailed scared, “please open the door”,
Icy eyes looked at me, but a single word he didn’t utter.
How he opened so softly the heavy door I didn’t know,
I rushed out in a breath outside in the flood of sunlight.
In nearby village I queried about the man living in that house,
nobody saw any hint of life coming from the house of the dead,
for in the outhouse fire that took a very long time to dowse,
the lone caretaker was burnt to death some two years ago.

Voices
angry voices saying words that could doom the people,
playing with the hint of an apocalypse like name calling at school.
I will shoot down your planes if you say that about me again.
You know you can’t do anything without the annihilation of everyone.
a cacophony of phrases causing a growing hysteria
like a virus spreading throughout the world
thunderous bellows, nasty tweets, slanderous remarks, hollow threats
a kaleidoscope of insults bringing the end closer
how can only two mortal men have that much power, or do they?
where is the voice of the generation from the mushroom clouds?
stopping fast at the brink of disaster by words
from the mouths of such that must be controlled
the desire to push the panic button has spiraled skyward
bringing us nearer to the neck of the nuke than ever before
using devices, anywhere, would be too chaotic to imagine
Hiroshima 12 kilotons, today, megatons
pray for the leaders
angry voices need to be silenced so that peace is perpetual

Election called to hurry up Brexit
It's like a fire alarm for a speedy exit
Panic button pressed or what?
Many people fed up with the lot!
Maybe a coffee will help the stress
Don't get hooked, baristas will be less
Proud nations heading for divorce
Bullying action now coming into force
All we want is a better life
Not Listening to bad news and strife
So listen hear politician
There seems to be something you are
missing
Good old honesty and Integrity oh no!
We won't see that in your Manifesto!
