Stress has me in a suffocating breathing pattern, taking shallow breaths in an endless polluted sky. I am in a pool of people also searching to escape, arms flapping to keep from going under again. Drowing, yet not being quite sure I want a lifeline tossed my way. Darkness doesn’t always show up at night, it may appear in broad daylight, in nightmares that seem more real than reality.
