Best On Top Of That Poems

On Top of That Mountain

On top of this mountain, I stand to proclaim,
That Jesus Christ our Savior died for our sins, He reaped all the blame.
On top of this mountain, I have to look up,
And think of His disciples on that last supper, as they sipped from His cup.

On top of this mountain, you can feel the anxiety as He knows His time has drawn near,
On top of this mountain, I see Him being led away by the soldiers and the outcome is
painted quite clear.
On top of this mountain, I see Him tried, sentenced, and abused,
On top of this mountain, I see Him brutalized, beaten and so wrongfully accused.

On top of this mountain, I see Cavalry and the crowd gathering round,
On top of this mountain, I hear the ringing of the hammer as it makes such a sickening sound.
On top of this mountain, I see three crosses raised to the air,
On top of this mountain, I see my Savior and He is covered with blood everywhere.

On top of this mountain, I hear the words our dear Savior spoke on that last day,
On top of this mountain, I heard Him ask His Father to forgive us, the last thing I heard
Him say.
On top of that mountain, the deed was finally done,
On top of that mountain, God showed us His love, the greatest sacrifice ever, His only Son.

Fall Harder

Three letters.
Three notes
So full of honesty
That I nearly choked on the strength of them
While I was pouring them
Onto those clean sheets of paper.
I love the number three;
I think I may have mentioned that,
At some point or another,
Though I can’t remember for sure.
Things have been like that a lot recently.
I keep finding that the little memories
Are slowly slipping away from me.
You’d think I would mind:
You’d think I’d object to losing
A second with you,
Even if the seconds I’m losing
Are ones already spent in your company.
I don’t, though.
I’ve found that I don’t care
If I forget some tiny details,
Because I remember the emotions.
I remember how it feels
To be curled up against your side,
Even if I can’t remember our conversation.
On top of that, I’m fine with replacing
The old memories with new ones-
Each sweeter than the last.
I’ve never been one of those people
Who puts everything into a relationship.
I’m always too afraid
To fall as hard as I’m ought to
Into arms that might not care
As much as they pretend to.
With you, though, with you
I can’t help but give up everything,
Can’t help but give you my entire being
And every mistake and heartbreak
That I’ve accumulated over the years-
As well as a lifetime of pent-up love
That now I bestow on you.

The Way She Love Me

SHE SO BEAUTIFUL AND UNIQUE IN ALL HER FEATURES INCLUDING ME, CAUSE HER LOVE IS STRONGER THAN SAMPSON, POWERFULLY, EXPRESSING HER SPIRITUAL CONTRIBUTIONS, ON TOP OF THAT SHE WET MY LIFE UP WITH COMPASSIONATE RESTITUTIONS, THAT PAINT MEMORABLE PICTURES DILATING CONSEQUENCES THAT WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED. CAUSE THESE SPECIAL EVENTS ARE TREASURED WITHOUT WORLDLY SUSPENSE AND CONTRADICTIONS. TOO TELL YOU THE TRUTH, EVERYTHING ELSE IS IRRELEVANT CAUSE SHE SO ELEGANT AND SUBMISSIVE. I'M SO DEEPLY IN LOVE WITH HER WITHOUT HER PRESENCE I'M EXSTINCTIVE, CAUSE THE WAY SHE LOVE ME IS A REAL DREAM LIVED REAL PLUS REMARKABLE AND CONSISTENT...

Me and My Mechanic

Me and my mechanic,
we be tight
Whenever my ride goes down,
he get it running right
My mechanic is a real auto pro,
when I send my car to him,
nowhere else do I need go
And on top of that,
he works with your checkbook,
he's very affordable
If you don't have a mechanic like mine,
when your car stops running, you're gonna be
reaching deep in your pockets every time
Paying for this, paying for that
Paying til you're down to your last dime,
and you're broke and have to walk
I suggest you walk right on over
to this good mechanic of mine,
he'll get your car back running fine ...
and leave some money in your pocket too
Saving you some leather on the bottom of your shoe

Premium Member The Winter Storm

Pelting glass, coming down;
how it thickens, on the ground.
On the window pane; tap…tap;
larger ice, now, it will rap.

The misery of a sleeting storm;
brings misery and forlorn.
Two inches of ice, is not so nice;
I dread what we will get tonight.

On top of that, there’ll be more snow,
I dread to go out there and blow.
The snow piles high, upon the ice;
one snow blower will not suffice.

But, I’ll make do; with one machine;
Still, there’ll be that icy sheen!

Enjoy Your Youth

In school these days
they teach about
sex education
but perhaps

they should teach
about work
when my son
was a baby

he woke every two hours
doctors said he had colic
time and time again overnight
we got up feed him changed him

and went without sleep
I can't imagine
how hard it is on a girl
to bring up a baby by herself

night after sleepless night
we became exhausted
I can't imagine how
a young girl on her own would cope

then on top of that
she can't go out
the baby won't
disappear for the night

every night day after day
that child will be there
wanting and needing your love
everyday without a break

granted the bond is special
and I loved bringing up my son
but perhaps we should
talk about the work required

the loss of social life
that most teenagers enjoy
having a child will wait
enjoying your youth will not.

Teenage Love 6: the Engagement and the Marriage

Both of the young lovebirds who have been dating since middle school and high school will
have finally made it to the altar, and after a long-term engagement. Both lovebirds are
very excited about getting married. First, these two former teenage lovebirds will have
gotten engaged after a guy, who used to be a teen boy asked a woman, who was a teen girl,
to have married him. And before these two make it to the alter, then both young lovebirds
will have to make it throughout the engagement without ever cheating on each other and
stuff. It seems that a young man and a young woman have dreamed that they'd make it to the
wedding of their awesome dreams, which is now called, "the final frontier;" a famous quote
from "Star Trek." It also seems that once these two lovebirds have tied the knot after
saying the words, "I do," there's no turning back. There's also no way out of the
marriage, unless it ends in a divorce. This fairy tale story now has a happy romantic
ending for this loving couple who met in elementary school, middle school, and/or high
school, and pretty soon, there's going to be a happy ending for all would-be young
lovebirds, too. Everybody's talking about getting married since the day they started going
to school, especially what their dream weddings will have looked like. I find this type of
love very interesting. On top of that and as for this loving married couple who were once
teenagers when they fell in love with each other, they're going to tell each other three
words: "I love you." It also looks like that day in and day out, week after week, and
every day for the rest of their lives, they're going to stand by each other until the day
they pass on. It's just like the saying goes, "love conquers all," which means that all
marital relationships will never be broken. And if this type of love keeps growing and
growing and this ends up in marriage in the near future, these two love birds (a man and a
woman), their friends, and their family members will be ready for it. they'll all be ready
for the future of all lovebirds.

Dancin' At the Wagon Wheel

My ol' memory is hazy
And sometimes things don't seem too real;
But I can still recall the night
That I danced at the Wagon Wheel.

Well, seems I was in a good mood
And was puttin' on quite a show;
Prancin' on top of that slick bar
And yellin' like a crazy crow!

I wore my new black Hoppy shirt
And a pair of Gene Autry boots--
They say I danced till 'bout midnight
And did all them ol' cowboy scoots.

Then outside that saloon window
Comin' in was a gent in black;
They said he was that bogey man--
Since that night I never been back.

So ends my honky-tonk story;
Like Red says: "It's saucered and blowed"--
I never danced for drunks again
Like back when I was four years old.

Don'T Let It Go To Your Head By Fefe Dobson and Jordin Sparks

The hit single, "Don't Let It Go To Your Head," is the best song all music fans have ever heard. It was performed by Fefe Dobson and Jordin Sparks. this song is so amazing, so rad, it's like being in this "end-of-a-serious-relationship" situation and this whole "beginning-of-a-real-serious-relationship" type of deal. And on top of that, it's like being in a romantic comedy-drama film set in New York City. Listening to " Don't Let It Go To Your Head" is like going to a rock music festival in New York City, Phoenix, Arizona, and Toronto, Ontario, Canada. That song is so cool, I wish it was heard on an episode of "Degrassi: The Next Generation" on Teen-Nick (formerly The-N). "Don't Let It go To Your Head" by Fefe Dobson and Jordin Sparks is considered the end-of-a-longtime-relationship song, especially when a guy or a girl decides to break up with his girlfriend or her boyfriend. I've seen the music video made by Fefe Dobson, but not the music video of the same song by Jordin Sparks as of yet. It seems that Ms. Sparks and Ms. Dobson have outdone themselves. What's so great about the song, "Don't Let It go to your Head," is that of its different instrumentals, but with the same lyrics. How interesting is that? Well, the hit single "Don't Let It go to your Head" really should've been heard on an episode of "Radio Free Roscoe." Boy, if Fefe Dobson's then-second album, Sunday Love, had been released, I would've bought the CD, and since Jordin Sparks' second album, Battlefield is out, I'll go get it and buy it. I wonder if the "Don't Let It Go To Your Head " song will have been featured on the soundtracks to my would-be short stories-turned-possible-interracial romance films? Very good question. And if "Don't Let It Go To Your Head" by Fefe Dobspon and Jordin Sparks was to be featured on the "Rock Band" video game and it was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, that would be very awesome.

Premium Member Mister Quick Fix

They call me Mr. Quick Fix.
I’m everywhere, in every school.
Over 400,000 of me in classrooms across the country.
Yet there’s minimal data on my effectiveness.
For this reason, among others, some call me Mr. Quagmire.
Here I am, the “least qualified, lowest paid” providing the “bulk of instruction.”
On top of that, I am rarely supervised, barely trained, and minimally vetted
While at the same time considered the “first, primary, and…only support response” for the student .
My student’s father calls me Mr. Godsend.
Distrusting of the school staff, I am his child’s protector
From any negative judgement bestowed upon the child by peer or adult.
The direct pipeline of communication often goes through me,
Not the head teacher, who sometimes refers to me as Mr. Why Didn’t You Tell Us That Earlier?
Some even call me Mr. Anything. Or Mr. Wing-It.
One day I may work with small groups beyond my assigned student.
Other days I’m creating lesson plans with no oversight.
I try not to question these practices, or lack of policy and procedures with regards to my role.
Everyday is a bit of chaos, and I’m just trying to make it a doable day like everyone else,
Helping wherever I can, however I can.
That’s my job, right? Right?

Childhood Memories

Preserving Childhood memories

Those years are like dusty boxes of old books
Each book classify as a quantum leap for me.
My first steps that led to many things,
I kept thinking of my small bottle of goat’s milk
Flavored with Grenada nutmeg to tone down the taste:
Perhaps after my father saw the look of disgust on my small face,
After my first tastes, in comparison to the cow’s milk
Lactose intolerance was the key word in those days.
Little did anyone knew of it…then..
Which was worse the cod liver oil, on Sunday Morning?
Or the nauseating feeling, of the repeats of the oil in one’s mouth
1950s hardly a child escaped mumps, measles, whooping cough or chicken pox.
Childhood disease was most feared, especially amongst the poorest.
So the old folks did whatever, it took to protect us ..
I was always searching, for my next chapter, as soon as I was out of
The danger zone to record, one line at a time
to the simplest things such as choosing the
Best pebbles, the loudest night crickets, to the most
Beautiful butterfly for my collections:
I think I had mention this before once I caught a snarky bird
And try to cage, the poor thing, until my grandmother beg of me
To let it go free, freedom for him was a squeak of happiness,
I could be wrong, but I think the bird return a favor to our household…
There he was picking away at the bananas on the kitchen counter,
Perhaps he saw the danger, that windy morning
A nearby kitchen towel was left to close to the burning stove,
Freedom for him was a squeak of happiness for us on that day
I must indeed say:
Preserving my childhood memories,
not only came from on top of that Hill
But from what that bird taught me,
About a kitchen window that opened with a slight squeak"
freedom

Fight For Your Love and Rights

living in the flame
rideing on top of that tidal wave
the invisible waves, rushing through
the saltless hot beachy sand
Looking ahead as i saw that beautiful squeaky flippin dolphin
stars spinning ahead, darkeness rushing in the tideless
freedom land
once again im with nature the water is my tears
when i accidently let go of my hope .
like a sailboat i sank .
thunder of volts in my eyes you shall see
bright lightning gets brighter in theat muscial sky .
o nothing butthe wood wind chimes with the angels singing
you can hear it peacefully if you sat back down
turned your mirror facing you back around.
face to face woth my own self.
i looked deeply inside this time
thanks heavenslittle dragonfly;s that this second spent
i took ot to heart .
i saw who i finally was meant to be ,
beautiful the insight as i rose to my feet .
rember the wood windchimes in the wind ,
they always bring you back to your own crazy foolish mind
sometimes it gets erased by time.
every now and then you have to get up and try to fight for your rights in this flameing hell i call earth .
it can take away your heart
the creatures in it they try to pull you away from your own self .
turn the page , look deeper dont ley anyone get to close to your heart so they can stab it deeper , protect your love .
flameing candle burning in the moonlight god sent my baby angel back to her nest we can finally rest. God has our place here. Overcoming hope is what makes you stronger for gods next battle belive stay humble

Real Life

Now this poem right here is going to change a man/
This is going to stretch out like elastic bands/
From Dallas to Indiana to Alaska man/
This is going to go down in black history man/

See we rap about guns violence and sex tapes/
Older brother’s that take young girls and still rape/
What happen to our pride and our self-esteem/
What happen to our passion and our wildest dreams/
What ever it was, it was down right sorry/
We rather postpone leadership to buy a Ferrari/
And a lot of our young girls are wearing make-up/
And a lot of our young brothers sell drugs to purchase
Jacobs/
And that’s the same fellow who forgot his latex/
Now his girl got AIDS and not mention she pregnant/
Now her brother is mad and he’s ready to cap (shoot) him/
But that’s why I’m here for, for words of inspiration/

Now the girl is doing fine but she had sex before marriage/
But the baby couldn’t make it so she had a miscarriage/
Now she so depressed, she’s headed for drugs from needles,
To crack pipes trying to find that love/
All in the wrong places the devil in different faces/
She’s stripping at strip clubs, for tips so she can make it/
And the brother who got her pregnant he’s just sitting back and
Laughing and/
Got gassed (shot) a couple weeks ago for drug trafficking/
Yeah, see he paid the price/
Took God’s gift for granted the gift of life/

Now getting back to the girl she’s happy her man gone/
She used to be dark skin, but he beat her bad, now she’s
Redbone/
Her hair’s grown/
Back from wearing he use to snatch it out/
And on top of that kicked her out her own house/
So she had enough one day/
And pulled out his AK (gun)/
And said “The day you touch me again, you’ll die the same day”/
But that was before he died, and she’s making it now and/
Got her master’s degree and she’s making a hundred thousand/
Dollars each year, and daily she prays/
Pays five grand on medicine because she still has AIDS/
And I wish the poem could end, but it’s sad to say/
Of what happen to this girl still goes on and happens today/

Stay Strong

1/20/23

Continually facing struggles
Remaining puzzled
Going too hard straining muscles
Punks always out making trouble
Many in labs out to clone, attempts at creating doubles

So many shell-shocked
Others being fools while well off
Too many people quick to tell lots
They either say truth or sell crock

Had to change this
Less of the same
It took an occasional lane switch
Problems incoming, I took on and faced quick
Regardless if you understand the main gist
A lot of phenomenon and this world can't explain it
Don't be an ignoramus
It's not conspiracy or about getting famous
Why do continual acts occur that are heinous
Times were very far from the greatest
I was headed towards the grave if
I didn't get wiser and become one of the bravest
It's been difficult on a daily basis
I need to jump into a lake
Take a break
Gosh dangit

A heart of gold or soul cold like polar ice
To this day, so much is overhyped
And overpriced
Just not the same as prototypes
On top of that we got all these socialites
It never has been so polite
When it came to voting rights
