Drawing Boundaries

All newborns move from womb to crib;
and toddlers leave the floor to play in yards.
Most youngsters go from home to school,
learning a new milieu some with ease.

Our kids both young and old contend with space.
While teens assemble, needing gangs and groups,
our college students age as they leave home.
The forest’s edge expands with chills and thrills.

Advancing purlieu dawns on us
the outskirts of our lives change over time.
The empty nest can normalize our lives
as we accept each demarcation line.

With marriage, having children need not stunt
our passage if we've learned our lessons well.
We welcome flux and look forward to tomorrow.
Grandkids will start the cycle anew.

Agendas set; when of necessity
we must retreat, forest calls us back,
we think goodbye, adieu slowed our bearings down.

In lieu of serving others, we now dread
being waited-on by younger souls
who'll take their mental notes. An empty nest
just helps pull the curtains on our clock and stage.

Synthetic Stimuli Surfacing

Food for thought!...today~some Quantum physicists believe we live in a holographic universe...with multi-dimensional realities living side by side...and these multiverses only exist if observed upon...

Spurious spatiotemporal spacious synthetic skies

Contrarious curious conundrums critically compromise

Mysterious matter melding metamorphically mystifies

Nefarious neurological nilpotent neurons normalize

Insidious idealized information instructions immunize

Hilarious holographic hallucinogens hyperactively hypnotize

Various vector voids vivaciously vaporize

Delirious denurulizing defragments deceivingly digitize

The Boatmans Song 2

The Boatman’s Song 2/ Many

Urvashi’s heart was aching to hear and to see the elegance
Of the boatman, while he sing those melodies on earth
A great longing started sprouting in her bosom
To visit the earth and to listen those heart touching songs
Which like a powerful magnet were pulling her towards earth
Where flows the Ganges and lives her unseen love

To control her ever increasing desire of hearing those songs
And to see that unique boatman, who lives on earth
Urveshi tried to engage her more and more
In the courtly dances and engagements for Indra
But the more she wanted to escape, more she became enchanted
By the echoes of boatman’s songs
Which were tearing her heart and
Making her mind almost intoxicated,
By the melodies of those heavenly songs

The pleasures and comforts of heaven began to pinch her
Like the piercing thorns
Even the dance and music, which were her pride and passion
Became dull and charm less in the wake of those songs
For which she was hailed
As the best among all the Apsaras in the entire universe

Heaven seems to bring no joy and rejoicing for her any more
Her dancing steps, which were the symbols of perfection and beauty
Even started betraying her
As her own heart was no longer in her possession any more
And she found that her mind and heart
Were swept away by that unseen boatman
Sailing his boat somewhere on earth

Apsara Urveshi after finishing her dance that day
Told the God of heaven, Indra
That she perhaps can no longer perform any dance
Owing to agonies of her heart and restlessness of her mind
And her legs were not in tune with her mind to perform
A flawless dance and song by which she had captured the
Hearts of all Gods and Goddess, what to say of humans on earth

She thought and thought and found that she can only normalize
If she can hear the songs of the boatman
Singing in full throated ease on earth
The echo’s of which were hovering in her mind like clouds
And twisting her heart to see that singer sublime

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Empathetic Light

Empathetic Light

Lady Diana, the exquisite Princess of Wales.
A heroine now in hundreds of tales.

An accomplished pianist at Buckingham Palace.
A hopeful ballerina, a kindergarten teacher.

A radiant young woman who loved to dance,
A royal young activist.

A humanitarian princess with courage, not discouraged.
A demure beauty, dedicated to duty.

To replace fear with compassion, she modeled for the world charitable actions.

"Hold my hand, I’m not afraid”
whispering to a man who suffered with AIDS.

Her hugging and empathy never ceasing, her tender love always increasing.

A hospital president for sick children, her mission.

Cautiously walking through land mines, one scary step at a time.
Explosives in the ground, she showed their purpose no longer found.

Her little princes, one on each arm.
William and Harry adored their mum.
To normalize life at times,
Disney rides, McDonald’s fries…

Paparazzi hunted her for years, bringing danger and tears.

The most photographed woman in the world.
A wedding dress of 10,000 pearls
An elegant, humble golden girl.

One evening a tragic trip through a Paris tunnel.
Drive faster,
speed up,
turn them off
put them down
stop clicking
turn around.

Then a horrific shame, who was to blame?
Indescribable loss at a human cost.

God wanted her back in 1997.
The Princess Of Wales, was our present from heaven.

They say a billion mourned. The world’s hearts truly torn.

Memories of mummy nobody could take.
Two royal sons, their hearts did break.
Now fathers with children to love, new charities to support and take care of.

I miss her now and missed her then.
Your sister, my mother, her nanny, my friend.
She changed the world for nations until her end.

The lives she touched were made healthier and bright by
Lady Diana's empathetic light.

"I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Three Christian Churches here used to play
Their hymns rang out along the way
They took turns with their chimes each day
Never overlapped come what may

How I miss those sweet bells of old
They rang out through warm, hot and cold
Their songs of love, peace, joy were told
Before our world its soul to evil sold

Those hymns at Christmas time so dear
And carols ringing so strong and clear
On each street corner there was no fear
No illegal drugs around this small town here

Could this world normalize again
People spread out and grow some hens
Have some goats, ducks, and a weathervane
To go into town maybe catch a train

While 'pon that ride the bells ring out
Now that is what I'm talking about
Places where love can be planted and sprout
Those days can be good without a doubt

A New Year

In the liquid ebony stillness
another year melts
into the nights skies
The past year seems but
just an illusion now
When the universe smiles
upon us as it once again sighs
Allowing old thoughts to
become impressions reminiscent
of past echoes replies
Holding onto hope of a
possible brighter tomorrow
to be realized
Another decade of lessons
to experience while again
awaiting for life to normalize

Premium Member Nineteen Twenties and Flappers

Fringe on edge of a dancing flapper’s skirt
Provocative and playful, enticing and tantalizing
Encouraging other women
To dare be more modern,

Bob their head, dance in public
Changing the world
One woman at a time
Who is willing to normalize bawdy

Usually found in the bigger cities
Two or three years
Before they arrive in the small towns
Maybe never arriving in the Bible belt at all.

Premium Member The Living God

I am serving the living God
A God like no other
The Creator of the universe
Omnipresent
Omniscient
The beginning and the end
God who says what He means
And means what He says

I am serving the living God
A God who never lies
A God that loves unconditionally
A covenant keeping God
The same yesterday
Today and forever

I am serving the living God
The God of Abraham
The God of Isaac
The God of Jacob
The God of Elijah
The God of Elisha
The God of TB Joshua

I am serving the living God
That delivered Daniel from the lion’s den
Delivered Shedrach Meschac
And Abednego
From blazing fire
Delivered Israelites
From rampaging Egyptian Army
He made Joseph great in a foreign land

I am serving the mighty God
 The greatest healer
There is no sickness He cannot heal
 No burden He cannot bear
 No mountain He cannot level
 No situation He cannot normalize

I am serving the living God
 That gave His only son
To die for me on the cross
 To make Easter meaningful

Premium Member Audible Sighs

a setting sun
ends its run
the day's done,
darkness won
night's begun
everyone
but my son
leaves one by one.

gazing up at night's starry skies
through a five-year-old's eyes,
he starts to fantasize
for stars look like fireflies,
and watching the moon rise
triggers audible sighs
for as things normalize;
shooting stars renew his surprise.

Premium Member We Can't Normalize Gun Violence

How many times must we amend
The gruesome news of death again?
What venue will Fate next abase,
some hapless, unsuspecting place?
Such acts still shake us to the core -
These senseless slaughters some ignore.
We're told that guns bought "legally"
Are nothing to condemn, you see.
Just guiltless children lying dead,
A tragic scene - their parents' dread.
While in the rooms with blood-stained walls
Lay books unread, deprived from all.

One answer was a thoughtless call:
Guns unrestrained with guns for all!
This stance - such unimagined gall -
Suggests the price is protocol.

Coffin for one - coffins for all;
Of no concern - this awful pall?
What's caused a Right we've held so long
To become tarnished by these wrongs?
Without true insight to reflect,
Without true foresight to correct,
Without true courage to stand tall
Elected "leaders" shift and stall.
Playing the odds in their careers
Have they now closed their eyes and ears?
For "pols" who acquiesce this mess
Their "jobs" should pass to someone else.

The case for change is nothing new -
Will common sense and reason do?
If change won't come then who's to blame?
Ourselves - for sure - and that's the shame.

Now, silenced victims must be heard -
Yes, they should have the final word!

Premium Member Sneak Preview of the 'Big Debate'

    My opponent will destroy democracy
But my opponent will normalize hypocrisy

My opponent pays hush money to whores
Well, my opponent snoozes in meetings and snores

My opponent’s in cahoots with radical progressives
But my opponent’s tax cuts are regressive

My opponent is in bed with Putin
Well, my opponent for Iran is rootin’

My opponent’s spending will stoke inflation
But my opponent’s plans will increase starvation

    Enough! Stop! Cut! Halt!
It’s not all the other guy’s fault

All this negativity makes one thing clear
I’m voting for the first candidate I can cheer

Follow Him

What used to seem so far fetched we titanicly now don't avoid
The Words of Scripture etched of how many will be destroyed
A choice that they willfully made not seeing it's very approach
You weren't ever betrayed but allowed the enemy to encroach

Perhaps a time of refrain as we normalize our continual slide
Like just before the rain when all on Earth but eight had died
No real need to worry or to even just take a good look around
Their own soul they'll bury unable to see such unstable ground

Hating a God who loves you so that you're bigger than you are
Look around at HIS Glorious show, the knowing of every star
And then there's what you have done with His every single gift
But without the protection of His Son satan will soon easily sift

If a little child approaches a flame and you choose not to warn
Then you are the one to blame and will also share in the scorn
I choose not to be of such as now I am loudly speaking out
Many are out of touch thinking alone they can win this bout

John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Nobody Told Me There'D Be Days Like These

What seems to be calm and coming back into focus
Can be found in a Psalm as part of satan's hocus pocus
As things seem to normalize and people let down their guard
Many are in for a big surprise as satan uses his last card

For long have they slept and even still they are not awake
For so deep has sin crept that it is still the Lord that they forsake
It is just as Jesus said in all of the words that He ever spoke
The dead will remain dead for it is they who still haven't woke

Now is the time to prepare, the time to seek His Grace
To become more aware in the recognizing of His Face
To begin to see His Hand in the understanding of His Way
In knowing how He blessed this land and you every single day

Do not be left behind for the Lord has called you out of there
His Word in your mind there will be nothing that you can't bare
That is why Jesus died for you cannot do it on your own
"oh how the wicked cried in seeing the seeds that they sown"
