Here One Minute, Gone the Next

~
Here one minute, gone the next
Life is everything it seems
Live each moment like your last
Never give up on your dreams

Wake each day to something new
Offer up a helping hand
Smile at a perfect stranger
Help a weary one to stand

Count your blessings one and all
Find the joy in every day
Best foot forward with each step
Show the world you’re on your way

Actions have their consequences
Think of others it affects
Time is short and always moving
Here one minute, gone the next

When all the lines you crossed but didn't see
Grow darker by the day upon your face
Your rosy blush of youth has been erased
And cheeks are drawn where dimples used to be

Your train of thought fueled by a memory
Runs tracks of time that don't lead anyplace
The stops along the way will be retraced
Then one day it will stop in front of me

I'd like to think the pause will bring a smile
Your heather colored eyes would brightly bloom
Your heart would beat the rhythm of a rhyme
You'd disembark and stay a little while

And when you blink I'll be back in the moon
The smile so warm it lasts until next time

“Next Chapter”

There will always be a next chapter
Written or not, this is of no matter
What matters is the colour forming in your world

Black is not a colour, it dominates, shades and swallows other colours up,
It exists to be blended with White, a vacant aberration one can easily fill in and colour over
What one is looking for is the colour in the spectrum, not yet found
To be newly created with all available emotions to hand and heart and mind

There will always be a next chapter
Written or not, this is of no matter
What matters is the colour forming in your world

Beginning
End? there never is an end

What matters is the colour forming in your world

Generation Next

Babies are gems and diamonds,
Babies are pure right through,
Babies are such little angels,
Especially when smiling with you,

Bouncing babies are such a charm,
For them we want no harm,
Baby need milk, cry up a storm,
Burp,tummy full,so cuddly and warm,

Babies will learn from me,
Babies will learn from you,
Remember,they are the next generation,
So teach them the right things to do.....

Premium Member The Goat That Lives Next Door

Hello my friend, good day to you; I see you got my note
It's time we had a face to face about that crazy goat!

He made a mess, broke in my barn; ate up my buds and cans
And when I tried to chase him out, he kicked my bloomin' fan

Now see here Mr. Farmin' Man, I know you from way back
But if you don't restrain that goat - I'll stretch his scrawny neck!

Me and that goat been fightin' long; he thinks he won this time
So I'll show him today for sure that I'm still in my prime

That goat won't get the better of me; I'll trap him with some hay
I'll lay a path straight to the barn and lead him in that way

Oh darn! He's smarter than I thought, he ate up to the door
He stopped and turned then shook his tail like he don't want no more

Aww shucks - there's got to be a way to trap that crazy goat
He's found new ways into my barn - I'll send another note

This time though Mr. Farmin' Man, I will not shout and wail
I'm goin to git the Sheriff now and throw that goat in jail!

If In Our Next Life

Co-wrote by "Mi Amante Alma" - Middle Verse

If we are both single when we are 30,
then lets go for a dance, a drink, and a late night walk
and see where things go.
Let the passion lead us.
Our souls will bring us where we must go this walk of life.
And if I never lie within your arms,
and this life leaves us only scorned,
wondering what could have happened - if only.
Then swear in the next life we will find each other.

                   ~

If In our next life we meet again
I'll burn a memory into my mind
to not let you go again
if I become a rich man
I'll spend every last cent to find you
if I were given a year till my death
I'll search till my last breath to find you
and tell you I loved you since life began
and if I never find you in our next life
my only regret will be that I never loved you
the way my heart wanted to

                    ~

If in our next life, I find that I am alone,
I will wish on the stars, wish on my heart,
wish for you on my soul.
If I am born poor, and I have nothing to live for,
my dreams of you will keep me going.
I will sing I will pray I will look everyday
and if you even walk by, I will know you by chance,
take your hand, and you will see it in my eyes.
If in our next life.

Premium Member Next Christmas It Will Be So So Different

Another Christmas day is finally here
The very thought fills me with such fear
I have to try and control my old Aunty Mable
Once she hits the gin she gets very unstable

Uncle Arthur rushes in and opens the sherry
then sups half the bottle and gets really merry
He begins to sing carols at the top of his voice
I put up with the din… I don’t have much choice!

The last to arrive are old Gladys and Bert
Bert always wears his distasteful Santa shirt
Gladys walks through the door and starts to moan
I wish Bert would leave the old cow at home!

She whines from the moment she removes her coat
And heads for the sofa and grabs the remote
Demanding she has her dinner on her knee -
There’s some crap on the TV that she wants to see

I politely tell Gladys the dinner table is set
And the film will be repeated of that you can bet
So she sits at the table and picks at her starter
then moans very loudly to poor Uncle Arthur

The table’s soon laden with wonderful food
But Gladys is seething, she’s so blinking rude
She says the turkey’s tasteless and it's bone dry
So I pass her the gravy and I try not to cry

Bert finishes the bowl of chestnuts and sprouts
He’ll be passing foul wind in copious amounts
After rich figgy pud he crams in six mince pies …
It’s no wonder he’s gross with huge wobbly thighs

They descend on me each and every year
And eat all my food my wine and my beer
Then we open the gifts that lie under the tree
As per usual they bring just one present for me

Gladys has knitted me a horrendous jumper
it's two sizes too large, I just want to thump her
I dutifully put in on and I feign my delight …
but it will be in the rubbish bin later tonight!

At three we watch The Queen on the telly
Bert’s farting begins; the room gets so smelly
Within minute’s they’re snoring away in their chair
I retreat to the kitchen and silently swear

By the time they wake up all the dishes are done
The doorbell rings; thank god their taxi has come!
This is the LAST time they'll take advantage of me …
Cos I've booked a yule cruise on the Caribbean sea!

"Judas Kiss"

A long, long time ago .....

Jesus was betrayed with a kiss of Judas
Deceit, lies and betrayal

                            "Frog Kiss"

                  In fairy tales .....

In the fairytale prince was cursed into a frog
A real princess must kiss the frog so that he will become a prince again
Find yourself a frog

                              Tonight ....

                     I kiss you passionately .....

A kiss should be passionate or affectionate ..
If the attraction or love exists, a kiss should definitely be emotional.

A kiss can say so many words...

There Is Always a Next Time

There is always a next time...

Sometimes we lose a change
Sometimes we miss an opportunity
Sometimes we fail to achieve the target
    Sometimes we lack in honesty

We try our best to reach the target
we make efforts to complete our aim honestly
Yet we have to give up for some reason and
We look at the lost chance very seriously

We decide in emotion
Not to try again in the life time
But we forget the fact that..
There is always a next time.

One lost chance
 should not affect the future
Prepare yourself for the next time
Which will prove to be much more better

  Try to overcome the weakness
and do the hard work honestly
           put in that extra effort,
so you don't require any sympathy

  We forget that whatever happens
it happens for good and happens fine
Give another try for the efforts
because there is always a next time.

Next Moment

Gangsta politicians,
falling stars ... twinkling
of an eye
	disappearing

Leper lips
	 halitosis blowing
Got there gun clips
and stacked deck
	    poker chips ...
Sin City bullets overflowing

Body politic,
staph tongue infection
Still the voters ain’t
getting sick
	    and tired of the lies
Coming from the mouth of frogs,
whose sticky words
      attract a swarm of flies

Gangsta politicians,
falling stars ... Babel Tower wishing
Twitchy finger hearts
	on the nuclear trigger
Hope got a tarry start
Poof!
The next moment
	  whole cities were disappearing

Spotted skin suits,
so profiteering from the mutated pain
Rotten to the root,
nether mind laws neglect the suffering

You can scream
up to the top tear of your lungs,
but corporate desert adders can’t hear
Dare to dream,
poll take the right party plunge ...
Now, does that pledge lessen the fear?

Gangsta politicians
demand sycophant loyalty
Falling stars
want your eyes bowed down
before their flag
Begging for a peace of crumb
on your trembling knees

Can’t you see,
can not you read
the tea leaves?

Future past
is on a thundercloud roll

Terrifying prophecies
have so long ago foretold
how the end’s gonna be

Gangsta politricians,
Rublecon paws ... blood-licking
Houdini toes,
	the next moment,
without a cash trace disappearing

Falling stars
want you joined
to their holster hips
Taking a serpentine bullet ride
to the bottomless pit

Pda: the Next Slam

Never again will you send my friend a frown
you will be shot down and you won't wear the crown
I as a doctor myself am ashamed to be in your presence
as far a the destroyer she is the pure slam essence
I am just a boy with the power of millions
you can't break anyone down with your billions
you don't see that your slams are not well written
and the only thing we get is nothing far from bitten
so Doc are you ready to pay all the fines?
because in the end I write the last slam line

back up the boat
you'll never cross my moat
my archers are in place
all aimed at your face
if you need me I'll be here
sharpening my sword's steel
waiting for an actual challenge
worth the fight and the balance
get back up or walk away
but in the end, I must say:

my personal display of affliction
isn't countered by your decision

Premium Member Lunatics Next Door

They drift across the border
Some drunk
Some looking for work
A better life
Drug runners
All working on night moves
They never move during the light of day
Trails through the desert
Coyotes leading them to uncertain destinies
A cattle car or a van stuffed liked sardines
All for the hope of freedom and money
We sip our coffee and watch CNBC
And complain about our jobs.
Never realizing there are a subclass of people
Ready willing and able to take those jobs for less money
We live on the edge as they do
The weak always get cut out of the herd
And the strong survive.
Be careful what you wish for…
A double wide and a lunatic living next door
Could be your future.
Appreciate what you have.
Strive to get more, but remember the wolves are at the door.
And they will eat you without any regrets.

What's Next

From a child to a mother
Now a mother to a child.
From a student to a teacher
Now a teacher in every fight.
From a warrior to a sinner
Now a sinner with an open mind.
From a follower to a master
Light awakens the ambiguous blind.
From a victim to a warrior
With cuts leaving visible scars.
From a heart with love embracing
I will deliver until life parts.
Faith, serenity, hope and death
All lead to what’s next!

After Every Next Day

The winter winds are frostily howling,
their bloodhound companions are searching
Under a crimson moon scarlet glowing

And I e-scapegoat dream
of a new life
On the other side of Dawn

Runaway thoughts
keep me on the rabbit shun

Desperately trying to get to the woke realization;
that sunrise stun,
the radiant feeling of freedom

Wading thru the Tennessee fog,
following the North Star

To an unfettered fate
that awaits
After ev’ry next day

Midnight dreaming in a murky bog
That a life of liberty
is like an Exodus cloud moving

from pyramid underground task,
premature burial bent

To a Promise Land, no questions asked
‘bout the dog wags sent

Can’t get caught up in wistful thinking
just yet
Not when liberty lies
on the other side of the misty mountain

Til then, before the night fades away ...
I keep my fleeing hopes chained to my bosom

A dash, so death daring true,
as my heart race to the new Dawn horizon —

Into a sacred space
that oasis awaits
After ev’ry next day

Freedom arise anew,
with each wet pillow embrace

A joyous splash,
that leaves no fetter tear trace
