The Neverending Flame

The candle, which sets my heart aflame
The fire, which scorches my soul with your name
One question I ask of you, the truth if you please
Why’d you reject my light, when I’ve begged on my knees
Begged for your love, pleaded for you to me
Pleaded that on your mind, my heart would be
Did not thou see, the gifts I had in store
In order to spoil thy body and spirit galore
For now, that opportune has passed, for another is mine
This unfortunate heart forever loves at the wrong time
This new found torch, so angelically sweet
She warms my soul with her soothing heat
Her hues calming, her fumes embracing
A torch not planned for replacing
Although, with that said
Visions of an old flame roam the boundaries of my head
A flame never proclaimed dead, for loving you still I do
The candle, the fire, the NeverEnding Flame that burns for you

Neverending Foolishness

There are times, when I can get too serious,
unrelenting,I suppose is my characteristic fashion.
but, venting in such a manner,is better than becoming furious,
especially when there's nothing but, jukin'n jivin, duckin'n dashin',
all for the sake of,"the gimmegoogoos",goggling,
drooling'n strolling for their next bamboozling...

Supposing that we all have our own version of importance,
we'll continue this dance of guffaws, along with the present tense...

The Neverending Song

I’m in the middle of a furnace and I'm frozen to the bone
This wasn’t what was promised; never felt this so alone!
I’ve inherited a kingdom from a corpse upon a throne
this wasn’t what was promised; is this the way I must atone?

I’m holed up in a castle trebuchet approach the walls;
this wasn’t what was promised; can’t take those fiery balls!
I’m lookin’ into the future but I don’t seem to be around-
don’t make any plans or promises; soon we’ll meet underground

I’ve got a candle
in a darkened room
but no means to light it
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

I’m clinging to a
capsize without the
strength to right it
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

I’m stalked by an
Un-named beast – don’t
know if I can fight it
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

I’m offered a sweet
sweet apple but I know
I shouldn’t bite it
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

There’s a poem that says
much more than its words
no-one can ever write it
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

I’m sailing 'round an
 island of hope without
 the eyes to sight it
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

 I’m facing demons
in a labyrinth without
the faith to smite’em
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

I turn my eyes from
a luring minx though
I know it’d be delightful
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

Wanderin' lost in the
Garden of Soul and it’s never
once been insightful
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

Standing naked in a
blizzard and my skin
is boiling somethin’ frightful
this wasn’t what was promised this is not what I was told

Neverending

Up there in the sky in the blue blue sky I fly up and up and up through the clouds past the stars.
To a neverending universe sinking slowly

A Point In Life

I have reached a point in life,
Where love and hate both subside,
In dilemma I live,
A life with no drill.

One error comes after another,
All the regrets bind me together,
Life seems like a never-ending loop,
Just wondering when I will finally breakthrough.

Neverending Gratitude

If I could find the source of your words
I would trace the lips of their creation
With the sweetness of a cool, delicious melon
On a hot summer day
And quench their thirst
With the nourishment
Of my neverending gratitude.

With the succulent dispensation
Of the honeycomb
I would whisper my requital
As soft-tongued salutation
Coursing the path
To the fountain of your expression
And bathing in your wellspring
Inundate myself with your gracious gift
And repeat with whole heart and self
My neverending, neverending gratitude.

Neverending Questions

Shattered dreams resonate within her mind.

Filling her heart with hate;

Knowing that prayers are too late

and nothing can change her fate....

(2009)

Neverending Beginning

Walking down the boardwalk the summer breeze playing in my hair. It brushes
past my bare legs and sends a chill through my spine, like fear.

A deep voice pierces my ears trying to get my attention by using his good looks
and smooth operator skills. Its his charm that catches my attention.

Surrounded by young youth voices that find it all fun and games to mess up my
boy chances. A smile sneaks across his face, he understands my position. So
instead of walking away we make plans to meet somewhere different.

Doubt running in my mind as I approach the new location right on time. Quickly
through my emotions changes as I see him posted up on the wall anticipated to
meet again.

After begging and pleading the boardwalk we took not knowing what journey
might pop up maybe something out of a book.

A sharp turn is made, shoes and socks come off as we continue to walk
listening to the waves crash, feeling the breeze brush pass and continue to talk
of one another's past.

" I'm glad you kept your word and didn't decide to diss me," he whispers in my
ear. " Me too," I respond like a shy little girl.

We sat on the beach and just talked and talked not paying any attention to the
sounds of Tick Tock.

His eyes so amazing, so warming and inviting. His touch so simple, his voice so
amazing. His presence sends excitement through my body.

The man hung in the sky and the light touched upon us just right. He held me in
his arms so tight never wanting to let me go.

It is said by everyone that good things must come to an end but in my opinion
and position being honest my good begins and never ends.

Neverending Quest

The river wanted to love its own motion
In my hands in a blond and pink nudity
I failed as my strength to hold was poor
I bowed down and went to a little brook
I looked to my image and it said it's okay

Did I cry a little still in the silver raindrops
Could I offer red rose vapour to the brook
I went to the mirror who so nicely smiled
I felt there were further pantoums to read
Further mountains to look for and explore

I sat before an afternoon, blue absorption,
Silence, shadows, twitters in the bushes
Music of daybreak and taps on my thought
I answered to find sincere quests never end
Just then a nightingale sang out in a thrill

Neverending

it seems my thoughts about being a sentient being were right
i have all the strength to do what i want but i dont fight
i feel my fate fading i dont understand its degrading
Death apart of life a force so strong a force so amazing
How do i fight something so fierce when im fraying?
the longer i wait the more time im paying

Neverending Thoughts

Well it’s another dreary night alone
And they just won’t leave, stop bugging me.
Invading, lurking, and playing games
Trivial thoughts of life haunting me
I just wish they would stop and be gone.

Can’t seem to get them to go away
Always circling my aching mind
Never resting, always lingering
Would you please help me find a way?
Please go away and quit dancing.

O what can they want?
Who are they? Why mess with me?
All I want is peace and serenity.
What can I do? Where can I go?
Please help. Please. You’re driving me crazy!

I never meant for this to go on.
Am I ever going to get rid of you?
I know. I know. You are my friend
But please help me loosen the screws.
Let me sleep. Please leave me alone!

Neverending

I trust "nothing,"
with all my being.
I have shared every dirty, pure, forsaken secret with "no one,"
even when they aren't hearkening to every single drip of my icy song.
Because "nothing,"
and "no one,"
are there when I fall.
When I fail.
When my true colors show,
and my lies,
become mistaken for intentions.
Always have,
always will,
until you arrive to make me breathless.
Stealing my breath,
like a flower in the midst of the naked trees,
and blanket of frozen tears we know as,
Winter.
Finding my smile in the darkness of the frigid containment inside me,
Drying the frozen tears,
until they rush through my veins,
in a form of love which is forbidden,
and frigid as my then blackened soul,
I believed in no one.
I still do.
Every day.
Because my no one,
Is you.

Neverending Love

little baby hands wrapped around your pointer finger
your warm hugs to comfort me when i am sad
the way you always showed me the right path to take
and the dreams you fulfilled that i had

my love for you only grows stronger and stronger every day
even when i sometimes strayed from you
no matter how far apart i am from you
i will always be your little girl

although i may not always be perfect
i want you to know i do my very best
with taking out the trash and doing the dishes
and well it's always in my best wishes

although we have had some tough times
our hearts always seem to mend and grow closer
i guess it is a healing process
that a mother and daughter seem to appreciate the most

i wasn't sure how to end this poem
because there are so many wonderful things to say
but the main thing i want you to know is...
i love you mom forever and always.

The Neverending Rollercoaster

We start the ride fresh and feeling good.
Slowly the first bumps appear.
As we start to climb, the bumps become rougher and quicker.

The doubt creeps in.
I second guess my decision.
Should I have been so quick to take this ride with you.
Should I have taken my time, should I have fastened myself in?

I yearned for the excitement, the thrill of the ride.
I wanted to feel the rush of adrenaline.
I needed to feel fun and carefree.
But the feeling didn't last long....

We go up and down, around and around
From one moment to the next, I never know what to expect.
My heart beats with love one minute, the next it beats with anxiety, the next with uncertainty.

I feel all these feelings, like an engine overload.
Our carriage is bumping and scraping and knocking around.
It is so unstable, I feel it could leave the tracks at anytime.

We reach the final peak, and my heart feels like it will burst.
Like it will burst from anxiety, fear, the pain from the bumps, the love of the ride.

We get off the ride, it will close for the day.
I am tired from the emotions of riding this rollercoaster with you everyday.

I lie in my bed, hoping and dreaming, that tomorrow will be different.
That maybe we can ride the carousel instead.
That we can turn slowly, take everything in, and enjoy this ride together.

That instead of the rollercoaster ride, rushing past in blurs of bumps and grinds and fear and anxiety,
that it can be gentle and colourful and full of music and laughter like the carousel.

But the rollercoaster is our life, because this is what you choose.
You tighten your grip on me and pull me in.
Every time!

I do not need the courage to ride the fast ride.
I need the courage to loosen your grip and ride the carousel.

Though the horses on the carousel will only fit 1, and it may get lonely,
loneliness has to feel better than fear and anxiety?
