We who are hiding in our second bedrooms,
Licking the silver from the backs of our screens.
Are living in a differently timed zone
Of waking awareness.
Sometimes 2, sometimes 3, sometimes 4 or more
Lives are lived each night.
In our rooms
By ourselves
Sitting too close to our beds.
This is our perpetuity
The lasting legacy of our species:
The glow that now contests the light that once shone from our eyes
Rises up to the razor’s edge of our understanding of
What is Unknown.
What is un-utterable.
What can barely be thought , much less said and
Yet keeps these words dancing so merrily across this page.
Caught in the ballet of silence that surrounds them.
Who are you reading this?
And what are you afraid of?
What perturbs your eternal sleep-walk into this night?
Are there questions you are pondering?
Or are you merely waiting for the screens to pull through for you?
Into your own quiet, private world,
Where the things that count never change.
And no one is dreaming you but your mother
Who has left you now for another child.

The portals have echoed the memories of the past
The greens have waved their hands in approval
The humming birds and butterflies have wished us luck
While the velvet aisle witnessed the triumphant march…
And the time has come!
Finally, everything I have shed has proven its worth,
The droplets of sweat
have turned to
karats of gold,
The ounces of tears
transformed into a dignified
sword,
The splotches of blood
reckoned to
life.
Now that I have set foot in the podium
Where anything starts and everything begins—
I am apt to share the gold I have dug
from sweat,
I am apt to wield the sword I have
shaped from tears and
I am apt to bequeath the life I have
victored from blood.
This is what our march is all about—
We stumble and
fall, but we need to rise,
We MUST stand tall.
(Written for Sorsogon State College 2007 Yearbook back when I was in college)
The poetical books are nearly, by me, complete;
Next follows those once-furled, parchmentlike
Scribal tablets on which were calligraphically
Indited the books classified as
Naught but "prophetical"-
After the major and minor scribes,
The authors of which, and those of the first grouping of the
Newer set of scriptural books:
Those of the evangelical order;
The momentum engendered by the narrative flow:
The alacritous, celeritous, positively propulsive flow:
Of the Bible then stalls out,
Mired in and run aground
Amid the impenetrably deep
Bedrock of the various epistolary, predominantly Pauline books
(Paul, being Mosaic in his inditing of just as many and more books than
Those writ by Moses' own hand, for one has the tally of a mere five or six to his
Luminous credit, whereas the other has something on the order of ten, at least, to his).
Not that those, the Pauline books, are of a very poor quality,
But to segue from the narrative and story, poetry, law,
Prophecy and history and the narrative flow thereof:
To turn from these to abstruse missives
Of a yet abstruser philosophical
Bent, then one finds that one yearns anew for the levitical, mosaical books,
When their perusal of books biblical desists before the gates of the
Sadly boring New Testament-save naturally for the gospels,
Which are themselves poetic and narrative and fast-moving.
Such, at least, is my appraisal of the matter.
May be is forgotten
I am the light in his dreams
Love and respect for him
In memories I catch to him
Walk to momentum
In love become of live
In shadows turn corner
Woves of fight walls in light
In clear deeds piece in future hopes
-Your truthfulness
Fight in truthfulnes making this country in destiny
We all in piece to survive-
Pitter patter goes the heart;
Faster and faster it fell apart.
Dimmer and dimmer all senses went;
A hurried heart now all spent.
MOMENTUM
Once
You launch
The spirit
Of confidence
Your energy shoots.
Resolutely focus
Zoom in to the objective
Blast the speediest momentum
Absolutely you are in command
To the ultimate winnable purpose!
everything is a division
lol is it my mission
to balance the scales
keep up the momentum!
for those that are finally in the streets
keep up the momentum!
for those that have come to the conclusion that something must be done to stop the greed that is strangling the countries we live in
keep up the momentum!
for those that no longer believe the lies told to us by our governments
keep up the momentum!
for those that no longer have a job, healthcare, or even a home, but somehow throw their fists up in the direction of the 1% in the US day after day
keep up the momentum!
for those that know the ballot box is dead
keep up the momentum!
for those that know the real education is not in the university but instead right here & right now in this present struggle erupting
keep up the momentum!
for those marching arm in arm with friends, families & co-protestors, getting arrested for peacefully demonstrating & still not yielding from their persistent fight
keep up the momentum!
for those that will not be anesthetized by the election or the pulling of troops from iraq or any of the other smokescreens which will be used to break up our unity
for those that know the crucial value of what is now happening &
cannot cease being filled with shivers of wondrous possibility,
now that people finally awakening!
keep up the momentum!
Early on, ere the grassy knoll gathers momentum
huddled shivering against the ground, stemless tops
of yellow dot the lawns of the old neighborhood, signaling
winter's demise without shouting Spring too loudly...
In a wink or a blink of an eye, these wild buttons
mushroom, spreading far and wide, usurping
the green mantle of my lawn, stems now shooting forth
twisting and turning at jagged angles, bizarrely...
at times, wild undergrowth barging into a (civilized) urban plot
when poof! their signature yellow smiles vanish, dispersed into
puff balls, architectural marvels, wind-scattered seeds, ubiquitous
but not before my inner child picks out a lovely bouquet
for my saintly mother

The wind rushing through the valley,
Diminishing my every thoughts.
My soul leaping within my body.
Wanting to spring upon thy world.
My heart beating through my skin,
Peeking through my chest.
For there is an up-coming momentum,
Rising above the stars..
The clouds of wonders,
Forshadowing my mind.
Hope and confidence running through my blood,
For not I look upon this day,
But I rue the moment when,
Deception takes a turn,
And becomes my object.

Fates heaven sent
this turn of events
gain the momentum
angels sent 'em
tide is turning
elation or angst
dare we dream
not what it seems
level suddenly tips
secondhand slips
avalanche breaks
trivial mistakes
everything changes
the world rearranges
mass and its velocity
a beautiful atrocity
seen from your eyes
looking so surprised

In spring blossom everywhere
Heat snapped from heaven
A body rolling on the warm
Of the grass, chain directly
To the unspeakable of love.

The moments we share are a gift,
uniquely qualified.
A magnetic shift, of consciousness,
of honed homing sense equalized.
Through the protective layers it
sifts, like the hungry for a meal.
Moments weigh us in the balance
like a scale,
scaling what can be, and becoming fare.
Selling us there the fabrics
and colors possibilty wants to wear.
Window-shopping with depth charge,
buying as the damages can afford,
to live large.
Aloneness is shared and blotted out
in mosaic chemical.
Effervescent instant instance of oracle.
Willful in the persistence of time-
skillfully forged sign by sign.
A mystery of union encompasses
small in its spaces, compasses with string,
attachment, attaching all in its placement.
In heart chambers of containment.
For a moment is really not a moment,
it is continuum of continuity.
There is magic in relation to experience
and its mystery.
A convergence of paths intertwine,
encompasses our way back machine,
back to the place we
were conceived of the Divine.
A moment is an immortal stare.
A segway to Eternity, raw, rare.
The building block of here.
The moment you are there.
As faith faithfully undresses,
dresses doubts wound.
Vulnerability-confesses,
caresses- open, bare naked truth.
A moment.
Bares a question to mark,
what is the meaning-"to share" to spark.
It peels away the distance between us,
lightning from the dark.
The invisible doors of the soultiverse,
and its keeps and its moors.
They lead hand in hand to a place
more and more.
Love answers stark in a moment
and with no quarter taken.
In chemical equasion,
it is the answer, never to be forgotten by
the spirit professing the formula
for a tear.
Of joy ever partaken.
