MINERALS OF AFRICA: A BLESSING OR A CURSE?
Once upon a time, it was our able-bodied kin
Taken or traded for guns' dark din.
To toil in fields, their labour bound
In homes and plants, their freedom drowned.

Then they realized, beneath our ***** soil is grace
Abundant wealth, a bounty to trace.

Shale.  Cool, layered, shelved.
Beryl. Ugly but if you can keep it for a million years
You will have emerald and aquamarine from beryl.
