War Mentality

They come from a different era
where patriotism is a just cause
they would fight for the true blue
never mind who was right or wrong

they stood staunch and egos proud
their chest out, backs straight and chins up
they come from an old style of thinking
I fight today as my father and grandfather did too.

fighting for an eye for an eye tooth for a tooth
I will die to serve my country even if its a lie
if you try to invade our land
we will come and conquer you

we are defenders of the truth
but the old timers forget
and the young ones have a narrow point of view
there was a time when the immigrants were Irish, Italians and jews

racism was rampant and that hasn't changed
Christians today still preach
'Jesus is savior they say repent your evil ways
pushing their rhetoric just like the roman empire did

amazingly America seems to be doing the same
history seems to repeat itself time and time again
war, religion, oil and what we perceive as freedom
we invade again and again and call it defending democracy

yet the intelligence comes from spies and other governments
because they have shared interests in different types of policy
they all carefully choose their words
because one slip of the lip could trigger war as it has happened before

todays war on terrorism is a campaign designed to instill pain
and un-trust to drain our resources from us
And our leader claimed up front this is not a religious war
yet he paraphrases from the bible we'll get those evil doers

you see bush fooled our religious leaders too.
he used their belief in Jesus he tricked 'em all just to get their vote
he claims he's a born again Christian and this Christians embraced him holly
but then one day bush spoke to Jesus and asked what to do with Iraq

Jesus responded Invade that country
Now dont get me wrong Jesus was not about war
he taught of peace, love and compassion
however his message has been twisted and turned over time

and history shows the hands of Christian religious leaders are always bloody
because they twist the truth to control dictatorship is always the goal
Bush had been plaining war before a judge handed him the seat
on his first day he signed a bill into law prevent any criminal charges against him

Premium Member In Your Face Mentality

sometimes I need to be
very in your face
make myself heard
let out that roar
and drama it up a score
the need for more
at the core

more intensity
vivacity
high voltage vibrancy
more "live it to the max" volitility
I'm here
right in your face
no comfort zone space

social media mad
posting the good
berating the bad
advocating this and that
slap in the face reality queen
believing she can make a difference
change the world philosophy
makin it reality
that's me

at other times
like a vapor, I rise
no trace of me
just a peripheral entity
no image
no sound
no feet on the ground
there but not there
giving all I've got
to float free from this spot
deactivate, hide
fight to stay alive
comatose complacency
that's me

strange...

the "in your face"
and "no trace" girl
both are....me
can you see?

Now...
in all honesty
in vital veracity

tell me...

who do you want me to be?

Mentality

Love as a priority
Has become a minority.
Gratification makes promises unreal
In love and life learning to deal.
Mentality of a flower child
Freedom is key,
Butchered by Bin Laden,
And even politics before he.
Sixties and Seventies past,
Is the philosophy forgotten?
Is it possible to fit in?
This new age may be rotten.
Peace, love and harmony,
Preach it to all;
Move souls into the sublime,
Let your ignorance fall.
With inhibitions and hate,
Greed, anger and fear;
We are all Gods creations,
Give children less reason for a tear.
Hostility is created,
Not born into babies;
Purity is the beginnings of life,
Ill-will infects us like rabies.
The realization of reality,
Love as a dream yet to come;
Proving with acts and not words
Is something not done.
Life's paths hoped to be fairytales,
Opportunity floats in the air;
Built up dreams let down,
Missing my breath and catching one rare.
Spread this education,
Enlighten new minds.
Search for yourself,
It's good what you find.

Premium Member Small Town Mentality

She was a pretty girl with long brown hair
But I just didn't want to settle down
I was honest with her because I care
Went to meet her for the last time in town.

With teary eyes she said that she loved me
All she wanted was to be by my side
Told her gently I wanted to be free
She went home and committed suicide.

The gossip mill turned said I was to blame
Why couldn't it have been me that had died
They expected me to bow down in shame
And would ask why I hadn't even cried.

Then some lowlifes tried to burn my house down
That was enough; I packed up and left town.

Premium Member A Warrior Mentality

A warrior mentality
so to speak –

donning our armor
of daily fashion;

tinted shades closing
off soul-windows,
concealing from
prying eyes of inquisitive
nakedness –

we clothe
fearing being disrobed

truth, such privates far deeper
than skin

Gucci, and likes, the first
line of Metropolitan Defense….

Premium Member Mob Mentality

The years of prohibition
The mobsters had no contrition
They were a gang of thugs
Lacking morality to judge

If a poetess rose
Simply stating humility thus opposed
The Mob well, would not take to her goals
In the ground thus the flower was to decompose

She stood her position, so sound
A parliament of owls she would not back down
In full bloom, she shines in the heavens
She heeds not the tongues below loading weapons

The Tommy gun, the Chicago piano
The seekers now all singing soprano!

Democracy Vs Mentality

*Democracy VS Mentality*

Globalization or mobilization
How safe we are in modernization

We're all a part of democracy
But how much we pray for mentality

But when our ego shows more humility
With friends and the fidelity

With all courage and maturity
Together we exert in unity

To see righteousness prevails in this society!

User Mentality

Gimme, gimme, gimme
Take, take, take
But when it's time to give,
"I don't have it. Not today"

The only giving I know
Is when others give to me
Forget other people
It's all about my needs

If you have what I want
I'll do what I can
Just to allure you,
Then trap you like quick sand

I lie and I lie,
I cheat and I cheat
Whatever it takes
I have no integrity

My craft is manipulation
My heart is a black hole
The only thing I care about
Is the image I uphold

I pretend to be nice
And I appear to be sweet
But that's just an act
I'm corrupted with greed

I'm warped in evil
Spoiled to the core
It's never enough
I always want more

I'm the center of the universe
Everything revolves around me
I'm the most important thing
To ever live and breathe

I'm the sun and the moon,
The stars and the sky
When it comes to personality,
I'm Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Why am I like this?
Don't ask me
I guess God made me selfish
With a user mentality

Goalkeeping Mentality

I played as a Goalkeeper
trained to make the save
push the ball away
instinctively go again,
knocked down get up,
get hit get in the way,
down up down up
take a battering
not pass kick or head,
get hit take it
all that matters
recycle retain
never show pain
or stay led
no fear thought
hesitation no floor
animal
smacked pain,
engrained
smacked again,
if you can function
be punctual
ball face punch force,
don't roll or feel
don't lay or look
off all fours
chest or balls
foot use all
rise fall cycle
adrenaline no trembling
give everything,
no end in sight
fight and you fight
clear mind mad kind
no excuses just reasons,
lessons to heed,
opponents to read,
hurt what's hurt
who's Burt
give everything to the shirt
visit dirt submerge
back up unhurt
the moment
occurring
war keep serving
nerveless what's nervous
rush buzz
keep going because,
because why? cus you can.

I'm Nick Trim
Goalkeeper
never a victim
no need,
do the opposite instinctively
no sympathy
no wimp in me,
challenge,
won't win quickly,
can't get rid easily,

sorry that I battle back,
it aint over after one whack,
long of short
I never stop,
give up or think to quit,
a man,
not a bit itch

About Expansionistic Mentality

They are so designed
that cannot to live without any territorial pretension
for other country
around them, inside, outside and far away.
It’s just a matter of time
when, where and with which scale
and result starting realize the plans and dream
of mystical Russian soul.
Geogiam, Ukraine and Moldova
that is only beginning,
after conquering them
this mystical soul starting to dream about Baltic states, Poland, Finland, Hungary
because she utterly believed they had been the part of Russian Federations.
But if Russia joined them that not stopped her and not quenched her hunger,
very soon she starting weeping and dreaming about lost land and relates
in other part of Europe – in Balkans, East Germany, Scotland
if the Word presented her these countries,
certainly Russia actively starting for colonization
what else left from World after USA, UK and China.
Had better if these nations get away from planet at all,
than done such problems for mystical Russian soule.
So peace in world would be established
only under the full patronage of Russian Federation,
when you got it, stupid gentlemen and comrades,
from NATO, US, EU and United Nations?

The Search For Mentality

This is my search for the proper mentality
Ive realized I need to change myself drastically,
And Radically
I need to Change my whole inner Anatomy
On The search for a cure to my insanity
I just dont want to be another fatality
As I look around casually, trying to think rationally
But the only answer i can find is to change my whole personality
If i dont the pain will continue to grow rapidly
In this calamity I lost you, but only to a mental catastrophe
But you looked into my eyes and said "it wasnt me"
So ill continue to be in this state of amity
Thankfully I lack apathy
While i wait Ecstatically
For you come back to me,
In my time of need I tried to turn to christanity
Because They said the bible would hold the answers in reality
But my life needs to be lived emphatically
So id like to drop a bomb on your faith, **** the baptistry
And im sorry for all this blasphomy
My words of truth have turned into a rhapsody
And ive learned that The one of the real gifts you left me is was this constructive agony
My brain needs to be drained because its nearly at full capacity
My thoughts are endless and keep growing erratically
Every thought of mine is full of confession, confusion and wishes for the future,
Id call it a fantasy
Because I dream one day we will be living together, fantastically
And stop being held down by gravity
And ill float away with you in my arms
Now understand I say that with first meaning of audacity
And I feel like you are mine as if you were given to me through my born rights constitutionalily
And In my mind Our love was a given right that was ammended and ended with feelings of impartialily
But with time the amendment will be repealed happily, with no memory
And youll return to me randomly
And ill tell you "i wasnt worried" sarcastically
Because when you walked away it left a very deep cavity
i tried to fill it up with pathetic fallacy
but only you in my arms will fill it to the top dramatically
And nothing will ever be the same in my eyes and in my reality
Dont worry I dont say that unhappily
Because missing you has caused me to fight and fix my life and my immorality
So now ill take a bow and say "thank you"
like im trying to end this theatrically
With your hand in mine and the proper punctuality.

The very moment it's offered
we accept it blindly, no questions asked.
Yet every time we give something away
there is almost always strings attached.

Premium Member The Mentality of the Sandbox

Stepping outside the sandbox,
Is what we all need.
I do it to escape the madness,
And from going crazy.
I need silence.
I need to feel alive again.
I need to feel strong, positive and secure.
I just need to be alone,
So I can think...
Someone has destroyed my life.
They have taken everything from me.
I'm furious because trust is broken.
Integrity is gone.
Their morality and decency is,
Non-existent in this world.
There is a remedy,
They will be judged, not by me,
But by the higher power.
Once again I feel love and warmth,
In my soul and I am strong to carry on.
I smile as I step back into the sandbox.

Herd Mentality

Often I hear people complain about the simplest of things
In seemingly going insane with the little details life brings
Perhaps it's the traffic or a long line at the grocery store
Just take your own pick for I know there are a lot more

When we have so much as compared to other countries
We seemed to have lost touch with what the eye sees
For so many have far less but rarely will they complain
For they don't see it as mess but they still feel the pain

Their lines are much longer even to just get some water
Oh if I was a bit stronger waiting in line to place my order
Having to wait a whole hour for a doctors appointment
You wouldn't be sour knowing most of them never went

Sitting there at that red light just waiting for it to turn
My goodness, such a plight as we never seem to learn
What will a big storm do If ripples can rock your boat
We need to act more like a sheep and less like a goat

Language and Mentality

Language and mentality
You words describe you

The language you are use to
Show a lot about you

For with your words
Your mentality is weigh
On the scale of knowledge

The outcome value
Your mentality

Mind your tongue

Think before you speak

Watch your language
As is only an easy answer
With out a question to know
Your mentality
