Best Mamma Poems
It was like the sun did not rise
and mourning birds sang
no morning melody.
The heavens were so grey,
pouring like Noah's floods,
preparing me for the storm,
which drowned my heart.
I felt like a butterfly helpless against the wind.
I had no time to build an ark
nor to sail towards those uneven paths,
which would allow me to hear your last breath.
Maybe hold your hand and hear you
call my name one last time.
I will never forget that moment of silence,
when the world seemed to pause
and I feel, I'm still standing still,
feeling numb, unable to express myself,
so I supress myself.
Waiting for the birds to sing.
To trigger suppressed sentiments,
but there is no metaphor for this void I feel,
like the emptiness of the room,
where you would say;
"my prince has come home"
You would always ask if I was hungry,
still force me to eat when I was not.
Together we would pick
sweet grapes from those vines,
which ran high up against
your sage veranda.
You would always bring out
the pot I cracked,
when I was six,
saying with a nostalgic look;
"Hands of my first grandson broke this."
How you would treasure such memories.
The season of death has returned,
to steal my jewel away from me.
I look in dismay at discoloured fallen leaves,
scattered like my emotions.
Will those fruits ever taste the same,
now that your precious hands cannot pick them?
Who will treasure what I broke?
You used to always call grandpa's name,
now I know you are together again.
Mama still calls for you,
I say to myself, she has gone, mum,
as has her laughter and her smile.
There will be no more hugs,
no one to call nanna now.
The sky still remains dark,
but the floods seem to be easing
and
I know one day the sun will return,
as will the birds,
singing in your remembrance.
don't tell his mamma
how the sun did not rise today
although it was a cloudless dawn
he could only feel the coldness of rain
don't tell his mamma
how he is hiding his grief
although he may not flow in tears
he is consumed with sorrows
don't tell his mamma
how he is trying to ignore the demons
although he looks strong
he is crumbling inside
don't tell his mamma
how he sits alone in his room
although the lights are on
he can only see the darkness
don't tell his mamma
how lonesome he feels
although he is loved and adored
he feels no one really understands
don't tell his mamma
how only melancholic songs appeal
although he is silent
he plays them on repeat to help him feel
don't tell his mamma
how he has not eaten in days
although his pantry is full of food
he no longer feels the pangs of hunger
don't tell his mamma
how he can no longer control his thoughts
although his mind is sane
he did not sleep all night
don't tell his mamma
how he feels there is no cure for his illness
although he has pills galore
he feel they have no impact
don't tell his mamma
how he feels he has lost his purpose
although his garden still blossoms
he can only see dead blooms
don't tell his mamma
how he searches for a father he never had
although he is a role model to many
he is a guide without a mentor
don't tell his mamma
how tired he has become
although he will continue to smile
he is not afraid if he does not see a new dawn
don't tell his mamma
how he ignores my voice
although he can hear me
he refuses to reignite his fire
please tell his mamma
how he does not want her to worry
although he is falling
he knows he will get back up one day

Where is the love, Mamma?
Through broken Louvre blinds, you're ever watching
Rosary beads clicking prayers on repeat mode, uttering
Your plethora of Faith keeps me steadily striving
Though, frustrated when peace will be arriving.
Under cover of the midnight moon, hookers seducing
Shady men with illicit wares aggressively peddling
Of changing our situation, I'm forever idealizing.
Enduring every day's trauma, just surviving.
Seeking direction from above, when is enough enough?
Tell me, Mamma ~ Where is the love?
Collective immorality still existing.
A ticking clock morality meekly resisting
Corruption, greed, and deceit still abounding
This life where goodness seems to be drowning.
A depraved degradation of insanity still insisting,
Death, broken hearts, crime persisting
In the chaos, qualms never ceasing.
lawlessness above the muck and mire rising
At the kerbside, a holy man piously preaching
Should I turn my cheek, still beseeching
Amidst their plundering and their leeching?
NO !!
Enough is Enough ~ Where is the Love?
Beyond-repair abhorrence, I'm escaping.
Fervently, I'm hoping and praying.
Please God, Mamma, be safe while I'm gone
I'll be back for you before long
In the eerie darkness, emotions imploding
Sirens blaring, with the sound of guns exploding
My shallow breath quickening, turning back with throat thickening
All the while, I'm screaming
Where is the love?
Back through this hellhole, I'm rapidly racing
All through the panic, still hoping and praying
Please God, Mamma ~ Be Safe, Be Safe, Be Safe
Neon blue-red lights flickering and flashing.
Through my open front door, I'm madly dashing.
Looming through the haze, I hear them saying.
'Sorry, Miss, yet another random shooting
Your Mamma just got caught in the cross-firing.'
The last thing I hear is my own voice crying.
MAMMA ~ THERE IS NO LOVE! THERE IS NO LOVE!
Mamma you work very hard for our family
Always giving and never taking

An angel that is disguised as a mamma
Mamma Anna made the best Babba' al Rhum,
you should have seen me how it made me slightly drunk;
and jumping and screaming I danced to the beats of a drum...
then grandma joined in and she sang a classical song!
And the sweet cream was on my lips and cheeks,
the Babba' al Rhum was delicious and I topped it with chocolate;
everybody began shouting, "It came from Paris,
but we Neapolitans reinvented it by improving its shape and taste!"
Mamma Anna made the best Babba' al Rhum, soaking it in that liqueur much longer;
and Papa' always told me to eat more of it...saying with a suppressing laughter,
"It's a man's dessert, after you eat it, you'll be strong!"
Oh, did he really tell me the truth? No, he was wrong!
It's so very sad that they aren't here,
and I am eating pretzels and drink a beer,
the harmony that stirred their passion can't possibly return...
as they danced on the terrace to celebrate the day I was born!
Mamma Anna knew how to make the best Babba' al Rhum,
and I licked the dripping rum with my finger...not my tongue!
She spoke calmly...when she should have gotten mad and picked up a broom;
no, she was never mean and rude, or ever said to me, " Go to your room!"

Memories are always sweet
A mother's love is branded
moment in life, tomorrow's joy
- might have the scent of roses
A picture, worth more than a thousand words
mamma held the whiskey bottle
in small yellow hands
with dirty/short nails
their polish peeling like hers.
jaded/hard eyes with fear in each iris
watched me with something akin to love
similar but more unsure.
Mamma cat
looked in the mirror…
I warned her: cut back
on treats or soon you
will no longer fit into
your fur! She licked
her lips, then began to
purr – shook her hips,
all four; legs supported firmly
atop each chubby paw – I sensed by
her feline attitude, that Friskies
were her beatitude --
Tail pointed toward the door,
Took I haste to the store.
Angel you are and you will forever be
Your magical feathery touch
And mouth-watering dishes much
From our birth to your death
Loved you we did, with all our heart
For you are our very breath
Love us you will
Wipe our tears before eye's fill
Paradise lies at your feet
That is what god has decreed
You were love at first sight
Cuddling and caring
Stories of prince
In lullabyies you would convince
Bathing, cleaning and keeping us neat
Loving, caring, and tickling our feet
The ever-flowing love in your twinkling eyes
The glow on your stunning smiling face
Your soft and soothing gown with a wonderful lace
Everything is a show
Nothing is going to be same tomorrow
Every new day you get older
But still breath-taking and beautiful
Your only fear is for one's near to heart
For you know one day you will depart
Life did not give you much
Few bits of happiness and tons of pain
For being, a homemaker was a special task
You were strong so you put a great mask
Life to you
Were moppet and munchkin
Yelling but still loving
Never did you say you were tired
I without doubt admired
You never gave even a tiny cry
For you hid your tears
But yours cheeks never dry
Value you we did
However, we were just stupid
I for one was a very naughty kid
There was never a huff
For all the troublesome and irritating things
After all, we were your darlings
We ask your forgiveness
For you are our richness
You are our life
Our reason of being
A great wonderful wife
We wish for your well-being
Our debt to you can never be paid
For you gave us too much
For us to repay
Prayer and smile
Safety and love
Good wishes for you my beloved

Your broken hearted son PRINCE!
Mother decided to die without saying goodbye, didn't give me the opportunity;to shed a single
tear or cry.
My mother passed away a short while back and I was too late for her funeral.Just got to put
some flowers and light some candles at her grave.Let's hope the good Lord blesses and
keeps her until we meet again.
Kids running crazy around the house
Is he at the bar again?
Fast train to wit's End
Throwing away money you don’t have
Here he comes, strolling in
Stinking of booze and smoke
Sorry, darlin, got caught up with the boys
Shooting pool and unno, shaking the week off
Aw come on, don’t be like that
Don’t start that damn crying, Jesus Christ
A man can’t go out for a few hours
I have to come back to this
What’s for dinner?
Hey, Mamma, kick him out
He isn’t gonna change anytime soon
Go get some love, real love
Love yourself
Tell him to take a left down Last Laugh Lane
Mamma said the Sphinx head was made from barley
Which Papa stole from the Mars harvest with Charlie
And if you look real close
Especially at the nose
It resembles a picture of Bob Marley
I am the kiss of light as the dawn breaks,
a representation of promise and endless possibilities
As delicate a beauty as the flutter of a butterfly
atop the brightest bloom
I speak not of a mere symmetry of features
but a depth that colors my soul
Resilient, with a persistence that matches
the ever present ebb and flow of the roughest shores
As constant as the circadian rhythm
with a vibration of influence just by being me
Firmly I stand in my beliefs,
unshakeable as the mountains of old
Storkishly my strut says it all,
back straight and tall
Mamma said, I am woman
With my smile I spark a flame of love
in hearts known and unknown
I cry for myself as much as any stranger,
their heartbreak as acute as my own
My hands with kindness they mold
each dream with deliberateness
In me there is an oasis, where many will seek restoration
There will come a time when I will lay in hibernation,
preparing for a season to come
yet still I will wait, as I lay the ground for others to shine
Mamma said, I am woman
As I bear my cross, my back breaking,
I will stretch my arm and carry yours
As I fall, beaten down by fatigue,
I will lie so as to break your own fall
As I break down, embittered by failure,
I will still encourage you to thrive
Even as I perish, I will fertilize your soil...
Mamma said, I am The Woman.
Kehne ko toh ghar ki sabse badi,
Pr vaise sbki jaan hain woh.
Sbki pareshaani lekr,
Khud rehti pareshaan h wo.
Parivaar mein sabka khayal hain rkhti ,
Pta nhi kaise prr vo nhi thakti
Kisi ko nhi dekh skti pareshaan hn,
Kyunki poore parivaar mein toh unki bsti jaan h.
Kismat waalon ko hi milti h maa,
Warna unse jaake poocho jo har wakt kehte hn tu khaan h maa.
Meri zindagi mein sbse pyaara tofa maa h,
Hrr pal vo sahi jo unki dikhayi raah h,
Bss ab uss pal ka h intezaar
Jb meri wajah se hi hongi khush vo aur meri wajah se khush hoga parivaar
Unka hrr khwaab unki hrr soch ko poora krna h
Bss maa, tere liye hi jeena tere liye hi marna h…..
tere liye hi jeena tere liye hi marna h!!!!
