Magenta Was the Sky This Morn

Magenta was the sky this morn

Magenta was the sky this morn as I approached the day
Ominous of clouded rose in petal’d full array
Quietly it called to me in whispers on the wind
A fragrance pure, so sweet its touch now falls upon my skin

Engulfed in life’s serenity, so overwhelmed with fear
A brush of fate in simple terms as if the end were near
I stood to bare my feelings now a swirl in my mind
In hopes of some off distant dream so soon would come to find

Counting off the many tasks which brought me to this place
The reasons that did hold the time my sequence now did waste
Lost of any angered tears when captured on my brow
To cry, if it has come to be, then let it find me now

On my knees, the summer ground is warming to my touch
With gathered hands to here my chest, this future I do clutch
Loneliness companions me though still of wandered hope
I pray that what will come before my soul shall bear to cope

When suddenly a light appears, a magic in its sheen
A softer glow, this lightened mist of heaven’s tangerine
To touch upon the darkness in a spirit calling true
In witness to the morning sun that feeds the skies of blue

My heart beats now elated in a dance of utter bliss
As memories of long ago, I find they do exist
The rising sun to spill its charm in beacons shone above
This warmth I feel, rekindled flame, aglow within your love

The doubt did come of weakened state, a mind that was unclear
A hollow moment filtered in through thoughts of you not near
Alas the dreams of only one now obvious of two
For on this day, the rising sun, brings me the love of you

Eastward toward the creek; sunrise
aglow, casting magenta clouds.
Tonight's sunset will be our prize

Eastward toward the creek sunrise
A new day away from the crowds
Where the birds sing and there's no ais

Eastward toward the creek; sunrise
aglow, casting magenta clouds.

First blush fountain azimuth of hued rays
wet patio shrub basket in the haze
zealous heartland tower cry as life force
celebrate and savour August rare days

Magenta skylines cluster silken clouds
blue ocean colour eyes that worship shrouds
a fancy surreal canvass so divine
it mesmerises jubilant bright crowds

Summer fun arcades stoke our dream world mind
gasps of red tint bliss a peak season find
earthbound poise dilates refulgent cascade
rocking beach tune fare blurs dark strain purblind

Sapphire plinths that anchor stoic ambit
vision on parade my high rise gambit
traipse amid the dahlia euphoric
seventh heaven rapture’s cloud nine orbit

As the early sun rises casting
Magenta upon the clouds
My heart's cherished enterprise
Is to feel the moment and be proud

The roosters crow down in the vale
Cindy meows close at hand
A grayness has settled 'pon the sky
Please don't in my heart land

Songbirds sing a soft sweet tune
They're still close and in demand
Do they know that cooler air is near?
Does God's plan they understand?

They don't worry nor do they fret
Each day there are bugs to fill
An empty stomach doesn't lack
Mankind has other needs so real

Mankind needs a relationship
Out of this world's busy life
A spiritual and emotional filling
One not based on human strife

The sun shines once again casting its
Illumination upon
Those dark clouds fluffy charcoal design
Wait, release raindrops, move on

Premium Member Fall Magenta Palate

The sun has sunk
the moon was nearing
lumber smoke tarpaulin
vermillion shine
touch our hearts
shades of strain exhaust the space
as the aroma of harvest time

rejuvenate your hentai
I could feel the freshness under my feet
a fantastic breeze blows over us
my heart is shaking
while leaping through a leaf pile

all leaves are wilfully dropped
gotten from a glorious golden tree
like the blush on your beam
this bold course has a story behind it

daylight vanishes from sight
like billows of porpoises raging the skies
glossy tip of fresh grass,
variety blurs to maroon
same as the popping of consuming wood,
my chimney will illuminate soon

tree after tree, the woods develop
With a solid hint of self-esteem
dusky red like polished lips
maybe orange is God's most tasty gift

each branch is trickling with walnuts
the air is loaded up with the sound of speedsters
the owl cuddles up to the coat
same as a honey bee resting in its hive

we wander this road hand in hand
the seasons alter before my eyes
the views are broad and the atmosphere is serene
thank God for the warmth of September
we need to tidy up the wreck.

Premium Member Unbearable Beauty In Magenta

I experience my lover in magenta.
Her sad touch of blue gives her compassion.
Her violet reflects her nobility of character.
But for me she burns bright red with passion.
Though she never wears my favorite color: magenta.

My Many Shades of Magenta

I found myself in a crayon box
And then upon a pair of socks
I was once the color of a geranium
And they put me in an sanitarium

But when the good things came about
I seemed to always be left out
There’s not much of me in the sea
And in a rainbow I’ll never be

They confuse me with fuchsia a lot
What an insult from that I got
I guess I’ll have to be content
To be on a shirt of some quirky gent

Sometimes I sit around and pout
When I end up on a toe with gout
But the truth of the matter is to be
That there aren’t that many shades of me

Premium Member The Deconstruction of Magenta and Other Painterly Thoughts

("Conceived in Light", 2017, original encaustic)

Magenta is a mouthful of a name
To describe a color rich in contrast.
It’s a type of purple
Half way between red and blue
And as such is a union of opposites
Like those Southern states in transition
As they fill up with self-exiled Californians.
Except colors are beautiful
And can actually coexist
In a celebration of diversity
Unlike humans who have now reached
The beheading stage of
“Diversity is our strength”.
But I digress…
Magenta brings up such ideas
Of a conflict of visions
Because of the hidden words within it;
Ma for mother
Gent for gentleman and the final
A or even Ta as in, so be it.
But the name is actually for a place
And 1859 battle in Italy
Where the Austrians were defeated
And Italians furthered their independence.
In every conflict,
Even within something as simple as a color,
There is a winner and loser,
But there is also the opportunity for harmony
A true blending of the opposites
Into something greater than the parts.
So it is with this fancy named purplish hue
The union of lady and gentlemen more pink than blue
Wonderful and bright, gay and bold
With no need to say more if truth be told.

The clouds hold our intimacy forever

A brilliant sun peeks through dark clouds
And ask the fog to leave
As the moss rose waits for the bright rays
Magenta blossoms to weave

The hidden sun held captive by clouds
Rises higher in the sky
Openings it takes to release
Rays, earth feed, and joy supply

Unfinished

Stone Magenta

An island
Surrounded by the sea
A gentle breeze
Drifting in along the coast
Two young lovers
Walking on the beach
An idyllic paradise,

And love's ancient philosophy
Is still alive
On the fabled island
Of Stone Magenta.
