Best Love Child Poems

Olivia

Dear child I know we never met
I’ve never seen your smile.
But God asked me to pray for you
for just a little while.

I got the news just late today
last night was when you left.
One week was all I had to give
before your final breath.

The Comforter I sent to you
several times a day.
I urged He go with healing hand
each time that I would pray.

His Spirit pressed into my soul
a child I never knew.
From pools beneath my folded hands
my tears He brought to you.

He said with faith, His pleasure found
my faith not strong enough.
But from my prayers for you, dear child
I found a strength of love.

Olivia, I fear I failed
dear child of only eight.
And now you walk on streets of gold
beyond a pearly gate.

I have a void I cannot fill.
Love found on bended knee.
I ask while walking there with God
if you could pray for me.

I love a child I never met
Nor have I seen her smile.
But God asked me to wait for her
for just a little while.

They Shall Be One

When The Lord called to His angels
there was thunder from the throne
He said there is a child of mine down there
who's been too long alone
So He called one precious angel
out from all the rest
He said I'm sending you my child
for you're my very best
Now there are no words to say how much
to Him this child was worth
for The Lord to send an angel here
to walk upon this earth
And then when they were married
there was thunder from the throne
He said you see my child now
no longer is alone
Do harken to my story
for we all know that it's true
that God does answer prayer you see
there is nothing He can't do
Now I know this precious angel
who lives a mortal's life
for I was that lonely child of His
and that angel is my wife
                                    Diesel Dan

Premium Member Mother

The egg I hatched from,
the being I've been fed for nine months.
The first one that hugged me with her warmth.
The first time I've been told how beautiful I was, even if I was one more newborn child.
A sunny day by the end of June my mother had her dream in her arms, while I was in a deep dream under her wings.
You kept me for a while,
not for long time.
Soon you took me far to
another country, without your
feathers to keep me warm.
You left me when I needed you the most into a challenging life.
Mother, you didn't know, but you left me in the best hands.
I grew up with another mother, she has been with me in my cries, my nights awake, my first steps, my first teeth, my sickness, my whole life.
Mother, you never forgave me that I loved her more than you.
You were always reproaching me about what you did wrong.
You were jelous about her,
my auntie, my real mother,
the one dind't laid the egg,
but the one that took care about the bird.
After years we made peace.
We were not as we should be,
but we got closer and closer. I understood you in the end.
The worst came, you got sick, then your little bird took care about you before you flew above the rainbow. Mother, you must know that day, a piece of me died forever.
I forgave you, because now I know you did the best for me to have a better life.
Now I just want to take care about my other mum, as she did always with me.
Mother, just to tell you one more thing...How lucky I am that I had two Mothers.

Premium Member THE SNOWS OF LOVE

It was a very cold day I was tired all afternoon,
I felt the need to sleep and I took to my bed,
I double checked the stack of diapers,
because I knew you would arrive soon.

Outside the little trailer we called home,
I could here the winds blow,
I lulled off to sleep,
as the winter winds blew in more snow.

Your father would arrive home late at night,
as he worked a second shift,
I had made him some supper,
as the snows began to drift.

The house smelled good from my cooking,
I went back to bed and started to fall asleep,
I felt my stomach shift with a loud pop,
I yelled, "oh, this can't be."

I called for your father he was watching television,
I told him my water broke,
he looked at me like it was a joke,
I told him again and then the chaos, well you can just envision.

Just five weeks prior- in the month of January,
there was a blizzard so famous it made headlines,
but you my child remained safe and warm,
still waiting to be born on the sidelines.

So off we drove in the month of March,
to the hospital that wasn't too far,
but your father got lost in his anxiety,
I was in pain but was really excited.

I was ready to see you and wasn't in labor long,
You came into this world sucking your little thumb,
The doctor said "we got a thumb sucker",
I heard a slap and then a cry, to me it was a beautiful song.

You were lying upon my chest,
your father cut your cord,
we looked at one another, we were in another world,
the doctor said " you have a little girl.

Your hair was dark, your eyes so big,
your beautiful birth marks placed by angels,
you nursed and then they took you away,
they cleaned you up and we named you,
Michelle Nicole Day.

Time has passed and things have happened,
but a mother's love can never be erased,
my time has come and I will go,
but this is something you should know.

Think of me every time you see it snow.

The Heart of a Child

I think perhaps
The heart of a child really is
Heart shaped...

Like those on valentine cards,
Delicate and soft with seed pearls
dainty lace and fancy glittered
Ribbons, spilling over like happiness.

Yes, heart shaped,
You can tell by the sound of their
Laughter and of course by the was
They smile...

Babies coo the sweetest sounds and
We respond with silly conversations.
There is joy in the heart of a child when
They look at you...

Our voices comfort them as we lull them
To sleep, so lovingly we rock them to
Dream land, fast to sleep and ask the Lord
Their souls to keep...

Words from a song someone sang to us so
Long ago...'Hush Little Baby Don't Say
A Word'...'Lullaby And Good Night' and
More often than not, a self styled lullaby.

Suddenly they discover they have toes and
Fingers...
We love the way these strong little fingers
Pull at our hair and glasses and grab and twist
Our lips and scratch our faces...Ah, but we don't care.

Soon they are crawling and scampering across
The floor on all fours, then struggling to sit up
With backs stronger than we remember baby's
Backs should be at seven months.

Oops! Down they tumble and fall and tumble
As they discover this something called standing.
We offer fingers and hands to steady them as
they wobble...

Then almost before we know it, they rush to us
With those little out stretched arms.
They stagger on tip toes and take those first steps
To independence.

They have a look of amazement that says, 'I did it!' and
We reward them with applauds and kisses.
We grin and make telephone calls in celebration!
Our wonderful, beautiful babies know without a doubt
They now rule in this palace, this place, this home.

As babies grow we rarely miss a chance to brag to
Family, friends and neighbors, and often strangers
About the wonder and special qualities of our precious child.

Yes, the heart of a child is heart shaped like those
They draw with pictures of us in the middle...
Heart shaped by an intergenerational connection of family,
neighbors, friends and even that stranger that says
'Your baby is soooo adorable...

Babies give to us the breath of happiness,
Filling our heart with untold joy...
Now and forever!

Thana

Thana

“Do not be afraid you don’t know what storm I’ve asked her to walk through”- God

She was in a bad state of mind

Not realizing she was affecting mine

My eyes pressed tightly together

While she reaches for anything she can find

Every beating remain as memories

That affected my life daily

I wish I can say I could look up to you

I wish you looked me in the eye and said I love you too

But I’m just a disappointment, so you beat me

You’ll tell me to close my mouth and watch me as bruises form on my body

All I asked was for attention but only received rejection

We remained so distant that there was really no connection

Feeling like a lost child with nobody to love

I had no Guidance

My fears hidden behind my silence

You weren’t a mother so I had to rename you

So I called you Thana which means death

And at one point I wished that upon you

Because of you, every night I have nightmares

But I was afraid to speak so everyone was unaware

But now I found my voice

I finally decided to make a choice

Not to follow your habits

But to follow my dreams and use my own talents

Its funny how everyone thinks you’re so sweet

But each night you remind me of how my dad left me

Thana, I will always remember what you taught me

To be better than you

And to fight for me

The Love Child (Re-Posted)

The Love Child

Gently laid in pungent hay
The small infant greets the eve
While all those present wonder
At the glory they've received

Neither before nor after
Will man witness such a birth
That brings more joy and hope to
Ev'ry creature on the earth

Brilliant star pierces the dark
As heavenly beings sing
Of earthly peace now dawning
Over plains the chorus rings

The wise and faithful bearers
Of the gifts know all along
This baby is the Savior
Whom inspires the angels' song

They bow to God incarnate
And place before Him treasure
Shepherds praise the Holy child
Whose pow'r is without measure

For though a humble baby now
A King lies in the manger
Who came to heal wounded hearts
And save our souls from danger

Question you how it can be
This mystery of ages?
Find the answer given us
Within the ancient pages

Read how it has comes to pass
Payment for our sin is done
Through ultimate sacrifice
God has sent His only Son

So see Him sweetly sleeping
Tiny boy so meek and mild
And know the baby Jesus
Is our Father's great Love Child

The Rescue Metamorph

Oh the tears from the child as her dolls hair is caught in the spindle
Her little face awash as she tries to rescue it
The little rag doll, her only friend was whisked away so fast so cruel
The spinning wheel stops to her delight, her tears dry and a smile returns as her
doll is eased out of the spun thread on the spindle.
The time it took seemed as long as the sands dropping through the hour glass on her grandmas table, timing the spinning thread as she teases the wool apart, then spinning the spindle to collect the spun yarn, but the rescue is complete, the doll returned unharmed, the child restored to good humour, as grandma frowns a little as the last grains drops into the glass before it is turned to start again, Her money will be short but her granddaughter is happy so therefore is grandma.

The Rescue Metamorph from free verse to rhyme

The squeal from the wheel as the knitted hair is caught within
Horror strikes at the child and tears course down her chin
A rag doll her only friend caught in grandma’s spinning wheel
Pulled from her arms, but tugging at her heart she can feel

Grandma stops teasing wool, the wheel she stops spinning
Her granddaughter’s tears have her own eyes full to brimming
The sands of time through the glass dripping their next meal away
But grandma rescues the doll so her granddaughter can play

Premium Member She Is Blessed

A little girl with flaxen hair
Curled up on my lap
She was like a mermaid, lovely
As she chose to nap

At a young age, I knew her worth
Cuddling up in a ball
She smiled elation, such an imagination
As she laughed through nightfall

Whispering light into the heart
Joy seemed her fate
She burned with a angel’s flame
As wonders met her in a soul mate

Breathless, I saw her inspiration
Thrilling, filling life
She grew to delight in her passion
As grace gentled her strife

Warming the hopes with dreams
Caressing the moments, a fire
She wore her heart on her sleeve
As she fled the dark to inspire

Heavenly hands healed her sorrows
Breaking through dread
She cured the worst of mourning
As restoring hope to the dead

Violet hues surrounded her thoughts
Blazing satisfaction with peace
She cast a graceful edge on the mind
As she sighed grief to release

Serenity fell from the autumn sky
Coloring the moments in belief
She welcomed the songs of praise
As soothing as the sweet relief

Prayers of pure kindness so sincere
Lingered in her spirit so caring
She longed for the caress of a promise
As compassion would surely be sharing

With yellow hair and fair skin too
Delicate winds of thoughtful truths
She knew the reason for thankfulness
As she poured out her heart to youths

Long after she was grown up and gone
Silent flowers grew in her shadows
She had a gift for nourishing the weak
As giving souls chose songs to compose

Purity sought her from her birth
Fondling her wishes with a pledge
She knew that God was her helper
As she felt His protective hedge

Love was the source of her light
Piercing through sorrow and strife
She was wise beyond her years
As she grasped there was eternal life

God ignited a feeling within her soul
Assuring her so she would know
She was a child of the King of Kings
As she felt the power of His flow

Blessed beyond what words can voice
Thankfulness filled up her soul
She felt a power rising in her breast
As she realized He made her whole

A Leap and Walk

27 February 2010

His body alike a limp vegetable
Unable to speak and can’t even crawl
His age maybe 3 or 4, I’m not sure
His worst condition they tried to inure

A single room upstairs facing huge trees
Wind swayed the leaves as circadian circuitry
A half vertical block fixed at the doorstep
Unthinkable to pass through by a limp’s creep

One morning, the limp boy is left all alone
At a higher level with bounded zones
To leap on door block and stairs steps wide gap
A little chance to move through is a hap

Maybe a godsend or a grotesque sprite
A paramour of the innocent feeble child
Who wants to show the other world expanse
Or invite him to their kingdom to prance

My heedless passing by to their place
Forbade the unknown and left him at the foot of the staircase
I run toward him, lying on the floor, and seemed all right
I looked around but no one else at the sight

To Love a Child

To Love a child
To love a child you must hear what they have to say
To love a child you must really love them
You must spend time with them
To love a child you must see what they have to say
To love a child do not go over their words for someone elses
To love a child spend time with them when you are alive
not when you are almost dead
To love a child don't do nothing you will go to jail for
because without your child you have no life

A Childs Tears of Clay

Irony bit its lip, as the blood of tears....

Seventeen years of age and but a child still; lost amid the daze; haze?!

Standing in front of the silver glass, this somewhat handsome young lad

Popular, athletic, surrounded by girls whom adored; with razor blade in hand

The perfect night towards days tale, of the telling of two lives....

Longing to be loved yet, destroying it upon its very way; dusk to dawn

And back again; a posters child for the psychologically raped and maimed!?

Jekyll and Hyde only in the sense of the world outside, these broken windows

Wintery gust permeating his red rooms often, place in time; mind....

Traveling down the steepest mountain sides, amid the blackness of starless skies

Beauty, just another slash within the malignant corpse of his walking dead?!

As hearts became casualties strewn with his very own alongst this, foraged path

Facing the daunting beast while as quickly becoming its mangled image; in like....

Peering back into these mirrored eyes afore such crimsons reflections

Always taunting and mocking and gnawing upon every life of which it can!?

Destined in turn for a season passing suicidals asylums; temps revolving doors

But even there the shadows of poisoned lingered to be fed; insatiable their thirst

Bled, in the wake of locomotions spellbound overdrive; this macabre....

Fast forward now as the decades journeyed to impart; mirrors, images, conceptions

Ironies muse; and not so innocent anymore nor helpless, hopeless or naive?!

Instead of a razors slicing edge at hand tis but that of a flaming sword; given

Beyound the valley in the taste of death anointed; into, this fiery fire formed....

Blood – rich whispers of crimson,
Like flames melting the feelings
beliefs alive, grief that spelled
Out the word – I n f e r t i l e
Infertility wrenched beauty from my life,
Erasing the stars from the night,
Darkening my heart – but I survived

Yes, I remember
I was young one day,
Yearning, aching – praying
Begging for one smile from a baby,
A smile that told me I’d been right…
Love would- love could save me

Yet, I remember
The nights, sleepless and silent,
Biding my time, tears
Flowing to remind me why
I couldn’t know the beautiful
Beneath eyes that shined
With a child’s love, a child’s adoring

Blood – dark and crimson,
Pouring out the hope, the anticipation
Pregnancy never came to me,
The girl who worried about never knowing
Throughout history, the giggling glory
Childish antics and childhood joys

I never will know the love that might have been
Mine if fate had brought to life, from my womb
The soul of an infant, a smile that sent me
From solitary confinement to the jungles of beautiful

Red, White and Blue

Colour by numbers with two different displays....

Through these eyes of a child gazing through its glass

Dark to the right and bright unto the left; wherein does one choose!?

Psychology and philosophy are great tools to explain away the why's but

What good are they within a tender life untamed by their sights....

Faith takes one high and the lack of keeps them bound amid

A windows display; chained to be tainted by the science in such darker hues?!

Surveys and studies unto the left and to the right; a box of crayolas

In the hands of this child to be coloured by these numbers....
