The Love Child (Re-Posted)

The Love Child

Gently laid in pungent hay
The small infant greets the eve
While all those present wonder
At the glory they've received

Neither before nor after
Will man witness such a birth
That brings more joy and hope to
Ev'ry creature on the earth

Brilliant star pierces the dark
As heavenly beings sing
Of earthly peace now dawning
Over plains the chorus rings

The wise and faithful bearers
Of the gifts know all along
This baby is the Savior
Whom inspires the angels' song

They bow to God incarnate
And place before Him treasure
Shepherds praise the Holy child
Whose pow'r is without measure

For though a humble baby now
A King lies in the manger
Who came to heal wounded hearts
And save our souls from danger

Question you how it can be
This mystery of ages?
Find the answer given us
Within the ancient pages

Read how it has comes to pass
Payment for our sin is done
Through ultimate sacrifice
God has sent His only Son

So see Him sweetly sleeping
Tiny boy so meek and mild
And know the baby Jesus
Is our Father's great Love Child

One Life

Her name was Miriam;
Joe Jacobson was his.
When I first encountered them,
They had no kids.
But she was pregnant,
In a most obvious way!
The city was bustling more than usual,
And they had no place to stay.
They managed to gather some wood, tarp, and crating,
In a filthy alley, behind the local hotel.
"No rooms were available for them,"
Was the story they had to tell.
Then, I heard , that later that night,
Their baby boy was born.
Only a few, undesirable street people,
Were there with them to see the light of morn.
Yet they were rejoicing over that one life,
That entered the world that day.
A life about Whom countless multitudes,
Would have countless things to say.
Some would follow after Him,
And hang on to every word He said;
While other men were jealous,
And plotted to see Him dead.
For only a span of thirty-three years,
This Man traversed this sod.
And mankind has the chance to be free,
For this Baby of humble birth, was the Son of God. Charlie Pelota
