Jesus, Lover of My Soul

Wonderful JESUS
the passionate LOVER of my soul
marvelously pursued this child so lost
and of my life would not let go.

For HE sought and longed after this one
for sweet fellowship to share
just like HE longs for you my brother and sister
and waiting to show you of HIS care.

And truly, I’ve never experienced such love like this
a love that I could not earn
its depth cannot be measured
and an encounter with it will cause your heart after HIM to yearn.

When you feel warmth of HIS love
and tears begin to roll down your face
your heart HE fills with thankfulness
for HIS mercy, goodness and HIS grace.

Wonderful JESUS when I first came to know YOU
I truly did not perceive
that YOU were most beautiful beyond description
oh, LORD, I am so glad that YOU chose me to receive.

John: 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you,
that you love one another as I have loved
you, that ye also love one another.

Premium Member ''I Longed For Love--Love Pure Like Driven Snow'' Re-Revised

I longed for love—love pure like driven snow,
untouched and virgin—in the years to come:
but years did come and go until (O woe!)
it, like the fall, decayed in my autumn.
Heartbroken, never I a princess met
or maiden girl with whom to spend long nights
of ardent love. (Alas! best to forget
my heart's too foolish hopes of its delights.)
Unstained by sin, naïve and innocent;
unspoil'd by life and vice in the very least:
I cast'd aside my youth's prurient bent,
forswore my loins' lusts and was my own priest!
     Now aged and useless, I've denied all love;
thus life's reproach abides and won't approve.

Premium Member A Damsel Longed For a Knight

A damsel longed for a knight
a man to fight to fight for her causes
with whom she could love and unite

To be with for eternity
to kiss him under the arches
a damsel longed for a knight

A fine brave warrior to fight
protect her from evil witches
with whom she could love and unite

Dance a few reels with tonight
wearing a dress with fine brooches
a damsel longed for a knight

A knight to help her feel safer
a man who would spare her farces
with whom she could love and unite

At last she met her shining knight
together alone she blushes
a damsel longed for a knight
with whom she could love and unite

Longed For Waiting

While
I wait
here alone
feeling helpless,
the emptiness in
my heart aches to be close
to you and really feel your
loving arms around me and that
warm embrace I crave every night as
I wait here alone patiently and still.

Longed - For Mail

I looked in my mailbox,
In hope that I would see
A friendly sort of letter
Written all for me.

The mailbox was full,
But to my sad dismay
It contained bills and magazines;
And nothing came my way.

I looked for a week,
And sadder I became
Everyday in the mailbox;
Nothing held my name.

Finally, I stopped looking,
It wasn't meant to be;
I didn't search the mailbox
And there was something there for me.

Days Longed To Be Remembered

Fifty years ago came
to me this morning
days long pass
a June day so cool.

Waking up to musical
sounds of birds singing
to me. All summer
long to freely do
as I pleased.

No cares, no worries
just now waiting for
friend Danny to call,
to see what we will do.

Junior high school waits
for us after Labor Day
but today June 12 is long way
off till then, so let's
have some fun while
we can.

Shep greets me at back door
with a wag of his tail,
love this dog who has
three more years with us yet.

So many things to do,
three movie palaces
downtown, we may go
to one of them.

Swiming would be fun,
but it looks like rain,
just heard Buddy Holly
sing "That Will Be The Day"
on the radio, great song and singer.

Nineteen-Fifty-Seven, days
longed to be remembered.

Heading downtown on trolly
bus, only ten cent fare,
what a deal that was.
Paramount Theater, what
a movie house, and so grand.

Twenty-five cents to
see double feature
"The Incredible Shrinking
man" was playing today,
don't remember other flim.

Danny and I both loved
this flim. after movie
we went over to city drug
for a coke, only ten cents.

Rain is coming down
real hard now as
we sip our cokes
joking around as we
always did.

Rain has stopped as
we walk over to catch
our bus.

Neither of us knew it
at the time that someday
we would look back, not knowing
that this date, June 12, 1957, would be.

    Days longed to be remembered.

True Blue Fisherman He Longed To Be

Once a seeking lad of long dreamt desires
true blue fisherman he longed to be
within summer's heat, its burning hot fires
went he through desert to welcoming sea
Only to find that it had no hungry fish
nor even lobster, his favorite dish!

Trekked he on back, to his small hometown lake
with rod and reel in his young trusty hands
swore, I am a fisherman, not a fake
no more of fishing failures can I stand
With that he baited his first shiny hook
saying, fish live here not in a damn book!

Casting away, far out into yon deep
over to were the big catfish oft hid
Swore he, I will eat fish before I sleep
fried in cast iron pan with no lid
With that spat out, he felt some long hard jerks
delighted that his fresh earthworm bait works!

Reeling in his long line to beat the band
hoping for grand daddy catfish to eat
now firm gripping rod with both of his hands
with a hard yank, a boot lands at his feet
Aghast, at this failure and its great shock
from old boot fell out only torn red sock!

Spouting curses that would make sailors blush
re-baited, out farther he cast his line
praying for fish, then that long silent hush
huge fish was landed, life seemed so fine
Swelled with pride, as this was a full meal
cried, fisherman am I, the real deal!

I'Ve Longed

I long to walk with you at night
And gaze at star filled skies
I long to hold you close to me
And look into your eyes
I long to kiss you lips so tender
And make love to you so sweet
I long to feel the fire between us
And taste the passion when we meet
I’ve longed to make this wish forever
And to share my dreams with you
Because if we dream together
Then all our dreams come true

Premium Member You Longed the Most

We walked on uphill track of difficult times together
The tired times you didn’t treasure, passed you by
Hidden within your spent eyes sleep didn’t appear
But you would not know why.

The road we travelled reached its end one day
Someone planned for me another lonely journey
That took me beyond your finite reach far away
But you would not know why.

On a rain drenched dusk many painful years later
You would find me in a rainbow on the fallen sky
Your eager stride would stop to take you farther
But you would not know why.

Drifting clouds would melt me, in your eyes I’d rain
Tears would cascade, they won’t dry even if you try
You'd see sleep return to your unclosed eyes again
But you would not know why.

When the moist eyes would close in sleep you’d lost
You’d see me in dream, a bird from the rainbow I’d fly
In your sky with colors of true love you’d longed the most
But you would not know why.

I Longed For the Days

I longed for the days when the earth will smile again and the penitence of its mind will humble itself before the benevolent sky and the assemble of peace will be trod bountifully through the street.

I long for the days when the hill and the valley will meet and walk hand in hand in the street and greet the people we meet and pass on a word of encouragement to those that fall from the heavens. And time will tell how he constructed that hypnotic well to release his mind from the pit of hell.

I longed for the days when the sun will smile with the rain and cool the desert flame, the cactus will grow in abundance and moisture will cover the desert land and the plants will flourish all over the land and the sun will obey its command.

I long for the days when I can dine outdoors, and watched the waves riding on the shore, I will write a verse or two, and listen to the music singing in the wind. I will breathe in the fresh air from the atmosphere and write a romantic poem for thee and absorb the moisture in my flesh from the sea.

It is the touch of love that will ride with the vision from above and somewhere out there in the atmosphere; you will feel the difference of time racing with the spirit of the divine.

I long for the days when I can walk in my old school again, and bring the place alive just like old time. I will walk along the corridors and mesmerize my golden sorrows and the path I took that gave me a hundred books.

I will dance underneath the trees, just like how it used to be, I will bring my friends alive and reminisce their sacrifice. I will recapture the memory of spending long hours in the study room and could not take a shower until the following day at noon. I will go to the gym and workout on the tread mill and hum my childhood hymn.

I long for the day when I can travel the world again and meet people from every, race, color, creed, nation and culture. We will have happy times together, have buffet meals for supper and sing Kaluki at noon. We will learn about each other’s culture and play games together, and when the evening is done, we will stand on the board, walk and gaze out yonder and our heart will be together.

I long for the day when I will meet all my television friends, we will have lemonade on ice and we will tell stories in the moonlight.

To be longed for

To be longed for,
Oh, to be wanted.

To be craved, to be needed,
To be the answer before the question is breathed.

To be compulsory,
To be everything you've ever asked for.
To fill your heart, to be enough.

Loving but never loved,
Giving but never given.

To be the sun, yet chased by the moon,
To be the tide, yet never the shore.
To whisper love into empty echoes,
To pour and pour—till there's nothing more.

To trace your name on fogged-up glass,
Only to watch it disappear too fast.
To reach for hands that slip like shadows,
To speak of love no one can hear .

To be the warmth in a world that stays cold,
To write a love letter no one will hold.
To be a melody hummed but never sung,
To taste forever on someone else’s tongue.

To bloom in the dark, unseen, unsought,
A ghost of a dream, a love forgot.

I Longed For a Sky Today

I longed for a sky today, bright and pleasant, sparkling after a rainy day
I longed for daybreak with a gusty wind, with a lot to follow today.

I touched the drops of rain that keep on pouring in my dream
Those droplets reached the dry soil, and I sensed their tremendous whim.

I longed for a rose-scented envelope, with a letter inside that has a lot to say
Telling me of more rain to come, wiping all those tears of a fearful sky in dismay.

I folded the sky, to calm her down, before getting too loud or noisy
Listen, pretty sky! Listen to me! You need to see a lot, my little daisy!

I imagine now; little footsteps will knock at the doorway soon
Happy and tired faces with a long story of a day, with a blessing and boon.

I could tell you a thousand of those dreams, with a thousand to come
With new rain of hope and aspiration that startles, but stays for none.

Premium Member I've Longed For Spring

spring

windows
fresh air

welcome calm
serene breeze
long deep breath

one with nature
from its slumber
somewhat drowsy
the surge of life

rejuvenated
suddenly she wakes
her colours blossom
releasing perfumes
bursts and overflows

I watch from my window
and take in the sweet rays
the sun’s golden glitter
like magic faerie dust
enchants and transforms all
works its charm on my heart
