Best Lilly Poems
A young, enchanting Lilly stands tall and oh so very proud,
Others waiting in line to bloom, they silently vowed,
Eager roses showing off their virgin white beauty,
Vain, trying to steal the show, maybe feeling a little guilty,
Bougainvillea, vivaciously display a color of vibrant indigo,
They lean forward as I approach whispering, watch me grow.
At times I am a dusty path
where soles of souls tramp over me.
Sometimes the helpless Lilly
bent backwards by a heavy breeze
that snaps the stem so easily.
But the times I am the tall majestic tree;
opalescent leaves full of fire;
then I am who I truly am-
my glory blazing brilliantly.
A flower for dreamers
For explorers of the unknown
The pungent perfumed petals
Will permeate a home
Nothing compares to the
memories Scent recalls
Like a silk thread,
Tied to stems,
Connecting all
A zip line of sweet smelling savores
Special moments gone by
We remember them all
My star gazer lilies and I.
There once was a girl named Lilly
who often liked to be silly
she put a spoon upon her nose
then she wrote a bit o' prose
and called it mexican chilly !
Oh my sweet Lilly
stately and true
graceful and long
soft and delicate
so angelic
white and pure
everlasting
like love should
when in bloom
brightening a spring
with tenderness
an aroma
like a sweet perfume
touching my heart
leaving a song
of memories
you are beautiful
the color in life
you are my Lilly
I love you

Written for a Contest, Favorite Flower
Once there was a miss by name Lilly,
Imitates to make others appear silly.
Pent-up feeling unleashed,
my pain of rejection eased.
Bloody Lilly, no good grief. Very very silly!

The calla lily ladies pay a dainty little toll
to shade their face from beauty which will purify their soul.
(all protestant their daughters - ambiguity is plain -
unscented shapeless bodies with no luster to their mane)
Belief is not conceit received within a holy name
but licks with tricks to finger flick a bic to bigger flame
which decimates the future of a church so prone to pride
in search of resurrection since the congregation died.
All present indiscretions and confessions labled sin
will find in time backslidin' minds are slippin in again.
Too late for fate to find a place where faith and hope await
but somethin' in the wind again will land upon my plate.
But old remorse can set a course as games are played too straight
where beauty brought was never bought to be the brand new bait.
So wait for fate to find a face to place inside the race
for there is where the lion's share of mischief found disgrace.

UNSUPPORTED CODE
There once was a woman named Lilly
She went through the town acting silly.
“Perhaps,” she said,
“Humor is dead;
I've insulted the folk unintentionally.”
Tiger Lilly
Whisper right to me
Reach skies; grab my yearning heart
A Tiger Lilly
The magnificent beauty
Unique in its appearance
Used since the days of Rome
Marked in the passage of winter solstices
Treasured and cherished
Lover of water, pure and elegant
Fragrant and bliss
With a tear drop center
Once gracing the royal gardens of Paris
Cut and resting in glass, posing on tables
Clinched together in the arms of a bride
With lace and white ribbons a showstopper
One can’t deny
In a rainbow of colors made for the eye
Nothing Changes
On the Lilly-Pads
From Island to Island
instinctively frogs visit...
boys chasing the girls.
Scottish Frogs
The croak of the wild
the gathering of the ponds...

Sunlight's touch only by its flaming torchlight through majesty
Cornflower blue sky, drawn steadfastly upon my face, amid scarlet marigolds,
Orange and pink dahlias, snapdragons, and pungent garden green.
Our bright colors and strong fragrances attracting captivating,
Winged pollinators for our tasteful nectar.
She walks through the garden and lingers.
Well-seen she's lost to my large orange and brown freckles beauty.
She bends and removes me from my place.
Brings me up to her nose, breathe in my sweet scent.
All the others in jealousy, for I'll be a part of a bouquet for the indoors.

When you awaken caught in the web
where the dew sparkles of rainbows clearly cut
sunlight appears dressed within a sparkle
Diamond Light you illuminate beautiful
warm radiates the sunshine into a heart
trapped as the food for your mercy
The one star that forever paints roses
remains blushing within the dawning morning
when hail speaks falling with a Lion roaring thunder
