Lighthouse On the Shore
There is a lady all dressed in light,
who stands above the jagged shore at night.
To guide the sailing ships to safer seas
and beg the wicked storms for calmer breeze.

She ever shines her light across the bay,
in hopeful search for love that sailed away.
He left the...

Out at sea, facing a dark heartfelt storm.
Heading for a lighthouse, taking him home.
Looking at a lit place, over the Hill.
Music and laughter, the night was not still.
In a mood for company, He went in.
Walked to the bar an ordered a...

Sentinel of water’s beauty and breadth,
grand messenger of danger
so statuesque around an ocean's expanse--
O beaming guardian of light
Moon and waves crest upon dark of eve,
it’s time for you to flame!

Circle on for voyager’s harborage
illuminate this ferocious brine;
In quiet comfort, in nightfall’s embrace
whisper of vigilance......

Lighthouse Litany

Statuesque and stalwart in your seaward gaze
There's such comfort in your beauty, you amaze!
Seafaring ships lost in wayward windswept seas
Conjures fears of drowning in crews prayerful pleas

As sailors catch sight of your luminous light,
You guide them to safety on a moonless night.
Your gift...

Soliloquy of Abandoned Lighthouse

O hear I chant clinging to a sullen northern shore,
tempestuous serene rocky beach that you so adore,
sultry soliloquy sturdy stifled structure sings,
a witness of forgotten sailors and majestic kings.

Them, I blessed with gracious shelter in storms,
for I unmanned, rejoiced in accompanying norms
dreaming of worlds afar...

I’m a lonely lighthouse battered by the sea
Standing all alone steadfast and strong
Keeping guard for souls in difficulty
Maintaining my watch all day long

Waves exploding but I’m standing firm
Salty spray splashes over me
A soldier of the sea I confirm
I ‘m committed to my duty

Storm or tempest...

The Smeaton Eddystone's architecture
First lighthouse protecting navigators
Light blinking, pulsating, luminously
Loud foghorn resounding resonantly
Guides shipwrecked mariners vigilantly
Or swarthy seafarers incessantly
On oceans perilous, tempestuous
A sailor’s salvation eternally

Lighthouse keeper vacancy announced
Envelope delivered; contents read aloud
A smile turned into laughter, then into a shout
Parents and Son hugged before he set off.

Applicants sitting quietly, Into the room strides a man
Age etched on his face, a cheery smile, sparkle in his eyes
Sat himself down...

Lighthouse
Your pillar of truth
Our beacon of light
Show us the way (of the)
Starboard and the portside
Illuminate me now
Bedazzle me white

See me so small
Im blinded in sight
Thy tower so tall
Empowered to write

Exposed by your beam
Ghostly ship in the night
'pon steely hard granite
Imploring your rays (like)
Coved dish of...

The lighthouse stands, the lighthouse stands
Above the foaming wave,
Above the sands.

He stands so brave, he stands so brave,
As winds against him blow;
The ships to save.

He sends below, he sends below
His fiery, gleaming light,
The way to show.

All through the night, all through the night
He guards the...

The Lighthouse - Lighthouse Rhopalic Verse Contest
The coastal lighthouses, intervening
in many dangerous undercurrents.
it's beacon interacts vigorously
as vessel realigns, manoeuvring
past many obstacles undistinguished
by any obvious visionary.
So sailing faultlessly, continuing
home without treacherous impediments

Let Me Be Your Lighthouse
When the storm is over you
And you feel the ocean waves
Crashing and pushing you around
Let me be your lighthouse

When you feel your strength waning
And you can’t swim anymore
If the waves won’t let you float
Let me be your lighthouse

If you feel the rocks below
Cutting and hurting...

Mute
but immutable.
Unmoving, unmoveable;
timeless, yet tireless.
Solitary stalwart sentinel
surveils undulating horizon.

Aberrant, achromatic clouds
pock-mark the skies, as distant
rumblings herald his adversary's
latest gambit in their age-old conflict.

The wrath of a thousand crashing,
clashing, thrashing fists batter
against the beleaguered sentry.
Ceaselessly, remorselessly,
the maelstrom assails him.

But the foundations are firm and
noble gatekeeper stands...

The clouds above ooze and billow,
And the ocean is howling and thrashing;
A lighthouse is lost in the vortex,
Oh, will the bricks hold or start crumbling.

Wild and angry is the blustering wind,
Blowing up huge white foamy waves;
Screaming with gale force strength,
Oh, will the keepers go...
