Best Let Go Poems

It's hard to Let Go

On Christmas day before he died,
I went home to visit my dad.
The house was full of family,
our mood was quite somber and sad.

We drifted in and out the room,
where he lay dying in his bed.,
Each of us sharing memories,
saying the words that needed said.

Those last days perhaps the hardest,
as death became reality.
We made the promise to ourselves,
to hold on to his memories.

We were grasping for any hope,
all my brothers, sisters, and me.
We had not yet convinced ourselves,
it was time to let him be free.

Be free to hunt that long coon hunt,
that will never come to an end.
To dance his jig among his friends,
to lie beside his wife again.

Goodbye my beloved father,
in my heart you will always be.
Place a kiss on my mother’s cheek,
and tell her that it is from me.

Notice how the birds sing long after we listen.
We oft’ are engulfed with our trampoline thoughts.

With gossiping beaks, they chirp and they flap.
We mimic their tweets, in our minds, as we beat

out the negativity of tenacious tumbleweed and burrs.
When wings catch the air - either we can’t breathe

or we catch commonsense & attempt a sound mind landing.
The canal, closest to the great outdoors, detects signals

of the sweetest sounds, beckoning the eavesdropper -
reminders of a mother’s cradle drop; will we fly?

Let go; indeed fly. Flap those wings. Give it a try, baby bird.
All ‘round, the spellbound flight of robins, bluejays, sparrows.

A glowing sunset
My summer dreams,
reached the point of parting tears
With silent song from heart
A sigh, let go of all the feeling
In the breeze:
A goodbye ... and one hello

Autumn is coming quietly
A sense of melancholy
The light is different
and the air sharper

Melody's cradle
Heaven clear light blue like an Aquamarine
The goddess of love
A starry sky full of divine power
Life is so valuable ...
must each day be blessed

Don'T Let Go

If you take my hand and don't let go
There's a side of life I want to show
You've suffered a little, a lot, know
But I also know you have a beautiful smile.
You have a loving family, they look your way
A God that knows just what to say
And I, I promise I'll always stay
Even though I'll be gone awhile.

Your past and shadows may haunt you
I have reason to think they still do
You say it's hopeless, I say it's not true
You just need to remember where to trod.
You know from experience where light will dwell
And when things just are not going well
Bruised and broken after you fell
Rise to your knees and pray to God.

Through thick and thin He'll help you through
When you don't know just what to do
I want the light to follow you
So others may know where to go.
And every day you don't win the fight
When things just are not going right
You have learned to follow the light
And I've watched as you've begun to glow.

If you take my hand and don't let go
There are places of light that I know
We'll go and stay, rise high from so low
With our Father's help, we'll find our way
He loves you so much, and that is why
You learn in struggles; and when you cry
Remember it's strength that lifts you high
From the shadows of yesterday.

Let Go of the Rope

Let go of the rope my tethered friend
Your holding on to a futile end.

For if you fall what’s the consequence?
But if never tried life won’t make sense.

And if you try and don’t succeed
You just may find its all you need.

See God is in the nothingness
Where pain resides along with bliss.

Its up to us to find the strength
And see what all this life is meant.

So take a fall, get up again
And leave that world of bogeymen.

Let Go

LET GO

You spend your time worrying
     about so many things
You take a little problem
     and give it giant wings

You let it cloud your senses
     leading happiness astray
You fret and whine relentlessly
     another ruined day

Choose your battles carefully
all is not as it seems
Let go of the small things
don't let them ruin your dreams

The little things have a way
     of working themselves out
It really isn't worth your while
to cry and scream and shout

Sort out all your problems
     push the tiny ones aside
You will feel more joy each day
less tears you will have cried

Focus on your blessings
they will never make you blue
Choose a fresh prospective
     each day, a new view

This life is full of mountains
but when you reach the top
You feel it was worth the struggle
     you're glad you didn't stop

Brush off the petty problems
don't let them dig at you
Let go and enjoy happiness
     let each day be new.

Never Let Go

Heads turn, hearts burn
the song of the love bird
singing out loud
eyes sparkle, souls dance
two as one in perfect rhythm
another romance

I've been waiting
waiting so long
I've been searching
searching for a love that is strong
now that I found you
I'll never let go
now that I found us
you ought to know
There's no place I'd rather be
There's no one I'd rather see
right beside me
right here beside me
now that I found us
you ought to know
I'll never let go

Heads turn, hearts burn
the song of the love bird
singing out loud
eyes sparkle, souls dance
two as one in perfect rhythm
another romance

fall in love with me
place your head
on my beating chest
and just rest
fall in love with me
put your hand
on my pounding heart
let love start

Come gently kiss my lips
look deeply in my eye
never say goodbye
Come gently take my hand
be my only guide
lead me to our paradise

Heads turn, hearts burn
the song of the love bird
singing out loud
eyes sparkle, souls dance
two as one in perfect rhythm
another romance

now that I found us
you ought to know
There's no place I'd rather be
There's no one I'd rather see
right beside me
right here beside me
now that I found us
you ought to know
I'll never let go

Never Let Go

Never let go
Though the path is crooked,
It is narrowed,
But mind not the thorns oh
Brave and Noble seeker.
Though you're a stranger,
But you shall explore
Well enough to restore
Hope to the dying ones.
Once with a courageous veil
You'll end the wail.

Premium Member Let Go-Let God-

When you having problems Let go, let God
When you seem (like) you can’t solve them
Let go, Let God
Letting go of those complex and simple things
Letting go of nightmares and foreign dreams
Reach up
Reach out
Pray for continuance, for the Father to work it on out

When you’re having doubts, look out
When you’re in the pains of your time here
Reach up, Reach out

Stop holding on to the rope of no hope
Stop holding on to the line just let it go
When you pray, when you ask and pray
Just stay… believe what you’ve prayed
Let go of the line you’ve already prayed and asked God….
When you’re having doubts, look out
When you’re in the pains of your time here
Reach up, Reach out
Letting go of those complex and simple things
Letting go of nightmares and foreign dreams
Reach up
Reach out
When you having problems Let go, let God
When you seem (like) you can’t solve them
Stop praying and still holding on to the rope, that line
My brother, my sister just let go and let God
Nicely done.""Let go, let God" - for sure!

I dangle from a frayed, silken cord of melancholy ...
Gaping beneath me, a chasm of hope and elation, aglow.
For most of a lifetime I've wrapped a cloak of worthlessness about me,
Using the flashes of talent to adorn the dark neglect like stars.

Oh, there is an odd comfort in the complacency of underachievement -
I used the indifference of others as my impetus ...
Not to fail, but rather to never complete ... ANYthing.
You see, you can't be placed, (or even expected to),

If you don't cross the finish line, or never leave the gate.
I succeeded in vicarious ways, however ...
Through the things that my critics found of little consequence -
Grades, honor roles, academic awards, sports accomplishments and citations,

But never did I exult openly in front of my detractors,
(The ONE, really, who saw nothing but his requirements,
As the only measurements that truly mattered).
Now I see, above, the black expanse of that life of shortcomings ...

That mockery of pretending to care about what he cared about ...
I feel my fingers loosening their grip on that rope of failure,
Sadness and careless interest starting to slide through my palms,
The opulence and shine of release, success, self-esteem, and joy,

Warming the soles of my feet ... whispering "Let go, lad ... live again!"
How sad, that it's the specter of his death, and the waning of his sanity,
That makes it so, for all I ever wished for ...
Was his praise.

Breathe, inhale, receive,
The power of nature’s love.
Let go of your loss.
Relinquish the doubts, the fears,
That have nailed you to your cross.

Let Go

Even the trees shed its own leaves
when they turn brown.

What are you waiting for?
Let go. . .

Welcome the winter with all it brings,
For only after Autumn dear, will come Spring

Premium Member Able To Let Go

It’s time to part
you cannot stay
though we may have
another day
Hold my hand
I’ll stay awake
whatever happens
love remains
Knowing this
I am able to let go

We feel angels
at our side
soothing us
through day and night
There’s so much spirit
in your eyes
Now I know
how heaven smiles
Knowing this
I am able to let go

Knowing this
I am able
to let
you
go

Can'T Let Go

I though your love was forever mine
But Sunday night the clock stuck nine
Your number came up on my phone
Remember when you said you’d never leave me alone
It’s starting to rain
I can’t take all this pain
Do you remember our first kiss
I can clearly remember this
I hope that you know
That I can’t let you go
I can’t let go of you
And I really don’t know what to do
You can’t walk away
No, not today
I won’t let go of you
I don’t care what I have to do
I need you more than ever now
I know we’re both thinking how
Don’t tell me that you love me
Because you can’t even see
What you had
But now, isn’t it just too bad
You don’t even know how
But I’m gone and it’s over now
