Pumpkin straight from my garden is my choice,
With the aroma as it bakes in the oven, I rejoice.
Serve with hot buttered toast, its yum at first bite.
You can add a dollop of sour cream, a real delight.
Its vegetarian. A meal or a snack morning or night.
Leave off the butter and for vegans no sour cream,
You will have created, a gourmet’s culinary dream.
Use Kent pumpkin for yummy soup, no other type.
The family will love it you won’t hear a single gripe.
Don’t waste your yummy pumpkin on Halloween.
First rule of cooking your hands must be clean.
Next I suggest make a big batch to store.
Guaranteed they will be back for more.
There’s lots of kinds of great soups,
Handy for feeding the troops.
Follow my recipe to the letter.
I really think it is better.
I hope you love this pumpkin soup of mine,
I am sure you will think it tastes most divine.

Jenny and Lenny Hook Up

Lenny was 30 and still living with his old cheese, everyone called, Lenny’s mum.
She was always on his Cadbury Snack to go find a trouble and strife for a chum.
“Geez, leave off mum, I’ve been looking down at the Punchbowl rubbity Dub”.
“Well Lenny, go to the grab a granny at the Rissole, Fridý night will ya luv”.

Friday came, Lenny put on his best bag of fruit and fired up his old VS Dunny Door.
With his pay in his sky rocket as he hit the frog and toad with the peddle to the floor.
Mum put some of dad’s old brill cream in his Fred Astaire before he left the house.
“Be good Lenny, me little china plate, if ya need a lift home give me a Wally Grout”.

Jenny was on the rock ‘n’ roll so she saved up her oxford scholars for a big night out.
She wasn’t flash to look at, with her bifocal monkey’s arses but she had a good jam tart.
She walked into the Rissole, tilting her leg as she let rip a decent Royce Hart.
Her dad would’ve said, “A bit more choke and it would’ve made you start”.

Jenny met Lenny at the near ‘n far, knowing he was giving her the old Captain Cook.
Introductions made and Lenny thought she was a bit of alright, as he had a second look.
They hit it off after Jenny’s Third vodka and Lenny’s fifth schooner of pigs ear.
Feasting on bar snacks of party dogs eyes, Jenny dripping the dead horse in Lenny’s beer.

A couple of young blokes walk up to Jenny and tried to give her Reg Grundies a flick.
Jenny started throwing cut lunches, smashing him on the Lionel Rose, then gave him a kick.
Lenny intervened, saying, “We don’t want any froth and bubble.” Before thing got nasty.
He took Jenny outside screaming, “He’s got a face like a half eaten pasty”.

And that’s how Lenny and Jenny met, Lenny’s mum was happy seeing Lenny with stars in his mud pies.
They got cash ‘n carried, had a couple of billy lids, that loved to eat burgers and fries.
It’s not at all romantic, but that’s how most Aussie love stories go.
Lenny and Jenny together forever, They’re mates most of us will know.

The Secret Life of Jessica Rabbit

The Secret Life of Jessica Rabbit

I’m really not as bad as I appear
Can’t help it if my looks arouse your lust
Inside I’m like a nun with mind austere
So leave off all that gazing at my bust

I have a brain that’ s rated high IQ
Could be rocket scientist for one
Though may look like I’m in a burlesque
I solve complex equations just for fun

I paint pictures of wee bunny rabbits
And then I go and cook granny’s dinner
With frame to get a monk in bad habits
I’m truly more a saint, than a sinner

So as a ‘toonl I protest and I mourn
Not really bad it’s just the way I’m drawn

Premium Member Better Love Mercy---

People whom are haters, better love mercy
People who rape women and children
People who steal for false prosperity
Like minded sinners filling up hell
People whom are murderers, better love mercy
People who abuse elder seniors better love forgiveness
People who mistreat animals is it true all dogs go to heaven
What chance does a sinner man have
When he's an atheist
And what about those who fondle and rape children
Who persecute those less fortunate
What about the one who shoots the guns
Wounding and killing at random
What about the adulterer, and fornicator
People who rape women and children
People who steal for false prosperity
Evil men dictators
Evil thoughts coming from us
And God once repented Himself that He made man
For you see we are sinful and dammed
Evil monarchs, kings and rulers
Whom cheat, lie, be ill-human--sub human
Dictators, Kings, Presidents
Evil men dictators
Evil thoughts coming from us
All shame, all sin
Are you all out or all in
Repent now, did I leave off something
Every knee shall bow, every tongue confess
That Jesus is Lord, so if I barely make it I better...better love mercy
Just in case I scarcely make it in
With all my sins, all my repentance, I better love grace

Premium Member A Man of Few Words

(woman)"Just cause I didn't smile at you
Just cause I didn't wave
I'll not wear feelings on my sleeve
That's no way to behave.

But it could be, that I like you
Maybe like you quite a lot
You won't know because you've given up
My heart is tied in knots.

I'll tell you what you need to do
Come over to my house
Knock on the door, 'no violins'
You're a fiddler, not a Strauss.

And if I do not answer
It's because I'm mad at you
You've made me lose my temper
Something I swore not to do.

Now listen up, tomorrow
Come back and try again
Knock, cordially, about three times
But I won't let you in.

That's when you firmly clear your throat
And in your sternest voice
Demand I open up the door
Don't give me any choice.

I'm feeling pretty flustered now
Still we've got to iron this out
Okay, now where did I leave off?"
(man)' I guess I'm in the house.'

"Oh yes, that's right, I've let you in
Don't act surprised to see
My hair is done, my face made up
The hem above my knee.

Pretend there's nothing baking
Though the smell does captivate
Fresh rolls; a well dressed fatted duck
And cause it's getting late

You may as well attempt
To hold my hand, but no
Those puckered lips you'll tuck right in
Or out the house you'll go.

Some other would be wooers
I've kicked right out the door
T'was one or two, no there were three
Pray don't be number four.

I've planned this well and all is set
We've made it up the hill
Now ask the fated question 'Sir'
((man) ' Will you...'
     "Of couse, I will."

Boobies

You take life from the deserving,
Strip strong women bare;
Tear a hole inside us,
Til we fear what might be there;

The lives you take are precious,
Though you discard them without thought,
Regardless of who they were,
You leave them all to rot;

You make us fear our bodies,
That which we should be proud;
Brilliant and beautiful women,
You leave off feeling cowed;

The disease you spread destroys us,
Cuts out our hearts and souls,
But the worse thing that you could do,
Is leave us feeling un-whole…

Regret - Feat Michael J Falotico

A bullet meant for one has somehow hit us both...
We tried to share more then we could but with little hope..
Now two hearts lay on the floor as pieces flow away..
I wanted you and her but my mind just couldn't stay..
To break one without the other is magic trick not found..
So now I lay here with my heart that barely makes a sound...
The hands of time I can not move or somehow change this mess..
I tried to have it all but I just ended up with less...
I damaged my own feelings by lying to her
Now I can’t live my days without my pearl
I never did realize, she makes my heart stirred
I’m on my insanity, my chance has been hurled
Her face now is my nightmare I can’t leave off
Lurking my thoughts of her wise and magic touch
What was inside me, I’d bled her heart and love
These make me drown my heart where evils crouch
Regret makes me awake yet in time kills me more
Death would only make me suffer inside the earth’s core
To live this curse is my only option
Until her forgiveness drunk by me as the curing potion

Home Schooler

I come over home schoolers house
He looks me up and down
am no looker
But the boy's looking

"So am suppose to help you out or somein?"
I nod without a word
He grins like satan
And im burning up in hell

"So hows it like being home schooled?"
He looks at me,use to the question and knowing the answer by heart
"Ive got free food"
And i laugh,he throws butterflies in my stomach

He sits me down
and he bends down for my bag
And looks up
I seductively say:Are you high?

He nodds
And i gap
He replies:High in 7th heaven
And takes my hand

The next thing i know im trying to get on his lap
But that chairs in the way
He flicks the chair
And he carries me easily onto the couch

But before i could get his lips
He collides onto the ground
his mom staring at us wildly
No more crazy fun for us

He looks at me with a frown
"Sometimes,i wish my mom would leave off school grounds"

***Humour and lips are a great combo=) ***

Premium Member Shield Mate

Prostrate upon a crooked bier of need
you writhe combustible.
I will not lie with you and burn.
I am not kindling to be gathered and so used.

Bring the strength of iron to your mast
stride beside me do not lean.
A shadow falls and by it
we will time our rise,
speak to me of Valkyries.

Words you bring,
and words but fill an empty air,
when deeds of valor show on scar-crossed skin
what need have I for frail
and harmless things?

Build me a ship stout, lapped board
a dragon-headed fright,
leave off the bruised and battered colors
of violet eve’s and blackened offerings.

Across the bitter seas of salt
a bloody tide abides, all men must end
but few stride, shield mate at their back.

Touch Odin’s hem and to Valhalla ride
I am insane it is true, but in truth
what does sanity breed
but insane cries?

Procrastination

I sit here with so many thoughts going thru my head
I just want to close my eyes and go to bed.
How many times have you felt the pressures taking its toll?
And you want something concrete that you can hold.

You daydream of the way you would like things to be
But you come back to the realities
You know that you must strive to achieve your goals
And not let anything stand in your way
But then you leave it for another day.

Procrastination is always there,
And with your thoughts the space it will share.
You say “leave it for tomorrow and a brand new day”
But tomorrow comes and it’s washed away.
These are the pressures that are taking its tolls
 When you lose your control.

Don’t leave off for tomorrow what you can do today
With procrastination there’s a heavy price to pay

Premium Member Workshop Poem - Family Ties

Family Ties
By Franklin Price
5/10/2015

Family ties are always there
Throughout our lives for whom we care
Expanding as our journeys change
These family ties will rearrange

As a baby mom and dad
Initially were all we had
Maybe siblings to make a fuss
To feed and change our pants for us

Soon came friends not in the house
With some good fortune loving spouse
New family to call our own
And family ties have further grown

Our chosen one new family
The old one still exists to see
A balance make between the two
Both are dear the old and new

If fortune smiles with loving face
And life goes with predicted pace
A child or more are added in
And family ties expand again

As time goes by and we grow old
To grandchildren our tales are told
Knots tightened then for future kin
Where we leave off they will begin

Tie knots square and make them strong
Make children feel that they belong
And when we've left this world behind
There will be family ties that bind

Family Ties – take 2
By Franklin Price

Family ties are always there
throughout our lives for whom we care.
Expanding as our journeys change,
family ties will rearrange

As a child our moms and dads
initially were all we had.
Older siblings made a fuss
and even changed our pants for us.

Soon came friends not in the house,
with some good fortune, a loving spouse,
new family to call our own
and family ties had further grown.

Chosen ones new family.
The old ones still there to see.
A balance made between the two,
both were dear the old and new.

If fortune smiled with loving face
and life went with predicted pace,
a child or more were added in
and family ties grew once again.

Grandchildren arrived as we grew old.
They're bored with us as tales are told.
Yet will tell the tales to future kin,
our tales passed on, theirs will begin

Tie knots square and make them strong,
Make children feel that they belong
And when we've left this world behind
There will be family ties that bind

Popcorn Makes Sense

The best thing about popcorn is its taste,
crunchy, salty, I like mine with butter.
You can buy cheesy, caramel, and sour cream
just to name a few.

Moving along to smell, no time to waste.
Fresh popped, bagged or canned, popcorn's unique.
I think it smells like a movie theater
and like ball games too.

The touch of popcorn? these points I have traced:
it's sometimes hot, then it's warm, and then cold.
It's food for comfort when I'm feeling sad (or glad),
it's not "hard" to eat.

About the sight of popcorn, it's two-faced.
Hard, tiny orange kernels turn into white puffs
it's not very pretty until it is cooked
the magic is heat.

What's there to hear about popcorn but haste.
Listen quickly, it's sizzling, then pop, pop, pop.
like a bunch of firecrackers cut down to size
but don't let it burn.

Now on its pedestal we have it placed,
a standing ovation for this favored treat.
Low in calories (just leave off the butter).
to popcorn I adjourn.

Even Old People Party On

Write an invitation, send it to your friends
“Everyone please come, one and all…

We are going to party, have some fun.”
Include a little note with these lines…
“Leave off the gifts, I don’t want them
Leave off the fancy dresses too”

Please come over just as you are
All I need is your smiling face.
RSVP if you can, and don’t delay
Tell me if you’re bringing a friend.
You really don’t want to miss this one!

Leave it to me to supply the food.
Ice to put in glasses, and chests to
Keep the beer cold. There will be
Even cola, and bottled water too.

There’ll be wine, and also mixed drinks.
Help yourself to dip and chips, and
Even shrimp and little sandwiches.
Rumaki is always a special treat.
Enough food to sink a battleship!
Stand up and dance the calories off!

Never say you are too old to dance;
Old people know how to have fun!

Think of when we once were young
Overdoing too much food and drink.
Most bodies would hurt the next day
OH, but we did have a ball!
Remember how we stayed up all night?
Raise a glass to those who didn’t make it!
One more drink, a song or two, and
We’ll party like there’s no tomorrow!

Brand New Day

Introduction: Some days you feel alive, some days you don't...it's the elegance of life which many face in the days of existence. Through our own fray whatever it may be, we look out for a brand new way towards the light. We wander, more or less as a rabbit looking for its new home; crawling in and out within this baffled world to find serenity - To find a brand new day filled with everlasting aurora of peace and contentment.

Sometimes the sky is blue, sometimes it looks so white
Sometimes the truth hurts too, sometimes it's blinding bright
Sometimes this life feels short, sometimes it seems so long
Sometimes we go abroad, and at times we feel belonged

Sometimes we want to heal, sometimes we just let go
Sometimes we feel so real, sometimes we feel hollow
Sometimes we don't forgive, sometimes we don’t forget
Sometimes we feel captive, and at times we do regret

Sometimes we sure wonder and pray to leave things back
Sometimes we surrender and we get back in track
Sometimes we learn to deem the truth from the lies
Sometimes we feel the change and start a whole new life

One day we see one light that brings in so much hope
It shows one true love, in a whole new view
That day may be today, reading this here and now
These words aren't just to rhyme, but to put a vivid smile

A smile which won't leave off today
As we all know it's a brand new day.

Uncurl, uncurl the fragrant leaf
the flag of Spring, joyous relief.
Let watercolor flowers rise,
let winter’s white be exorcised.
Waylay your woes, leave off your grief.

Tulips and pansies fill our sheaf.
Abundance eases disbelief.
Lift your eyes toward His blue skies
Uncurl, uncurl

Hear His robin’s merry motif
enjoy the scents, for life is brief.
Drink it all in, don’t compromise.
Yes, we are in God’s paradise,
give praise, live in this right belief
Uncurl, uncurl
