Layers

Strip away the superficial.
Place political correctness aside.
Forgive hurts of the past.
Erase all tension and harsh feelings.
Seek thoughts of love and understanding.
This is what you’ll find.
I’m you. You’re me.
We are the same
In truth, there isn't a divide.

Illuminati's Prayer 'Layers To the Sun Night Dominion'

Eagle light, I sun to you; through burning rainbows of the precious holy triangle, in the eyeful name of faith. Thanking you, for boldness, tameness, and firmness.

I choose to cloud strong in the stars of your perfections, with all righteousness.

I renounce the fold and toad spirit of fear.
I renounce lameness, coldness and excessive anxiety of king failure, and I storm up fame with your delicate power of iron blood.

Blind days, stray nights, and lost morning, mountain above humankind, changing their hearts into dead bats. But I choose to stay owl and wiser than the demon doves, that claw the world to death.

Even when my voice has sank, bone is bunt, and my spirit is crashing in the waves of the vultures.
You still refresh the train of my circle wonder and turned my illusion into a real vision and a rightful soul.

Now I am so higher than trees,
so orange and glow, and the rain of my blessing shower more than the delightful face of sown.

I wing and swing along with your sweat of test,
because In all things I face, your rod will always fight for me.

My eyes will always be opened with understanding and courage, because I am made golden and fruitfully amazed.

Thank you, for having your light into my sight and height.
Your gifts will always be my sun and blood, while downfall; will always run and flood.
Hooh...HaaaH!!!..so shall be!.

Layers of the Onion

Meaning, ever bending, never ending-ly open to changing it's mind and opinions,
by moving around words and pulling and pushing in different directions,
until everything changes, rearranges pages in history
just for the mystery to begin again
with new songs, new players and these layers and layers
of summits and new beginnings.
Of openings back to where we came in.
New meanings are foaming and forming
within the fatted belly of doing and screwing until done.
Come watch a new one get sprung.
A new shape to take place of the old, behold
and believe in your prayers.
They keep coming these layers and layers
and faces of women and men.
Turn around just to begin again.

Tell a simple story, so I can understand
something not too boring, and very, very grand
Ah, child there’s nothing simple about living as God planned.
Learn to love the layers, and cherish every strand.

Gone, gone, are the gardens I knew
Gone are the springtime roses that grew
I cannot blame the onions for my tears
I cannot blame the springtime, or the summer
Or the snowfalls in the winter
Layer, by layer, the years that flew
have peeled away small points of view…

Nature can soften, and gentle the rain
Quiet the memory, numbing the pain
But time can erase loving faces I knew,
I miss them so, I miss them so…

When once to focus, and see so clear
What used to be, is barely there
Photos, in my memory, that I want to keep
Layer by layer, to disappear

Why must they fade, why must they dim?
How will I know them, if we meet again?
Layer by layer, with the years that flew
I miss them so,…I miss them so…

Walking through the door of my childhood home
brought back tsunami of wisdom overture.
Tastes and colours in décor change with culture;
varied pallet of history in lands roam’.

My children had turned out to be a challenge
as they had early on displayed my talent
for examining and questioning latent
defects papered over; now seeking balance.

We’d a small, intimate wedding reception.
The wallpaper in the lounge is instantly
recognisable (like kin related distantly),
from the photos. No inkling of deception.

My parents had asked this sweet sixteen to voice
her preference for bedroom to replace staid
pattern reminiscent of a fabric plaid.
But they had vetoed black and white Op Art choice.

The celebrations of the many milestones,
spanning the blessed years of three generations
firmly recorded in the decorations;
layers of peeling wallpaper to bare bones.

Stripping Layers of My Soul

from the mountain's edge
tangerine tipped trees
aglow with the rise
of crimson skies
shine golden

i stand beneath
the dance of leaves
in the hues
of october's breeze
shivering
in its foggy breath
watching
as the trees
undress

stripping
layers of my soul
i fall
emotionless
bare
as death
piles
around me
in bloodless drops

i stand
in the pools
of its claret
bleeding myself dry
as i snap
like branches
through the weight
of life

The gray overcast sky predicts
Rain to layer the damp
Cool will become colder wet air
Trapped inside, lifestyle cramped

It is worse for blossoms turned brown
Their spring beauty cut short
Soon to join spent blooms 'pon the ground
Cold their life did thwart

The bullfrog croaking in the pool
Not hindered by cold air
Is he calling his love to come
See his fair lair

There is a stillness this morning
A quiet 'pon the air
All the birds softly sing their song
Yet stillness says beware

Layers of Emotions

Each of us show lots of sides
Through this lifelong yearly ride
We all share from day to day
Our emotions never stray
Depending on what is occuring
We can change so fast during
The moments that always come
Always filling our days from
The time we wake up to minutes
Ticking towards nighttime, we live it
Hour by hour we don't know
Which side of us is gonna show
But we always make it through
There is nothing we can do
This whole life can get so crazy
Leaving us inside a hazy
Fog of disillusion
We all come to a conclusion
Not to change one single thing
From the uncertainty it brings

Layers

For all the complex science of my mind
The crow still flies
For all the profound answers man may find
The sea still sighs
For all the glass and steel from which cities rise
And fabled disciplines new perches find
Archeologists explore their predecessors demise
Sifting over things that stare us blind

I want to stand alone in moonlight and night
And kiss your lips again
And need no answers breath or clothes is tight
With passion in my vein
The truest that comes when all my joys in flight
Manifest their meaning to my domain
Or children playing ring games while logs burn bright
The sweet harvest of the latent pain.

Layer upon
layer upon
layer
Living always adds another thick layer over hope.
Sometimes hope is rescued from this layered darkness.
Then slung into the suddenness of light.
Gasping and wide-eyed.
What is it trying to say?
What is it thinking?
Will it re-sprout its wings?
Has its voice become entangled?
Can it still hold a golden harmony?
Will it still be peaceful- will it scream war?
Will it share secrets- will it listen to yours?
Has is it turned into a simpleton-a reclusive savant.
Does it remember the day it was born.
Or simply forgotten what it wants-
Is it still the big dreamer?
Dodging a million potholes of the reaper.
What can it teach you?
is it still tame or has it gone feral?
will it bite or will it kiss you?
will it curl on your lap?
will it love you forever or cut you in half.

"i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)
i am never without it(anywhere i go you go . . . "
                                   ee Cummings

Years gone by
refuse to count
seems like yesterday
trying not to stop and think
                        yet I’ve never forgotten
how at your smile I’d melt
and wither at your gaze
how I treasured
every stolen moment
            and time stood still
                        in your arms
somehow I go on
never wanting to forget
            never loved anyone
                        like I loved you
under all the layers
despite the many years
the flame still burns
            I still love to carry
                        your heart within me

Layers of Bricks

Most go into a relationship protecting and guarding their heart
I do the opposite, mine is open wide right from the start
Others have built bricks around theirs, that have to be torn down
I slowly put up a layer each time a hurt makes me frown

With each rejection, disappointment, another layer gets laid
It's beyond my control, swish, swish goes the spade
Unkind words, untruths, the layer of bricks climb higher
Until my heart is safely buried away from the crossfire

Now protected by the bricks, I become emotionally detached
Only now able to see why we were inevitably mismatched
People love in different ways and have different needs
Next time I'll find a matching heart, before I plant my seeds

In time, the bricks surrounding my heart will turn to clay
Then dissolve into dust, for I'm too optimistic to live in dismay
The dust will be eventually blown away by someone with a open heart
And thus be the reason why every other relationship has fallen apart

To taste your tender essence once again
Springy, warm, lovely vanilla infused
Once more to travel the road to attain
A delightful thin slice of fudge suffused

Memories how they cling to your presence
Maybe create sweet impressions of my own
Lasting through time, problems, awesome pleasance
Could my life continue through a subtle sweet tone

Seven layer fudge frosted cake still draws
A picture in the mind's eye of mother
In the kitchen cooking without a pause
My life, her presence did surely color

Memories of seven layer fudge iced cake
To my humble grave assuredly take
