Untying of a Love Knot

When I used to dream
I used to dream about him
Fantasizing about how it happened and how it could have been
Demons, chasing Nightmares, Happiness on Poles
Tied into a loveknot and dangled in front of me
No matter how I ran, how far, how fast
It seemed to sweetly Escape
Just when he was in my grasp

I tried it all
New haircuts
New styles
New boys
Sexy sexy skirts
With new pairs of heels
Filling holes with things that
Really don’t mean anything
Except to say

I’m doing just fine without you

Days go by,
Months slip away
Years appear on doorsteps like unwanted infantile
Infatuations
I beat my self up for loving

the way
He moved
Spoke, touched
Laughed, ached, cried
He could
Heal the burns on my fiery soul
He could handle
Dangerous curves
On roadways unknown

My first love

Today I no longer linger
On whispers in photographs
Or chain ball letters
I don’t chase after white sports cars
Or sink when I hear his name
I see him sometimes and I feel his stare

Sting me on the places it hits
I’m with my own
And his with his other
But just to let him know
It’s okay
I smile
and let go

Unraveling
This cord
of discord

Love is forever
No matter the occasion
I forgive, i forget
and let him live
Without me

I appreciate
His gift, wrapped with
detachment
For the benefit, of each other

He showed me with open eyes
That I did not need a man

                                       For me
                                        To love
                                           Me
He gave
A bittersweet
Indescribable

Emotion. The Gift
Of Poetry.

Lover's Knot

A wistful smile upon her face,
Belies the look I need to trace;
For love needs not cruel rejection,
Instead it longs for sweet perfection.

Reaching out to touch tomorrow,
Leaving all that causes sorrow;
Looking forward with such yearning,
I find joy at your returning.

Let me taste your scent once more,
Bring back the dream we had before;
Have no fear and fear no scorn.
For buds of love will soon be born.

On your cheek the morning blush,
On your brow a fevered flush;
Like berries sitting in the cream,
You light my soul and fill my dream.

Let me quench your thirsty lips,
And taste the juice of honeyed drips;
To caress the languid eyes that sleep,
And join with mine that need to weep.

I need reach out to touch a star,
To know for sure just where you are;
For body language is understood,
Giving and forgiving all it should.

When fingers knit a lovers knot,
And find a stitch that they forgot;
Then all things that transpire,
Will feed the flame that lights the fire.

Premium Member Judge Knot

Some people think knots are for boy scouts and sailors
Cowboys, hangmen,Anglers and whalers
But knots have many jobs to do
To make this point I'll name a few

turning two heavy ropes into one?
The Carrick bend will get that done.

Do you need a loop at your rope's end?
On the figure eight you can depend.

Are you scaling walls of the steepest pitch?
You'ld be wise to perfect your Munter hitch.

Are you fishing one line, but wishing for two?
The Bimini twist can make that come true.

Please judge your knots by function and form
For if you tie them wrong
Your fish could be lost, Your boat could get tossed
Or your plummet could be mighty long

Untie the Knot This Christmas

Untie the knot this Christmas,
Have a look inside
At the gift you have been given,
It may be to 'cool' to hide!

Undo the layers of wrapping,
Find out what's hidden there.
Be careful how you open it;
It says, "Handle with care."

Unto you this gift is given,
It's stamped 'FROM GOD ABOVE'.
He sends this blessed present,
With unrequisite love.

Understand there is no motive.
This gift is free indeed.
It's given to each person,
Who truly has a need.

Unlock your heart this Christmas,
Let peace and joy flow through.
Then Christmas will be special;
Especially for you!!

Premium Member Solitude a Love Knot

SOLITUDE A LOVE KNOT

Rushing millipede of rain down my window pane
sadness drifts, glided uninvited ounce reef.
Unruffled even from billowing strain,
solitude steals unnoticed like a thief.

Tiptoeing feet over my naked crippling fear.
Verbiage expressed in trying train distraught.
I... yearning a life of dearest love cheer
let it be from solitude, it will sprout lots.

Loneliness prism echoes songs of sparrows.
Nectared bullet actions, a long tender sought.
Brushing my frozen hind with hues of rainbow.
In solitude, knowing thyself a love knot.
Healing ancient wrongs buried deep marrow.
Transfixed by time, dot by dot by dot...

The Knot

THE KNOT

In this dark lonely life that I
have
You are my golden star, just
shine
If the happiness that I have is a
sign that you are mine, then it's
fine
I am prepared to cross the line
It's about time I claim what's
mine.

Hold me now, dance with me
In these rainy days and muds
I give you my heart to feel
The aim is to survive the floods
listen to the rhythm of my
heartbeat
and let's dance to the great love

You are like a drug to my soul
you take me high
Spread your wings and let us fly
Fly high to the sky so I can try
One of the stars on your finger
for there is a knot I want to tie

If I were to show what love is
I would just show your picture
for you are the only love I
know.

My mind has become a fountain
of thoughts of you
Let us plant a tree that will
never fall
For there are healthy fruits I
want it to give
In our family tree where I'm
prepared to live
Let us plant a tree that will
never fall
Our family tree where I'm
prepared to live

Premium Member Gordian Knot

The Gordian Knot of perpetuity
woven around your heart
is a thick thread of anguish
created by poison fingers from internal pain

Born in a mass of dark muck that drowned innocence
in screams unheard
now feeds on the blood-soaked veins of lovers
like a vampire in ruthless exultation
that revives strength and vigor
to cold calculating eyes of worthless passion
dripping from the hungry sweat for those chosen
to share silk sheets in longing nights of fragile dreams

To leave their hearts an empty husk
that tumbles away in winds of confusion
across a serpentine path of endless footprints
when their pain and torment become insufficient for pleasure

If I only knew what I know now

I would not have entered this chamber
of fragrant scents and sheer elegant veils
where my flesh was torn by fingertip talons
leaving scars upon my naked back of tomorrows
where I emerged from this dung lit realm of fool's love
into a rush of shadows spinning away
from a vengeful mind filled with a reckoning
for an untold pain
covered now by the blank faces of passing lovers

Premium Member Untie the Knot

When I was very young, I learned how to tie my shoes in a tight double knot, but I couldn't untie them. I tried and tried but to no avail. I was stubborn and didn't want to ask for help, but eventually, I had to ask Mom or Dad to help me. And they did. It makes you wonder, who will untie the hard knots that humanity's responsible for?

who will rescue us
creation or creator ...
what of our children?

Premium Member The Golden Knot

In his warm arms, she slept, resting on her lover's chest.
Hoping, dreaming.....this was forever.
Fate tied them with a strong, golden knot.
They never from each other parted.

No moment did one not think of another.

And when this life is done, you will find them in the heavens,
Jumping from star to star, the golden knot,
Their gleaming bright, love treasure.

Tie the Knot Limerick

There was a girl, of I thought
I loved her so much, a ring I bought
  Thinking of happy marriage
To propose I summed up all my courage
Unfortunately, she wasn’t ready to tie the knot.

Love Knot

Just relax my love,
And allow our hearts to intertwine.
Something special was sent from above,
And you feel it...our hearts are combined!
I feel so blessed,
To have you standing next to me.
A love knot deep in my chest;
And I feed off your energy!
I refuse to give in or tire.
Emotionally, I've given it all I got!!
Your love is fuel to my fire,
And I've become tied up in your love knot

Premium Member Knot In My Stomach

Annoying knot right in the pit
Of my stomach, please stop it!
You twist and churn with fear and dread
Echo voices in my head

Have you any clue who I am
What I'm up to as a man?
What's your job, why were you hired?
I think you suck, that's it, you're fired

Here's your pink slip, now be gone
You been here now for far too long
Sorry there's no space for you
I've simply too much left to do

I wish you well, it's been a blast
Redecorate your room at last
Dust the Cobb webs, walls are painted
Furniture's been re situated

Loving life, this brand new space
Without you up in my face
Happy feeling at peace with me
At home, in love, completely free

Tie the Knot

Being with you
in your grace,
this feeling of love
can't be replaced.
You're gentle and trusting,
I admire your ways...
believe me love,
you drive me insaine!
So, let us unite,
let us close the deal;
your love and thought
Is all I can feel.
Thank you for all
the time we've shared.
Now let's make it forever
and have our love be declared!

Sailor's Knot

Our love is like a sailor's knot,
that binds us through the storm.
No matter how the wind blows,
 it will always be strong.
I know this is true my love,
for I feel it in my heart.
Nothing but the hand of God,
 can break a sailor's knot.

Premium Member Why Tie That Knot

Some like it hot,
                       some like it cold
                               While…
some p*** on each other, still some smother,
               under a blanket together...

                                 by

                 some strange, fatal plot,
                        they fall in love
