Best Kisses Poems
He told me he loved me.
It was winter and snowing.
We walked on the street.
In a suburb, what a treat.
Houses aglow, Rudolph outside.
I wanted Santa there to go
for a sky ride.
Mom had her pink flocked
tree in our bay window glowing.
He kissed me then, I hoped
my blushing was not showing.
That does seem, like centuries
ago.
That innocent kiss, so blessed
by the snow!
It was so crystalline and pure
as were we.
Kissing so sweetly,in front of
Mom's pink tree.
The years are gone, so is my
Mother, like her!
Oh.no, there shall never be
another.
God, eventually, calls us to our
eternal home.
Where happiness and peace do exist
and we never want to roam!

Sun golden shining warm upon the back speaks
wind cutting cold chills freezing thoughts held
captivating love standing a vigil faraway dream
Touching warm fingers of light in a deep blue painted sky
bewitching clouds gunbarrel grey shooting magic wishes
silver shading arrow points out into the softest peach charms spells
Everything spellbinding shines amazing beautiful enchanting
snow covered mountains cold winds howling and whistling tunes
bells in the distance calls you're the rock one clings to on Trawbrega's shores
Drawing behind the eyes wind bellowing whispers a blessing tides turn waves
inside joy burns one candle warmly flickering happiness butterflies dance
blue blazes to see the soul of a deeply treasured jewel forever sings

To touch someone’s eyelashes with your own
up close to their face, now isn’t that silly?
I can just hear all the virile men groan. . .
Butterfly kisses with one’s date? Really?
To tell you the truth, I’d not even heard
of butterfly kisses until one fine day,
and I might even have found it absurd
had someone most special not kissed me that way!
But there was a boy one night that I chose
to go on a date with - a flirtatious tease.
He said, “Let’s rub noses and be Eskimos”
and playfully put my young self at ease.
And then he said, “Kiss me like a butterfly.”
I giggled when he drew his face close to mine.
Both our lashes were long, and on our first try
our lashes were kissing; was it divine?
I won’t lie and tell you it was complete bliss,
but soon in my stomach there strongly fluttered
new butterflies from our first full-mouth kiss,
and I sighed with every sweet word he uttered.
He said, “Close your eyes” and then kissed both of
my eyelids so tenderly how could I know
if it were anything other than love
and, madly, I wished he never would go.
His eyes were wide open; I mirrored the touch
of his hands like butterflies, wanting to trace
my every feature. Those eyes said so much
as my hands caressed his sweet beautiful face!
His mouth on my neck, his breath at my ear,
his lips on my lips; I’d now tasted bliss!
What a boy from Quebec had taught me was clear:
Romance can take flight from a butterfly kiss.

This is written in acknowledgement to the lovely sweet men and wonderful Poets on Poetry Soup who have supported and encouraged me since I first joined. PSST! I’m certain they all have a sweet-tooth.
Demetrius Trifiatis, Silent One, Paul Callus, Victor Buhagiar, Chris Green, Peter Duggan and Darren White, Robert Lindley and George V - A big thank you to all you fine Poets.
I wade to you through peppermint streams
While thoughts of sugar plums dance in my head
And when on land I mark my way
With bright colored jelly beans of green and red
There are lollipop signs with delicious swirls
Atop red and white posts like candy canes
With delectable names like Chocolate Fudge Mews
Caramel Road and Honey Dew Lanes
Sweet Avenues and Streets - a mouth-watering choice
This yellow brick road looks so like Honey comb
Oh did you tell me to turn right or left?
Might take a bit longer to get to your home!
These bushes of delicious coconut cream kisses
And lolly golly bliss bombs ever so blue
Might tarry a bit while I sample these sweet treats
Don’t mind if I do - You won’t mind if I do?
Luscious flowers on that tree just like fairy floss
Oh my! Now this I cannot resist
Just another mouthful for along the way
Then lunch at 12 - you did insist
The ginger bread house that’s just up ahead
With a sweet fence surround like licorice twists
Its then that I see you waving to me
With a large box of chocolates - Oh what bliss!!

Raspberry Kisses
Silent kisses throughout the air.
Just like the wild raspberry affair.
Nowhere to know how,
Can they be found!
Now they are here,
Only to me you appear,
Fragrantly simple and sweet,
From your head to your feet,
Melts-in-your-mouth, easy to eat!
With an imperceptible sharp overtone,
Your lip texture finer than a rose,
A kiss, so edible it carries its own light juicy moan.
Delicious, I want to own them with an unlimited supply.
The greatest refined assortments, of every flavor of berry divine.
Delicately designed with a deep inner core,
"Cumulative kisses," wait to be explored.
Small cascading pods, contain the best forever after taste.
Exceeding saliva fills the hollow root in my cavity base.
Walking with kisses, which belong to the sun?
Your berry-fine sensation, lips of relaxation invade the method in my meditation.
The inner peace of you, lands in the most tranquil way.
My buds taste and hide this kissing quality; I won’t share nor display.
I desire this episode will full flavor ahead.
Transforming the imaginary form, from zero; till there is none.
The perfect persuasive peck of all picks.
Harvesting the ripest mental bliss only for my lips!
Berry-Mastery.
I belong to you.

November Kisses
November kisses arrive in the sunset
Lips ever sweet flutter soft on my skin
Lost in the sigh of a ending day whisper
Sharing a moment about to begin
There in your eyes is my first glimpse of heaven
Calling me into the depths of your soul
Fueling the fire of an unending passion
Sending affection beyond all control
You in my arms shines a moonbeam encounter
Shadows at play as we stroll through the trees
Stopping a while under star shimmered visions
Cool the caress of the chilled autumn breeze
Here all alone ‘neath the branches a’ swaying
Longing your touch on a night just like this
Floating on echoes of heartbeat affections
Patiently waiting your November kiss
Good night Soupers
Breakfast Kisses

Soft and delicious, each day, something to look
forward to.
Velvet cheeks that welcome me, as fresh as the
lightness of morning dew!
Your body parts, oh how they forever with your
human dew, please me.
Let me be your golden orange, and gently, gently,
do squeeze me!
All round the ring of Kerry’s highways, people point and cry
It’s 4 o’clock on the very dot and Mick’s rig is passing by,
It has glistening sheens of yellow, with cinnabar spots in red
Rich lozenges of orange complete the livery, as this butterfly forges ahead!
She’s kissing those dew damp breezes, on a morn like an Irish dream
As the sun’s rays like golden spokes
Steal silently; through oaks of emerald green.
lighting up a meadow’s buttercups, that border a hillside stream.
She hauls her load of butter, fresh from the herds of ‘Kerry’s spreads’
To sweeten the taste of a million slices, of European bread!
She’s making good time this morning in passing the various towns,
By 9 am she makes Letterkenny, to lay her cargo down.
Mick checks his trusty wristwatch
He needs to be back in Clonakilty; to make a special call
For by, begosh and begorrah ‘tis Father’s Day ‘n all. and
His sweet Molly will be waiting there, by an ancient rock built wall!
So he spins the painted lady round, to take the south west route,
Tooting to folks he recognises; as along that road he shoots.
At 1 o’clock he’s made it back, and parks the painted lady up
He wanders up the dusty track; just a Dad in working gear
Straightening an aching back, now his destination’s near
He searches the milling kids all around, many colours their faces show
And then he picks out his Molly. as those raven curls she throws!
She runs to greet him at his call, raising her face to be kissed
And she had chosen a painted lady, sure.. He felt how he had been missed!
He swings Molly up on high and they head back to the farm
She showers him with sweet butterfly kisses
As rabbles of the creatures unravel, in clouds and colours of charm!
NB the Painted Lady is an Irish species of Butterfly
A kiss for each cheek,
is what I'm sending to you.
One will last for only a week,
the other should last about two.
I'm sending them both on a string,
so when they land, give the line a tug.
On my end it will cause a bell to ring,
telling me my kisses have landed with love.
Don't worry about the line getting tangled,
because when I blow kisses they shoot like stars.
They are guided with great love from the angles,
on a string of love to be forever ours.

The Kissing Game Contest
1ST Place Winner
Snowflakes so silently fall
Like Angel kisses
Winters breath upon my face
Their departure traced
I have lost the words
I have lost the heart to dream
Every word that comes to mind
Brings me back to times
When You kissed me that very first time
yesterday is my fantasy
You kissed me then so long ago
Now I need you here, wishing so
That you were beside me now
I need you here
I need you now
Here and now the kisses glow
You gave me smiles
You gave me hope
That love could be a dream come true
You took nothing, only gave
Yet you stole my heart, and walked away
I can’t live any more, not without you
Your smiles made me dance and sing
And now I cant seem to do a thing
If I confesses the tears that flow
In the middle of these lonely nights
I wonder why
As so much time as passed
I still think of you
I need you here
I need you now
Here and now the kisses glow
Even now
Laying down upon my pillow
The world is all so different
My longing won’t go away
Even now
I wonder where you are
I wish
I wish for second chances
I wonder if you ever think
Of that kiss I once planted on your lips
I need you here
I need you now
Here and now the kisses glow
Now is never and long ago
Now has past and lost its glow
If only time could be held so still
Then here and now the kisses would glow

Passion fruit kisses, a tropical breeze
Butterfly flickers, your lashes do tease
Cherry encounters of promised delight
Spray of seduction, the sea mist at night
Mango martini of unmatched desire
Touches of Jasmine, fuel to the fire
Liquor of Palm tree, Coconut dew
Will keep me forever enchanted with you
Sunset of satin against raven hair
Pineapple mornings to bless skin so fair
Passion fruit kisses, a tropical breeze
To love you forever, Papaya agrees
After a night of rain, the sun,
its shimmer, a welcome like no other.
A new day starts with such promise,
an array of flora across the pasture
a gazelle leaping all over the place.
The kisses of the rain still visible
a delight for my eyes to behold.
