For miles silence reigns
For years solitude,
My heart is heavy
My spirit low
And I have a long way to go.
In life's eternal journey
I walk alone,
The night is dark
Somewhere yonder
lies my home
And I must traverse
many a silent shore.
I cannot laugh
Try as I may,
I cannot bring
myself to weep,
My joys and woes die
before they materialize.
From dawn till dusk
I have toiled often
gathering the remnants of
my broken dreams.
Before a hope is built
It crumbles down,
Before a wish is fulfilled
Frustration overwhelms me.
I am helpless
I drift through life,
As many a time I think to live
As many a time I die!
Contest: 'Faces of loneliness' by frank herrera
Fluted hands angle on knees as glimpses
sort the knitted threads of a late afternoon
where gathering of blooms abide.
Almost friendless, a man inhabits his space
ready to inhale the waft of new dusk,
of how a world in his inner terrain mirrors
the ceremonials of a mindful passage
upon grasses and half-lit windows
outside the self.
And through a prayerful instance,
he connects with a god hushing the tempo
of sighs mixed with incense blowing, as if
to twirl in an air of breaths cleansing
the scabs of trespasses. Miles of babel words
turn into a different language: quite unknown
and understood only by him who finds
contentment in being unbound ,of gliding
above a haloed sky that reflects the movement
inside his awakened essence.
For the atonement of all misgivings,
he releases his pride in layers
of deep confession to pay for his karmic debt;
that in a warm communion with humility
he makes amends for life's consequences
as stillness becomes his friend.
Anthony Slausen's Karma
Darkness gives birth to Light
I was once a victim of Narcissist's spite
Blinded by love I desired to feel and see
Instead I saw truth and faced reality
Awakened, consciously A fool no more
My Name is Karma, I came to settle the score!
Peace and Purity my domain, and then you came
With comforting promises and sweet nothings you played your game
With a sincere heart for you adoration grew
Your Deceit well masked, your mendacious actions brew
Perfidious lover you shall be no more
My Name is Karma, I came to settle the score!
Like a phoenix out of the ashes I rise
My sacred flame will disintegrate your shady disguise
The same toxic dish you served on my plate
Will be fed to you, you will meet your fate
Imposter! To you I have shut my door
My name is Karma I came to settle the score!
The seed that’s sown, so is the fruit you reap
Doer of the good gather good, evil of evil reaps
Vipaka or result is reaction and action is karma
Every birth is conditioned by good or bad karma
Watch your thoughts, for they become words,
Watch your words, for they become actions
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny
Buddhism preaches five orders or processes
The third order or process , order of act and result
Desirable and desirable relate to good and bad.
Men not punished for their sins, but by them.
Worthless people blame karma, good atone it.
Whosoever diggeth the pit, shall fall therein

The A to Z of Karma
The Law of Karma is very deep
As we sow, so shall we reap
The bad we do will make us weep
And the good that we do, we get to keep
It's a Law of Action, a Law of Reaction
It's a Law that says, we get what we give
A Law that ensures what goes around comes around
A Law that's for everyone on this ground
The Law of Karma is born from our Dharma
Karma is a Law, A Universal Law
A Law that watches all our actions
And a Law that ensures the same reaction
If we plant tomatoes, we won't get mangoes
If we plant cactus, we won't get a rose
So also if we do good, our reward will be good
And if we do bad – what returns is just as bad
What is this Law of Cause and Effect?
A Law that ensures the balance is perfect
A Law that records everything we do
Good or bad, it must come back to you
But how does this Law work, we don't know
It belongs to the One who created this show
It controls how on Earth we come and go
Does it end at death? The answer is NO!
Our Body may die, but our Karma stands by
We CAN escape our Karma – that is a lie!
Our Mind will be reborn to live and to die
And we will continue to suffer and cry
Death is not the end; it's just a bend
Whatever we have done has to be undone
If our actions are rewarded as we live – that's great
Otherwise, the residue will decide our next fate
Is our body responsible for how we act?
No, it's our mind that's in charge, in fact
Thus, the Law of Karma is that of the Mind
It's the ego and mind that suffers we find.
It carries the good and the bad that we do
The score doesn't settle at death when we go
Life after life, the score goes on
The Karmic score decides how we are reborn
So should we suffer again and again?
When will we finally escape this pain?
We can if only we Realize the Truth
We must get to the bottom; we must get to the root
What is our purpose of life on Earth?
Are we just born to die and take birth?
Where did we come from? Where do we go?
The Law will go on till the Truth we know
Are we the Body? Are we the Mind?
Are we the Ego? The Truth we must find
The ignorance that's around us, we must rewind
We are Energy of a different kind
The Law of Karma makes this world go round
It's a Law that makes sure all's well on the ground
The Law is for all who come and go
Except for those who understand this show
I traverse the oceans within a breeze
I light my way holding burning trees
Freeing my body, my heart, my soul
I talk and walk through miles and roads
I view the future with discernable need
Yet I succumb to my fate with noted heed
Do I lack the courage to go beyond my whole?
Do I feel the need to remain stagnant and tole?
I lack conviction in my sturdy brain
Trying to fight these excuses so lame
Solitary in my endeavours I so create
My weakness I continually berate
In my minds eye I spy this epic infused
In a twilight of colours I discover loosed
Yet I traverse the oceans within a breeze
And light my way holding burning trees . . .
blaming destiny
I am a man of free will
I reap what I sow
intent and action
I inherit my own deeds
will my past haunt me?
Why is it when you go out of your way
To help someone brighten their day
Or solve a problem that has things in disarray
They want to play you as if to say
You owe them in some superficial way
Putting on some kind of poor me display
Overshadowing the kindness you portray
Some are not able to see the good deed
That some people give so freely
They do it because they are able to see
What a difference this would be
For them to help make your day stay in play
Some people lack the ability to foresee
People go out of their way, not for praise
Or to be a standout who wants you to obey
Not to create a cushion for some far off distant day
We do it because we care
When we see someone in dispare
Or life seems to be unfair
When someone is down on their luck
Because everything has run a muck
Feeling like lightning has struck
Then being able to help someone become unstuck
It's just good karma that is our choice to send their way
It doesn't require money
Or a promise you will make it right someday
It simply requires a sincere thank you
A genuine reply without asking why
Understanding that everyone
Has not just left you standing
When your day became way to demanding
Knowing someone went out of their way
To keep your day underway
It's not how we repay the kindness
But rather how we display
All the goodwill that came into play
To help make it through your day
I watch the tears fall from your eyes, but then why am I mad? …This is the day I was
told about, they said I’d be happy, blissful, content, and victorious, so then why am I
sad…
Man, today I met a new side of me, I learned you could confide in me, and know that
your secrets are safe with inside of me, trying to weaken the soul that lies in thee,
but my heart is as wide as the sea. And I’m stronger than I ever thought I could be,
because I learned to forgive YOU, and to love ME!
So I wipe your tears and ask myself where is your strength… the strength that kept
me in complete darkness, provoked words of cold harshness, the times I CRIED and
YOU acted heartless, I let you guide me as though you were my compass, but you
chose to destroy me and feed off my weakness, leaving me to pick up the pieces and
tidy your mess. So if you’re wondering if I feel your pain, my answer is yes!
The pain you feel was a place I once resided in, so my only words of wisdom is take
this as life’s lesson, learn that things happen for a reason, ppl we think we know
change like the season, learn to fight your daemon. Don’t let this be a rerun, don’t let
your soul get beaten, train your mind not to weaken, don’t wallow in your sorrows,
forgive and forget and your life will sweeten……mines did!
I did, I moved on, forgave and forgot, and in turn I am grateful for all that I got. Road
out the waves, rolled with the punches, built back my strength, my emotions and
senses, brushed myself off when you threw me in the trenches. Drowned my
sorrows, faced all my stresses. And at the end of it all I made a few pledges.
I pledge to love me and put myself first, love me through hard times, down to my
worst. I pledge to forgive, we all make mistakes, I pledge to succeed and do
whatever it takes. Avoid all the foes, follies and fakes. Avoid stepping on skins of all
cobras and snakes. I shall not conform to gossiping and sin, because despite what
I’ve been through I choose to win. Do good on to others, be kind, be true, and your
hardship will cease, your sorrows will be few. Now wipe the tears from your eyes,
cuz you finally paid your due. You can run and you can hide but karma will always find
you!
There's a gal known as Karma; she'll charm ya,
and folks, I don't want to alarm ya,
but do somebody wrong,
and you'll sing a sad song
'cause she'll hunt ya down; then she'll harm ya!

Life has a funny way of smacking you,
not that I'm laughing,
at the sting of redness,
left on my other cheek.
It is said that karma is,
a word they call a sarcastic woman,
the word that rhymes with,
and almost has the same meaning as witch.
I have waited for karma,
and all her craftiness,
she seems to be taking her good old time,
she is after all,
always threatening to come around.
Maybe it would be better,
if I stopped wishing,
and just realized,
it's not beyond the realms of possibilities,
That karma has already done her job,
been paid,
and is now on a sabbatical,
I think my red cheek has healed.

"what goes around comes around"
I know your deepest fear, what you dread the most,
Still, your own desire you're preserving as a ghost.
You're guided by your arrogance; on your ego you rely.
Haven't you ever heard, the ego's known to lie?
You play your silly mind games; you think you are so smart,
But all this will ever get you is a sad and lonely heart.
You paint yourself untrustworthy with the antics that you pull.
No one can take you seriously when you're just a load of bull.
You think you are invincible and well above reproach,
But one as flawless as you, no one will dare approach!
You pride yourself with cleverness, while appearing stupid.
With so many attractive traits, there is no need for Cupid!
With all your flawlessness, you need not ever apologise.
One as perfect as you are, you're the apple of many eyes!
But how has this worked for you on that pedestal you sit?
Apparently not too well but you will never to, admit.
The years are flying by and the time is drawing near.
Sooner than you think, you'll have to face the fear
That you dread so much without another chance
To change your course of action and so, your circumstance.
Soon you shall be old and you will be all alone
With not one soul to Love you, except perhaps a crone
To make your life as miserable as you have to others, done;
To reap your Just Rewards, trapped in the web you have spun.

I was born with a baby karma,
and even as a child I knew about drama;
I see karma like putting cash in the bank,
for when insults are flung and soul has sank.
Well, my karma grew to teach me to just walk away,
and that in time those people will pay;
and to never give in to hate- the whisper,
karma is like my protective sister.
Be good and do good to elevate life,
I believe how people treat me belongs to them;
I move on even when their words stab me like a knife,
I just remind myself that I am- God's gem.
And with all my odd and weird- I love me;
I just wait . . for karma will find a way (do you agree?)
