Bleeding Love

Introducing: Jan Allison & Poet Destroyer

Pierced by shards of shattered glass
Deeper and deeper you stab me
With lies and venomous words
Dissecting my heart piece by piece
Crushed like the petals of a withered rose
I’m dying …
Scarlet blood seeps into my very soul
    Drip
       Drip
          Drip
Into pieces and a bloody mess
I sacrificed secrets;
Secrets you tore and tore,
Gracing a fake friendship,
Trust tossed like a sweaty towel
Now karma a poisonous snake
You plea ...
To be on death row, decomposing
Dripping into the night -- Silently
fading and fading
Stung by my viper lips,
     smiling
        grinning
           laughing
Until you are no more

ETERNAL RECURRENCE

ETERNAL RECURRENCE*

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I am certain that I have been here as I am now a thousand times before and
I hope to return a thousand times after.” GOETHE
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.

Once upon a time,
The Lord of spiritual consciousness was sitting peacefully on His blissful throne
Ceaselessly contemplating upon His equilibrium
T’ was the era of no moon, no sun, no stars, no earth, no oceans, no rivers
Just a motionless, timeless and deathless entity it was happy with His existence

2.

Suddenly the thought of sacred motion was felt deep down in his essence
Seeking the chaos to be stirred from its core outwardly
Consequently separating the light from the darkness and all the other elements
That constitute the Cosmos
Thus giving birth immediately to old mighty time

3.

When Time: This wizard of celestial art found himself alive
His expert hands stretched in advance, wanting to create
For that the plastic energy he took, that was everywhere around
And skillfully and patiently the Cosmos carved according to the Logos
Creating thus, the nebulae, the galaxies, the stars and all the other planets

4.

Then God looked at times creation and marveled with its beauty
But as there was no life to be seen in all of this creation
The thought of desire was born in God to inhabit every place
For that out of himself he cut myriads blazing souls
Which like shooting stars he sent downwards to animate nature,

5.

In this way, to manifestation’s cosmic sphere, the souls were beamed
Radiating their luminosity to reality’s lower planes
Bringing with them the sacred principles to denser forms of life
As they were passing from the spiritual, the mental and the astral
And finally materializing, themselves on the physical solid plane
Where life began on earth, with God’s will and grace!

6.

Each soul an ambassador was and is of God’s will and grace
A ray of divinity, a guardian of the Holy Law
Each with a specific mission: to learn or rather to remember
How to find the way of return throughout space and time
And with the divine, again, to be seen in perfect equilibrium

7.

The day I was born, as every man alive,
I found my immortal self bound to the wheel of time
That around eternity’s circumference took me, in very heavy chains
Asking to follow obediently the unswerving path of fate:
This endless trip of return where the only constant thing is change

8.

Since then I have died once and many times after
But death's dark palaces to hold me were unable
As my soul’s perpetual desire to follow my destiny
Brought me back to this ephemeral world of fleeting dreams
With a new body, new hopes, new goals but always with the
Same desire

9.

Thus I journeyed back and forth the plains of oblivion
Choosing the best conditions I could, according to my karma
Trying to find endlessly the golden middle way
That unmistakably between the extremes is only to be found
But since from the river of forgetfulness each time I was drinking
I was obliged, unfortunately, to start over again

10.

So, I was born once a king and another was I born a beggar
And in turns I was born a coward, a hero, a holy man, a vicious man,
A Christian, a Muslim, an atheist, an idolater a strong man and a woman
And healthy and sick I was born and intelligent and witless
And was I born to love so much the things I once detested
And to hate passionately the things I once held dear

11.

And I was born once to laugh and another just to cry
And I drunk successively from joy’s cup and that of sorrow’s
And was born to make friends out of my enemies
And enemies out of my brothers
And was born to realize the impossible dreams and fail the very easy
And I was born to slay and to be slain alternatively for thousands of years

12.

Thus I lived continuously the extremes of both good and evil
Striving to find endlessly the balance in my soul
Through the wisdom that was endowed upon me by the Great Spirit
That like a beacon, luminous, to guide me waits
To my supreme destiny that GOD for me has traced

13.

So, as was passing from life unto death, from darkness unto light
With a speed determined by me, I don’t put on GOD the blame,
All my lessons have I learned through trial and error
Up to the very last reincarnation, in body’s mortal temple

14.

Now free, AT LAST, from all earthly desires and every karmic blame
Radiating with holiness and glowing with grace
My immortal soul, HER divine wings unfolds and soars upwards the heavens
White light blazing in perfect equilibrium
And pure now to her glorious creator returns and with
HIM UNITES!

* This poem because of its length I was unable to post it in one piece for I was not a
member for life at that time therefore I published it in two parts as: “CREATION” and as “REINCARNATION.” Here is the entire poem as it was originally written.
Now, my friends know that apart from my epigrams I write... long poems as well!

Karma

Yesterday, I followed her true invisible form
Colors turning a kaleidoscopic deep and warm

A state of mind, that makes reality feel alive
Stabbing moments that teach how tough it is to survive
And still this dagger is penetrating into my back real slow
Sweeping away the grimace under the rug in a one woman show

Illusive dreams asking for more and more
Sinking with doom, as karma sways through heaven's door
There she keeps her walk on stilts avoiding kismet
Removing every single footprint before sunset

Spending eternity planning the bliss we cannot see
Quenching my confidence, with a moisture that pleasures me
Arching a dirty deed, aiming all fingers that point at me
Spreading her demonic ecstasy, a mass of light weight, we can't see

A giggle-some laugh, I cannot hear
Tainted, in a nefarious way as the night disappears
Delighted, she glistens through the celestial world alone
A whisper of love with an impossible auspicious tone

Epic and exquisite, she works incognito striking whomever she wants
She Is The Enigma!" She Is the Illness~ that forever haunts
A mysterious lady whose perception flows with her own timeless oasis
An Empress is working on her own simplicity basis

My body impervious to react to conflicts that dwell with deep desire
Aggressively my defiant ways will allow her excessive universe to transpire
Like a lily we give in to the beauty of her empress exploding ravenous lust
It's magical and feeds off of the revenge that deepens with thrust

Down in the lilac valley, storming down like a glacier leaving nothing below
We caress we emerge, then we dust off the repellent of her forsaken glow
Leaving us with wounds, when our conflicts ricochet
Impacting us with a rebound when everything bounces back our way

She Springs in like a breeze that dwells and leaves gallivant
Past shadows, swing back with a darker chant
Leaving nothing but a Chinese Aster garden terrace
Her crown, sheer vixen and vigor with Victoria's fantastical lace

Her candle desalinate effect with a gentle glow
Everything to her is an issue with the results that come and go
Karma's punishments sail real slow, against the wind, waged by the zephyr
Rebuilding from the aftermath of, Karma's payback splenetic weather

Close your eyes and feel the consequences we embrace
Secretly every wage comes with reward from our hubris sin
A grasp with no escapes from the repercussion and deeds in our hearts
Doors spillover, in a significant unexplained phenomenal start

Because

I was a fool.

I was a fool searching for reasons why.

Reasons why I
Grin with sudden boy giggles

As if Karma was my DJ,
Playing cotton candy woven riffs
Of rhythmic whispers

Evermore

Everlong

I savor dark chocolate Peanut M&Ms
Tasting her sincerity
With each Pacific Ocean observance
Her dialect portrays within
My sunset smiles

I was a fool.

A slightly nervous kid
At his first Sadie Hawkins dance

Holding a paper cup
filled with swirly colored punch...
...not spiked

;-)

Futile attempts to stifle these vibrating legs
From crippling my exhaling urges

I was a fool.

Searching for irreplaceable reasons
Why my smiles became
An 11 year old innocence

I smile.
I blush.

I embrace a new dream
Written on embossed bucket list

To hold her

To hold her

To hold her
towards sunrises’ incipience

One day
With no reasons why

Simply

Because

A Diminished Respect

There was a time.

There was a time
When your fabled dreams
Seemed honest

A time when
Your open arms
Coated in dented silver and tainted dreams
Understood my Size 12 shoes

When the world seemed to be against you
Yet, still,
Your blunt eloquence welcomed me home

Then, your “rainbow”…
…shat
           t
                er
           ed

Your heartbeat became an arrhythmia of petulant theatrics.

Your topaz coated spit
Released from refilled white-out bottles,
Brushing away quartered moons of an iridescent shame

A copycat of robotic muses
Infringing upon your pedestal,
Turned loud mouth, afflicting broken tongue

The “Stalin” of a messenger’s wit,
You raised your voice to a poignant sky!!!

And, as if Yahweh cured your muted disorders,
EVERYBODY HEARD YOU!!!

Including me

That was your goal…
…excluding me

From incipient edge, I witnessed you,
A turpentine puddle in front of a confessional booth
On a melancholic Thursday morn,
With ripened glares to avoid your hallways

Tangled, dangling pacifiers as your doorbell

...

There will come a time.

There will come a time
When social feeds will deprive your vexing smile
Of validation

Where ignorant heartbeats will awaken
Through lyrical epiphanies
To see your “rainbow”
As a faded, stolen crayon

Where flirtatious dialect from withered accomplice
Licks cubic zirconium’s aftertaste
Forgetting that karma doesn’t tolerate one-night stands

For me, that time is now.

Then, I knew who you were.

Now, I know who you are.

You are not what you say.

A false advertisement in Sunday’s illiterate paper…
…with erased verbatim amongst your mirrored peers

Remembering how you falsified truth’s smile

Dire requests for empathetic warmth of our yesterdays
Yet, my Agnostic coat could never be thick enough
For your saturated, dual face

Elicit Illicit Lucid Dreams -contains nudity-

~JSLambert does not (currently:) use, or encourage hallucinogenic drug use.

Telepathic psilocybin prescription erasing elastic depression. Competition
wanes, just when nocturnal emission drains. Lifted poetic wing clipping. This
party only makes sense to those encrypted with unconsciousness. Scalpel in
hand, methodical break and entering, break dancing meninges remove
portions of brain doin' the bitchin'. Ah, this immaculate incision!

Lucid dreams vacating turnstile vibrations, deteriorating horrific screams
douching eardrums. Ultraviolet eyes fortified by THREES---Mind-Body-Soul,
rolled up into one huge trinity.

I'm moving asses fantastic. Call me the "Proctologist of Poetry".

Electrify words, regurgitate, choke and vomit the crock of crap-ola. Venture
down butter slides until the sky goes red.

Still too uptight to listen? (don't pretend in comments that you read this
entire poem if ya' didn't) glisten, be kind, rewind, let liquid swords chop away
fat weighing upon your forces. Once doors of perception swing eyes wide
open. Devour the false to magnify hate. I love you the same. I love you, never
in vain. Hearing your verse lifts a heavy curse carried in shame.

As a child, I had no fear of apocalypse, or world hunger. No, phobia meant
running out of words to give, to receive, from lips. It haunts me to this day.
Tho' the bliss of poetic language's kiss, soothes the cries. Altruistic sighs! Now
we dance! Dancing Harmony times three equals harmonize! Tour your Third
Eye, yir' Karma-eyes!

To the heads that said, "NO CAN DO!"- We've weaved advice for you. File
illicit deeds away, for in dreams we are connected, Siamese twins, at the
wrist, spellbound paradise! Let go of doubt, negativity= below zero. Work it
out! Crash whiplash angles 'till friggin' rectangles dangle through
kaleidoscopes of style. Poet trees smear the cosmos. Let go! THREE will never
be alone. Bestow the glow, thorazine vapors escape secret tombs where
peroxide cleans wounds. Fusing two Toots in common with Nefertiti. THREES.

Elicit illicit lucid dreams gushing ejaculatory melodic screams. Orgasmic
spasms...vas deferens between actual sacks and Staff of Ra polluted sticky
streams. Peddle the bicycle high, annihilate attrition, like motivated Mormons,
door to door men, on a worldwide mission. I love you, I miss you...witness the

I Know YOU from My Dream

Dreaming quite deeply one dark night
I saw your image and most beautiful face
Passionately kissing my soul and spirit
Charming my innermost desires and wishes
Beguiling my inner child making him smile
Soothing my feelings capturing my emotions
Mesmerizing me with unconditional love

This dream stayed with me on many lonely
Nights for at least over a year or so while
Leaving me to awaken feeling very happy
But also so very sad only seeing YOU . . .
As a dream and a part of my unconscious self
Yet I longed and longed so deeply to see
And to meet and to love the real YOU . . .

And then one day about two years removed
From my recurring dreams of YOU . . .
I was walking along a beautiful ocean beach
And watching the waves break and come ashore
Feeling the warm summer wind touching me
Quite soothingly and enticing me most deliciously
When I walked literally and directly into YOU!

Upon on this event, we both stopped in our tracks
At first surprised, then stunned, and not talking
Then our mutual surprise and astonishment
Quickly gave way to warm smiles and laughter
And then YOU said to me: “Where have you been?”
Your question said it all to me—my heart melted
And I said: “I’ve always been with you my darling!”

Call it Fate . . . Call it Destiny . . . Call it Karma
Both us had been dream beings to one another
And now we’re standing in front of each other
Very real, very alive, and very much in love
Personifying at once giddy star-struck lovers
Whose very spirits and souls are united as ONE . . .
We embraced passionately and kissed longingly

As we embraced—it was as though time stood still . . .
Our mutual dream worlds connected in this real world
And the effect of this moment finding each other finally
Was both quite overwhelming and intoxicating for us
As our mutual fondness, desire, love—all there
As we kissed and caressed so deeply with desire
Our joyous eye contact and tears confirmed all

We sat for hours on the beach entranced in our
Own world of rapture, devotion, presence and passion
While talking, caressing, kissing, smiling and laughing
And learning so much of each other so fast so deeply
And Never Ever wanting to leave each other’s side now
Our souls crossed a millennium or more to find one another
And to unite our human spirits as one on this cosmic Earth plane

I never expected to meet my love, my soul mate—YOU!
In such an improbable fashion, yet crossing deep space and time
We found our souls bonded in love and blended into one
Our real lives together now filled with unbridled passion
And our goals, desires, emotions all cascading together as one
And now at night as we lie together sleeping and dreaming
Our lives, our souls, and our love all real—since I found YOU!

KARMA

Fluted hands angle on knees as glimpses
sort the knitted threads of a late afternoon
where gathering of blooms abide.
Almost friendless, a man inhabits his space
ready to inhale the waft of new dusk,
of how a world in his inner terrain mirrors
the ceremonials of a mindful passage
upon grasses and half-lit windows
outside the self.

And through a prayerful instance,
he connects with a god hushing the tempo
of sighs mixed with incense blowing, as if
to twirl in an air of breaths cleansing
the scabs of trespasses. Miles of babel words
turn into a different language: quite unknown
and understood only by him who finds
contentment in being unbound ,of gliding
above a haloed sky that reflects the movement
inside his awakened essence.

For the atonement of all misgivings,
he releases his pride in layers
of deep confession to pay for his karmic debt;
that in a warm communion with humility
he makes amends for life's consequences

as stillness becomes his friend.

I Started A Joke

So professional in his lies - So ruthless in his ambition Feeding lies to the simple folk - convincing in his deception Telling them they live on toxic farm land - succeeds in striking fear Cutting ties they sob in sorrow - selling up farmland they hold dear His visions now come to fruition he's the land owner for miles around Success surpasses his wildest dreams and exuberance exceeds all bounds Amazed at peoples gullibility of seeing things in black and white To his personal sins of omission he’s dispassionate in his sight An affluent developer now more ill-gotten gains then he’s ever dreamed Blinded to his own appalling self-deception - so steeped in what he’s schemed No compunction or scruples - not one bit - despair and heartbreak left in his wake Let the ignorant be blissfully blind in their slumber - best not to awake In his haste to erect complexes cheap materials he substitutes Waterways became fast dumping grounds which he so stealthily pollutes Disregard of public health - quick profits so enticing within his reach Indifferent to the major far reaching consequences of his breach For many long years living the shallow life of Carpe diem excites Till one day to the bafflement of all sickness in the town strikes The most vulnerable of them the children the first to get ill Professionals get summoned and asked the causes and will it kill? He looks to the skies, resolve of the issue seeks heavenly help. But the lie that he has so blatantly spread has manifested itself The toxicity is in the water - results of the tests come back to haunt Karma has a way of working in circles and returning to taunt Overnight he is a ruined man worried people flee in droves Bad news has a way of travelling fast as awareness grows At his shame people scornfully laugh no matter where he goes Looking to the Universe - in desperation he implores It speaks to him in soulful whispers to make Right a Wrong Enthusiasm at first to do so dies before too long To go out in all humbleness and preach elicits doubt Tortured fears of inadequacy germinate and sprout His own fears his incompetence returns in falling tears A difference he could make by standing up to his fears Baring his soul can he reveal the folly of his life? But his courage deserts him - as for resolve - it takes flight Past youthful dreams and hopes like recurring tunes maddeningly play Lies of yesterday ricochet - becoming his life’s regret today Magnitude of taking innocent lives is now his daily burden Now he faces his ultimate challenge before the final curtain One last thing before he dies perhaps a truthful book he will write Of his mistakes accept blame and confess to show he is contrite Perhaps through his repentance consolation to his soul will give Deaths parting gift to humanity be absolved as they live and forgive
Synopsis of Song ‘I Started A Joke’: Written by Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb the song is supposedly about someone who has done or said something horribly wrong, which results in feelings of social alienation. Robin Gibb talked in 2009 about "I Started a Joke". The listeners have to interpret it themselves, trying to explain it would detract from the song" The hauntingly beautiful melody brings the ballad up to one of the top 2 or 3 songs that the Bee Gees have ever written. My Karma

For miles silence reigns
For years solitude,
My heart is heavy
My spirit low
And I have a long way to go.

In life's eternal journey
I walk alone;
The night is dark,
Somewhere yonder
lies my home
And I must traverse
many silent shores.

I cannot laugh,
Try as I may,
I cannot bring
myself to weep,
My joys and woes die
before they materialize.

From dawn to dusk
I have toiled often
gathering the remnants
of my broken dreams.

Before a hope is built
It crumbles down,
Before a wish is fulfilled
Frustration overwhelms me.

I am helpless,
I drift through life,
As many a time I think to live
As many a time I die!

It's More Fun With Three

It was all gravy baby I'd got me a lady, she kept saying "when you gonna pay me?". I guess no man ever gets it for free. I'd given my money to the agency.
I made her a coffee and I offered her a toffee, she said "mmm you treat a lady properly", I said "probably" and showed her around the property.
She was proper pert and perky, I felt not worthy, she's the sort of girl that'll make you pervy.
She said the coffee gave her some energy, and she could out do a Duracell bunny, I said "I see, would you like some ecstasy?"
She said "yes please" and agreed to split the fee with me.
So I got on the phone to my dealer Hillary and ask for a delivery.
She arrived very quickly and I told her I've got company,
she said "can I come in it's more fun with three", as she looked at me seductively.
I introduce her to Lindsay, as that was the name of the lady.
They said let's live a fantasy. I had to check if I was actually in reality.
They asked to see my woody, I got it out they said "hail mary".
I said "go easy girls you have to share me". We shared a laugh that none of us were hairy. We did it for hours repeatedly, missionary, doggy and some position called froggy, when I was done they'd say to each other "scissor me",
it's a day that'll live in the memory........
because both the b*****s have had twins with me, I wish I had used a bloody johnny!!!
Karma quickly reversed my lucky,
and that's why I've got no flucking money!!

The View You Choose

Somedays I feel like I'm surrounded by bars and bricks,
chained up in a round cage with tar that sticks.
I see no stars in the sky at night.
It would be nice to see some light.
Just a flicker, since there's no sunrise,
for my eyes, from the skies,
where hope lies.

Yep, hope lies, Pinocchio in disguise,
with no nose, on show, to let me know, if deceit flows,
from mouths where noses would grow.

So I turn to alcohol and slowly increase the dose,
until I doze and awake with the shakes that alcohol creates.
To make myself steady I get out, the glass, the coke and the voddy,
and drown myself down into the "junkie" category.

Somedays I feel like I'm surrounded by bars and bricks,
so I drink water and take vitamins to get far from my minds tricks.
A full moon but no stars in the sky at night.
There must be a faint cloud blocking that far travelled light.
The moon and the street lights move me to comfort,
and inside I perk, forgetting today and all that work.
Tomorrow is another first.
I think life offers more than I deserve.

The view you choose can shape a situation,
however, maybe karma works in rotation.

Before the cold ice the water boiled and from it steam would rise.
The dry ground is hit by water that falls from the moist cloud high in the sky.
Before the loud cry there was stunned silence.
Victory occurs from the lessons found in defeat,
before peace there was violence,
and maybe it all works in repeat.

These opposites are what make life sweet,
even if all the bad times are no treat.
Just don't be one to sit still in a seat,
because that is just a waste of your heartbeat,
just get back up to your feet,
and if needed try and try again to reach your feat,
because there is perfection found in repeat.

Hope that you find,
is of your own mind.
If there is no hope today,
then be aware it's on its way,
and that is hope anyway.

So stay positive,
just live,
only when dead have you nothing to give,
and that is the time to allow the negative.

You can live, choke and fail to cope,
OR
You can live, breathe and believe in hope.

Star Flower

In the twilight of suspended star thunder
where the waking jungle and broken Temple of tradition meet one another
she moves with a panthera prana, pranayama of precise paradise, air of spaceless pleasure,

A lavender Tigress of effortless enlightenment
seeking sensations on the edge of eternity's cremation,
on her fingertips questions and answers dance to mudras of nimble demolition
as the triumph of truth blazes on the tip of her tongue's flavored amusement,
genetics of ginger helix she licks and sticks to the flesh of nude nirvana
limber in the moment of typeless titillation,
becoming an animal of fearless asana,
a creature of chaos prowling along the heartbeat of karma,

Brahma made her beauty from the diamonds of a billion deceased roses,
the ascetics recognize her as a child of Kali, gorgeous and gruesome in vendetta,
for the Brahmins she is a Mother of immeasurable mystery, a kiss on the eye of history,
worshipers whisper the wealth of her shameless and shapeless clarity, as charity of Parvati,

Heirlooms of sun blood and moon love decorate the tender truth of her body,
a garden of webbing galaxies, catching the notions of novas her mandala,
rain romantic in flying fall, plucking the Ganges sitar her mantra,
the movement of melange madness through perfect passion her sutra,
poetry naked on the nerves of nascent love need is her tantra,
chakras uniting to recreate the uncreated color of consciousness, crown her aura,
as the lotus of love blooms blue, she dances on the fragrance of freedom -

I fell in like with you

Inspired by one of my favorite bands, Rise Against, and the song is called,
“Ever-changing” (Acoustic). Please listen to this song if you don’t know of it. It’s raw &
powerful.

“Have you ever been a part of something? That you thought would never end. But then, of
course, it did.” –Rise Against

“I fell in ‘Like’ with you”

With her smile
I melted unto oblivion’s redemption
Candy coated perceptions, windows’ gap
Seeping brilliance refreshment

Uncertainty resolution, polished
Absorbed into closeness sun
Yet these eyes still…see
Butterflies taking notice, missing you…as you stood in front of me

Strong, yet soft legs
Foundation of my face to rest upon
Scars…fading
A cremated sin

Yet, elongated moments of silence
Created abruption’s new face

The face of change
When she turned to me and said
“I’m not sure, anymore”

Emotional lullaby, rocking me to sleep
New battles with spectral flashback
Trying to get under my skin, a drunken tick facing demise

Phoenix’s sunrise, rejuvenating my recycled defenses
Yet, today, these rays just aren’t bright enough to burn sadness away

And with these sounds of storm clouds & Fall on horizon’s breath
These grounds are so familiar, yet bittersweet
This heart doesn’t want to be enlightened by karma today

It wants to be held for how it shines now

Denied…distance wins again today
Slavery whipped punishments in miles and blocks
This must end

Because I try to keep lines open to get a call from you
Yet all I hear are booty calls with busy signals

And yet something has kept me here too long
But can they leave me, if I’m already gone?

Something has kept me here too long
Karma’s laughter

But, through it all, I will shine

…

How I wish my mere presence can bring joy’s tear to her eye

Sadly though, now, the lines are drawn
Yet I wonder if this feeling is gone
Have the best parts of this…come and gone?

…

Maybe I’ll never know the truth

Perhaps she was misguided by jealousy’s deprivation
Deteriorating heart’s splendor

While I fell in “like” with her

Perhaps “Better Man 2.0” appeared from Cloud 9’s fallacy

While I fell in “like” with her

Perhaps
She held onto the past

As I, drawn to waterfall’s edge
Allowed myself

To let go…and F

Butterflies Are Free

Butterflies Are Free…
(For Karma Nurisha Wa Kupenda)

I touched a butterfly;
It flew away
Free:

Soaring
Into the gentle breeze.

Through the prism of my tears,
Rainbows caressed the skies:

I miss you
And cherish
The cocooned years.

Untwisted

Sometimes the memories won’t fade
All the places we have seen
All the prices we have paid
The memories of the happy as well as the sad
            The people we’ve lost
           The friends that we had
Some memories just seem like a ghost
I always lost everyone that I loved the most
The wind would just carry them away
             Along with my tears
            And my ability to pray
I wonder how far is heaven from here?
              How many more heartaches
                 How many more tears
I wonder how far it is away
Because I have so many things that I wish to say
To all the people that I loved and I lost
             I’m not even tripping
             My heart paid the cost
The reaper rode the river in a bikers disguise
I’ll never forget the fear in my mother’s eyes
As he drug her under and then let her go
Through my four year old veins hate started to grow
My eyes were blind my ears were deaf
After that I forgot
           There was anything left
Karma is like poker for it is bound to luck
When I was just a boy
God through me under the truck
Of all the things in life we feel
We are all bound to God’s will
Passion is a doorway between love and hate
God is the dealer in the game of fate
Our place is not to question why
For if we do our faith will die
The deeper we hate the deeper we love
I was gifted wisdom by the Lord above
Every gift comes at a price
A world of experience behind my advice
Every smile holds a lifetime of pain
Nothing that happens should happen in vein
It is our choice that which we do
Know in your heart these words are true
The harder we fall the further we climb
No ones life is totally sublime
Illusion after illusion will be offered to you
But only the living word is true
The living word that beats in your heart
Will keep you safe as the world falls apart
Through the pain of a boy watching his mother die
It’s never to late to kiss the sky
A man of faith who could never give up
Please come break my bread and share in my cup
By the time our journey is through
I’ll share all I am with you
Hopefully somewhere in my words you’ll see
---Untwisted is truly the way to be---

Badly Bent Not Broken

We laughed at each and every thing.
You were my sovereign soul mate.
How could I know when I wore your ring
that you were the one would teach me hate?

So many days filled up with laughter.
Nights of unmistakable pleasure.
Then you hung me from the highest rafter.
Caused me pain too deep to measure.

I worked so hard to perfect and please.
Giving you everything I was made of.
In times of stress I'd bring you ease.
You flourished in unconditional love.

One night I came home late from work.
There was my telephone message blinking.
Turns out you're a heartless jerk.
You shattered me without twice thinking.

Those words still haunt me to this day.
"I simply can't go on pretending.
I need my freedom and right away".
How cruel the message you were sending.

Yet when I recovered from the shock
I picked up the pieces of my soul.
For years my heart was under lock.
But now I'm healed and once more whole.

I've heard that you never settled down.
That great love's never come your way.
Well karma reigns and you wear the crown.
That's really all I have to say!

No free lunch

A scientist pursuing research—
with disinterested curiosity,
Poets distancing themselves—
from personal emotions,
from ‘personality’ (in Eliot’s idiolect),
A sportsperson focusing on the event—
not obsessed with results,
demonstrating sporting spirit,
Anyone doing their karma—
regardless of results,
as characterized in Indian scriptures,
notably the Gita—
All these are instances of detachment—
Of varying degrees
And of course in various domains.
Thus, they all fit into a paradigm.

The old order changeth, yielding place to new!
There was a paradigm shift in the globe—
A mutation.
Detachment suddenly changed
To (greedy) Attachment—to profit.
And the Rat Race started.

It originated in Keiser’s pre-War Germany.
Chemical industry sponsored Academic programmes.
Welcome!
But chemical weapons were piling up.
Oh, what a pity!
And war seemed to be the only solution—
To dispose of the weapons.
Dreadful!
No free lunch!

A weak Kaiser yielded.
Germany plunged into war—
A development not dissimilar
To the piling up of warheads in the US,
Leading to the Gulf War.
Germany lost.
Kaiser abdicated and fled.
Now, a broken Germany
Had to launch another war,
To salvage its economy—
With far more disastrous consequences this time.
The Fatherland broke down.
Führer killed himself.
Germany was broken in two.

But the new paradigm continued to work—
Spread globally.
The world came to be governed
By corporate concerns,
T&C.
No free lunch!

The rat race continued
And still continues,
At breakneck speed,
Between the two Geopolitical Blocs,
Between members of the same Bloc!
What about ideology, then?
No problem.
No free lunch!

The paradigm shift means
Commodification, Cutthroat competition,
Aggressive marketing, Subliminal appeal,
Throwaway mode,
Exploitation of labour.
What about ideology, then?
No problem.
No free lunch!

Benjamin Bloom came.
Outcome-Based Education
Displaced Liberal education
Academies gave up Engineering,
Offered Technology.
Research was all geared to
A noble, commercial purpose.
The world became a Workers’ Paradise,
(in Tagore’s idiom).
Exploitation of labour?
Will go on.
No free lunch!

Fundamental Research?
Who cares?
But what about values?
‘Politically correct’ language, please.
No free lunch!

Writers?
Of late busy with contests—of course.
And write only for prize money!
The muses or Sarasvati?
No superstitions, please.
No free lunch!

Sportspersons?
All on the market,
Waiting to be bought off
Or already auctioned.
Can’t help it.
Sponsor-pressure.
No free lunch!

And sporting spirit?
What do you mean?
Current English, please!
No free lunch!

And what about detachment?
Why, are you a Buddha?
A Charlie Chaplin?
A Tithonus?
A Rip Van Winkle or an ET?
Google Postmodernism and Kali Yuga
And find out.
Read rags and update.
Or you’ll be detached.
No free lunch!

Om, shantih, shantih, shantih!

Karma

     blaming destiny
I am a man of free will
    I reap what I sow

    intent and action
I inherit my own deeds
will my past haunt me?

The Optimistic Pessimists Resolutions

Get in shape, lose some weight. Every year it’s always the same. Read a book, stay home and cook, And I only have myself to blame. Till some land, lend a hand. You’d think that I’d be smart enough, Cards to send to a sick friend, To ignore this self-improvement stuff. Get more sleep, don’t sell cheap. But it is an annual institution, Take a class, use less gas. To make a New Year’s resolution. Eat less meat, be more discrete, Why must they always be so hard? Be more caring, try more sharing, This time of year puts me on my guard. Be more polite, sleep at night, I wish for an easy way I will confess. Work hard all day, don’t over stay, To keep the resolutions that I express. Only say what you mean today, What if I only made an easy pick? Do your best to skew the test, Then my word would surely stick. Eat more snacks, take more naps, I’ll confuse my karma and trick it. Watch TV, look out for me, This might be just the ticket. Stay up late while cheating fate, This is a New Year’s revolution, I’ll make my list then I’ll insist, That I keep this year’s resolution. And when it’s time to stay in line, But my promises I fail to keep. I’ll not hide as I backslide, As the benefits I will reap. I’ll be complete whenever I cheat, And by default I’ll do what I should. It won’t make me sad when I do bad, Because my failing will only do me good.

I am feel certain that my Karma
Is to sail over there, Charma
When I get to Malta
I surely shall waltz ya
Til I’m quite sure I done charmed ya...

(Then I’ll fly you to Louisiana
And drive you to 'Sweet Home Alabama’)

Gothic Loneliness

Darksome night and shining moon,
hearken to her echo In blue...
fragmanted woods spreading aroma..
The scars of my karma turn erotica...
She didnt fly she is coming down...
A faithful eve, wearing a black gown..
I was born in love with thee,
So why this world stands in between..?
I am her posession, She is my darkness..
Oh how I wish this world to embrace..
I hate this blood soaked field of glory,
I am grateful to her for this soliditary..
A tiny grain of ego, lust and lies...
Divinity told her to break the ice...
Seeing world in such postition...
Universe laugh for the final perdition...
She blessed me with divine words,
Which never connects me with this world...!
